The First Store System

1004 New Day for the Store(1)

Chapter 1004: New Day for the Store(1)

Aakesh was meditating when the system’s emotionless, mechanical voice rang in his head, informing him about the approaching sunrise.

Aakesh opened his eyes and stood up from the mat. Since Aakesh’s absorption rate had only seen improvement yesterday, he didn’t look to his left like usual today.

Time flew by, and Aakesh stepped down the stairs to the store’s hall.

The sun was only a few seconds away from rising, as its silhouette had presented itself to the world. As it rose, the cover of the darkness around Thorr and nearby cities began to disappear slowly, and people welcomed light into their lives, starting another day.

At the same time, the mysterious store with a notoriously rumored store owner opened the store’s door and welcomed the new day.

Aakesh was greeted by the sight of a small crowd of people outside the store. He didn’t let them wait for long and returned to his chair while the people in the crowd followed inside like a raging tide.

There were forty-eight virtual portals currently available in the store, and since there were forty-nine people in the crowd, barring one, everyone else was covered in golden light after stepping inside the store.

Derrick couldn’t help but look at the scene in front of him with surprise and disappointment since he was the only one not able to enter Panagea in the first group. It was his first time coming here this early, and even then, he would have to wait six hours to enter. At the same time, he couldn’t leave the store anymore, as leaving here would mean he would have to join the queue again.

Derrick took a deep breath and went to the waiting corner while the others in the group went toward Panagea. The card ownership here wasn’t as high as in the Primal Dimension, so almost all the customers came to him and left for Panagea after paying thirty-five lesser Sacred stones.

After everyone left, only Aakesh and Derrick were left alone in the store. Derrick was a new customer to the store since it had only been a few days since he came here.

Derrick was a Corron, one of the Vurron species, and he had a good friendship with Ashley, so he came to know about it. Derrick felt pride for having someone as loyal as Ashley, but he later found out that Ashley did it because of her father, Asher, the head of Corrons.

After finding the advancement the store could bring in the lives of the customers, Alfred and Asher decided to make the best talents of the Vurrons aware of the store. Derrick was one such, so Asher told his daughter to inform him.

Derrick was someone who easily got bored, so it hadn’t been long before Derrick came to Aakesh and paid for the difficult level training area for Higher grade weapons.

Derrick was a mace user, so he found the pillar and committed the process required to enter. The next moment, a golden light covered his body and his eyes turned blank after his consciousness left his body and entered the unlimited space inside the training area.

In the difficult level training area, the time flow inside the space was the same as the store, and also not many races were available for selection.

After entering, a window asking Derrick to choose his opponent appeared in front of him. Even though there weren’t top races of the Sacred Dimension in the list, there were still countless races.

Since Derrick didn’t want to waste all of his time in selecting opponents, he chose the Vurrons as his opponent and Corrons in Vurrons. As for the environment, he chose it to be an open grassland where the wind blows slightly.

The next moment, Derrick appeared in the vast grassland, with his opponent standing not far from him. Similar to him, the opponent had a mace with a similar appearance to his.

The training area didn’t waste time, so soon after, the battle began. Both Derrick and the opponent charged at each other.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Loud metal clashing sounds continuously rang in the area as the maces clashed with each other. The opponent seemed to be the superior of the two as its mace came with more strength and was also quicker, but the difference wasn’t that exaggerated to defeat Derrick only in a few clashes.

Derrick had bought the training area for six hours, so he battled the opponent without worrying about time.

Even though the difference between the strength wasn’t exaggerated, there was still some, so as time flew by, it began to show in the battle. Earlier, Derrick was only getting pushed back by a few inches, but as Derrick began to grow exhausted, his strength decreased, pushing him further back.

Since it was a vast open grassland, there was no wall that could signify a dead end.

BOOM!

A loud noise rang in the area after the opponent’s mace connected with Derrick’s head. The next moment, it exploded like a watermelon while his headless body crashed to the ground.

***

While Derrick was fighting in the training area, Aakesh welcomed an unfamiliar face to the store.

Since there was no one in sight, Aakesh had closed his eyes to relax, but around two minutes after Derrick left for training, he heard the sound of footsteps coming from the outside.

When Aakesh opened his eyes, he found it to be an unfamiliar face and a non-demon at that.

Like other customers, its eyes also fell on the ground and raised its eyes in surprise when it recognized the stone. It couldn’t help but lean down and knock on it, using its fingers.

After finding it to be authentic, it raised its head and looked at Aakesh in shock.

“Is all of it real?” The next moment, a voice rang in Aakesh’s head. The language used was the same as Thorron’s native tongue. Either the creature learned it after living here or learned it after reading through someone’s memories.

Aakesh nodded, and its eyes grew wide open in shock.
