The First Store System

1094 Kaunis!

Chapter 1094: Kaunis!

After learning about the store cards, Jerine decided to buy the Supreme Store Card since being the son of the ruler came with a lot of privileges.

After the binding was complete, Jerine added his wealth to the infinite storage inside the card, and soon the payment of 1425 lesser Sacred stones was made.

“Thank you, store owner,” Jerine thanked Aakesh, and he then proceeded toward the portal room.

When Jerine entered the room, he couldn’t help but take a deep breath when he saw the river of virtual portals. The space inside the room was larger than the hall.

Jerine found the virtual portal that still had stars lit up and then touched it. The next moment, a suction force stronger than anything he could confront appeared and sucked him inside.

The next moment, light returned to Jerine’s eyes as he found himself in unfamiliar surroundings. Before Jerine could look around, he found that his strength had dropped to an exaggerated level.

He didn’t worry about it since the store owner had already told him about it and the first quest.

Having calmed down after losing so much strength, he decided to look around. But then again, a creature more beautiful than anything he had ever seen appeared behind him and took him somewhere else.

Time flew by, and after the introduction of the lore of Panagea was over, Jerine returned to where he had spawned after entering Panagea.

Jerine stood there shell-shocked as she savored what he saw and learned moments earlier. He noticed that the shock factor wasn’t as high as it should be since the war he saw was more brutal than anything he had seen or read about. People of his cultivation weren’t even strong enough to be considered cannon fodder in the war.

Jerine noticed that abnormality, but he could do nothing. Soon after, Jerine stopped thinking about the war and only focused on the Emperor’s inheritances.

Jerine’s breathing became rough as the being approaching him was a race Jerine had never seen or heard about, but for some reason, he was getting attracted to the person.

Jerine suddenly bit his tongue to calm himself down as his wife’s image flashed past in his head.

The female approaching Jerine stopped and raised her eyes in surprise when she saw the adventurer breaking her charm. The next moment, an appreciative smile spread across her face, and she soon reached him.

The female belonged to the race Kaunis, which was now extinct in the real world. When they existed, the Kaunis was a beautiful race composed entirely of women. Kaunis females could procreate on their own, so they were also a closed race.

It was the reason behind Jerine’s not knowing about them, even though they were once the most beautiful race in the Sacred Dimension.

What made the Kaunis extinct was Lyraial, which was only known to very few people across the dimension.

“Adventurer, welcome to Lumisade!” Kaisa welcomed Jerine.

Kaisa was the daughter of Ilona, the city head of Lumisade. The rumors of adventures had been growing every year in Panagea, so as soon as the alert of an adventurer appearing in nearby areas appeared, Kaisa decided to welcome them personally.

Jerine’s breaking her charm improved his image in Kaisa’s eyes, so her tone contained appreciation for Jerine.

“Hello, I am Jerine, the son of…” Jerine responded with his usual way of introduction.

While Jerine was waiting for his first quest to activate, the store welcomed a new customer.

“Hello, store owner,” Helma greeted Aakesh.

Aakesh nodded in response to the greeting and looked at her, waiting for the question.

***

A few days ago,

“What are you even talking about?” Helma roared in rage.

“Why are you angry at me? I didn’t betray you, your son did,” The man standing in front of Helma replied, raising his hands in the air as if surrendering.

Helma belonged to the race Hostic, a mid-tier race belonging to the Demon group and living in the same galaxy as the planet Curiel.

They had humanoid physiques, but they stood at ten feet. Their shoulders were broader than those of many Demon races, irrespective of the gender of the members.

The Hostics had dark, rough skin with slight bumps at fixed positions. They had one pair of hands and legs, and they had two pairs of eyes. The upper pair was a combination of white and black, while the lower pair was a combination of black and red. They also had a pair of small, curved horns situated right below their forehead.

Hostics lived on planet Dornia, which was one level above Curiel.

The highest cultivation level on Curiel was peak Lesser God, belonging to the Emperor of the Fortis Empire. In Dornia, the highest cultivation was the peak Higher God, and it was Helma, the matriarch of the Hostics.

Hostics were a matriarchal society, and they lived like a clan. But since they had the highest level of cultivators, the Hostics were the overlords of Dornia.

As the Hostics were a matriarchal society, only females could take the clan head position. Helma’s son, Gerain, was the eldest of twenty-seven children, and he was also the one with the best talent and highest cultivation level.

Considering these factors, Geraim wanted to become the next ruler of Hostics, but unfortunately, it wasn’t possible due to the nature of the majority of the clan members.

Since things were like this and Gerain didn’t want to give up on the top seat, he took a drastic measure, taking the help of Pangad, the second-strongest race in Dornia.

The man currently standing in front of Helma was none other than the crown prince of the Pangad Empire.

Gerain joining the Pangads was better for them as his actions could help them change the power structure of Dornia. Unfortunately for Gerain, he wouldn’t have even thought in his dreams that Vusca, the crown prince of the Pangad Empire, was a lover of his mother.

And Vusca was even willing to betray his race for his love, terming all plans of Gerain futile.

“Now, how are you going to pay me for the piece of information I brought you?” Vusca asked, staring at Helma with his lust-filled eyes.
