1146 A New Family Member (3)
Chapter 1146: A New Family Member (3)
As the creature grew to Lily’s size, its eyelids finally moved. Aakesh and Lily had hurried expressions spread across their faces as they intently stared at the creature floating in the air.
The slight movement continued for a while, and suddenly its eyelids slid over, revealing its innocent, abyss-like eyes.
The view of the creature was blurry, but only for a short time. It soon turned into a clear picture.
Hum!
The newborn chaos whale opened its mouth and made a sound.
An excited expression spread across Aakesh’s face as he went ahead and gently grabbed the whale. The arch with the pattern was still there, but it was so small that it would only be sighted if closely looked at.
Aakesh gently stroked the flat head of the whale. The creature closed his eyes, enjoying the touch from Aakesh.
After opening its eyes, it found Aakesh to be its closest relative, so it immediately got attached to him. The same was true for Lily as the whale’s eyes moved and looked at the white, furry creature on top of Aakesh’s head.
A smile appeared on Lily’s face as she jumped onto Aakesh’s hands and touched the creature with her tiny hands.
She then looked at Aakesh with an obvious meaning in her eyes. Aakesh nodded and smiled upon looking at her.
“Your name is Khaval,” Aakesh announced the name of the whale decided by him and Lily.
“Do you like it?” Lily asked, looking expectantly at the whale.
The whale couldn’t speak any language other than its native language, but since Aakesh and Lily already knew the tongue, they had no problem communicating with the creature.
Hum!
The whale opened its mouth and responded, clearly liking the name.
The smile on Lily’s face turned even wider as she hugged the creature. Aakesh smiled upon seeing Lily’s excitement.
He then left Lily to play with Khaval, while he focused on a different issue.
“Hey, system, show me my system panel,” Aakesh requested the system.
The next moment, a dark blue, opaque screen appeared in front of Aakesh. Golden fonts then started appearing on it. In no time, a screen containing all his details stood in front of him.

Aakesh took a quick glance at his details and looked at the last section for the pets. As expected, the number of pets had grown from 1 to 2.
Aakesh then tapped on the section, and soon after, two new screens, containing the details of Lily and Khavar, respectively, appeared one after another.

Aakesh took a quick glance at Lily’s status and then focused on the screen for Khaval.

Aakesh nodded upon reading the details on the screen. As he had expected, Khaval’s cultivation had been suppressed to early Divine Transformation since allowing him to retain his original cultivation would damn the Sacred Dimension.

Since the creature’s status was similar to what Aakesh expected, he nodded in appreciation and waved his hands.
The next moment, the three blue screens disappeared one after another, starting with Khaval. Aakesh then returned his focus to the two members playing in the store.
Aakesh couldn’t help but have a wide smile when he saw Khaval running away while Lily was chasing him.
Aakesh didn’t disturb them and let them play since it had been a long time since he had seen Lily in such a vibrant mood.
Time flew by, and hours passed in a flash.
The two children finally grew tired after playing, so they found Aakesh and jumped on him. Lily, as usual, took his head, and when Khaval tried to follow Lily, she slapped him away.
Aakesh didn’t try to take a side in their fight and let the two children handle the situation.
Khaval was a Chaos Whale, and the element of chaos had a certain influence on the member’s characteristics. Their behavior was random.
Khaval didn’t like Lily not letting him go to Aakesh’s head, so first he complained to Aakesh about her.
When he saw Aakesh staying away from the fight, Khaval suddenly attacked Lily.
Aakesh finally had to intervene since Lily was stronger, and if there was a fight, Khaval would be the one to get injured.
“You can sit here with me,” Lily suddenly commented, allowing Khaval to sit there.
Aakesh sensed a bad ploy from Lily, so he tried to stop Khaval, but sensing his victory, Khaval jumped on Aakesh’s head and then his bun.
“No fighting!” Aakesh decided to let the two do whatever they wanted and closed his eyes, beginning his meditation after warning the two.
As Aakesh has suspected, Lily had no good intentions when she allowed Khaval to sit with her. She was the eldest of the two, so how could she let Khaval get away with trying to attack her?
But she also didn’t want to hurt Khaval since he was her younger brother and was only new here, so instead of trying something bad, she hugged Khaval after struggling with what to do.
Khaval reciprocated the hug with his fins, and they closed their eyes.
Time flew by, and the sun was about to rise on Thorr and its nearby cities.
[Host, the sun is about to rise!]
The system informed Aakesh in its usual mechanical, emotionless voice.
Aakesh opened his eyes, and a gentle smile spread across his face when he sensed what was going on at the top of his bun.
The duo had tightly hugged each other while they were sleeping.
Since Khaval was a newborn, he needed sleep, so Aakesh didn’t disturb the two and let them be.

“How did he do it?” Vritrasura exclaimed in surprise as he suddenly felt an intense pulse passing through his body.
The pulse passing through his body could only mean one thing, the egg he had given to Aakesh had hatched.
Vritrasura tried to peer through the dimensional ceiling and look at the store, but suddenly a terrible feeling engulfed his heart. Vritrasura trembled and stopped.
There were only Devas that could cause such palpitations in his heart, so he understood the warning and didn’t dare look at the store and Aakesh.
“Let’s hope all your efforts won’t backfire,” Vritrasura commented, looking upward.
There was no reaction to what he said, so he scoffed and closed his eyes, returning to energy cultivation. There was no end to cultivation for someone with his physique.

The sun rose on Thorr and its nearby cities, forcing the darkness to recede while a cover of light shrouded the city.
Inside the store, Aakesh was going to open the door when he sensed movement from above. Khaval was still sleeping but Lily had woken up.
Lily’s chaotic nature couldn’t allow her to let Khaval sleep this peacefully, so she poked one of the two blowholes on top of his head.
The two blowholes were sensitive areas for the Chaos Whales, so Khaval immediately opened his eyes.
Hum!
When he saw it was Lily, he angrily hummed, complaining to Aakesh.
Aakesh could only smile helplessly at Lily’s antics. He then grabbed both of them and brought them down to his hands.
Lily was on his right hand, while Khaval was on his left hand since their size was even smaller than his palm.
