The First Legendary Beast Master

Chapter 2055: The Small Changes

  • Next Chapter

With the entire process taking place inside the Tiny World, the surrounding area was insulated to the effects of Karl’s aura, and the changes that were happening.

What they were not insulated from was the unexpected backlash of Dana’s skills becoming available to Karl. Most of them had minimal effects, given how strong Karl already was.

But there were a few that made a difference.

Karl had never been able to learn [Armoured Constructs] in the past, he simply wasn’t compatible with it. He could use [Durable Constructs], as Rae had learned it, but not the better version that gave them all better armour.

But more importantly, [Crushing Constructs], the Golem Mistress skill that let you apply one spell to your [Golem] type summoned creatures was now available to him.

For a whole five seconds, Karl resisted the urge to use the skill, a testament to both his willpower, and the fact that everyone else was distracted by Dana. But then he caved and just had to see what happened if he applied [Chaos Vortex], his own class skill, to his Epic Golems.

The pair of Oathbreakers appeared, and began to laugh as the spell settled over them.

[Chaos Vortex] creates a five-dimensional rift, dealing {Chaos} damage to all affected targets. Chaos Damage affects the target’s weakest resistance. Chance to apply {Time Lock} paralyzing targets that are not immune to time Element skills.

Twenty tiny versions of the spell appeared at the tips of their claws as the two demons did a happy dance, then dismissed the spell, as they could tell that Karl didn’t bring them here to fight.

However, they were in the Tiny World’s Guild House, surrounded by bunnies and Lotus.

You could not just start dancing without setting off a chain reaction.

If there was one thing that the Darklight Host could be said to be truly good at, it was throwing a party. They would party for any reason at all, and they were always ready. So, the moment that the four-armed obsession demons started dancing, it was taken as a signal that the celebration had started, and cheering spread through the crowd, while some rushed off to begin preparing the food.

All parties must have food.

And so, the mood in the room shifted from "Tease The Dana Mage" to "Party for the Dana Mage", and that was that.

By morning, the party was still going, and Karl slipped away to get some crafting done before the shop restocked in the morning. Nobody else was going to do it, they were all still at the party, and the Lycans were largely nocturnal, so they wouldn’t be done partying for another four or five hours.

Which meant that Dana would be busy for at least that long.

But he wasn’t alone. Remi snuck away from the party with him, so she could also get some work done, to keep up her quota of potions for the orders on the new products. That was important, since she was working with others, who would notice if she started to fall behind on her work.

Not many of the apprentices under her could make it yet, but she was working on improving that number.

If she could find a skill that the Dana Mage had, she might be able to do something to improve her creation rate, but the only one she could think of was [Crushing Constructs], which would only work in combat, and couldn’t be used like the Guild Skill to spread knowledge.

But having the skill, and having the actual skills were two different things. Some of the apprentices just lacked the attention to detail and fine mana control needed for the more delicate potions.

Without that, they were little more than book smart.

Not that they weren’t working on improving, they just weren’t at the level that Remi needed them to be yet. And when you had promised to make a lot of something new, that was a problem.

Elder Socrate and Andrea were both making the pills, while Remi was on the potions.

Fortunately, Karl had brought her the perfect helpers.

Oathbreaker was still active, and he was much larger than the Dark Elven Priestesses that she usually asked to help with her work. The constructs were strong enough to stir an entire pot of nearly anything, and the Elves were smart enough to know what they needed to do to keep the potions stable.

Other than them, Oathbreaker was nearly the only Epic Golem that had the talent.

"You know, there’s someone better than me if you need help with Alchemy," Oathbreaker informed her cautiously.

"Oh?"

Remi’s eagerness bypassed all attempts to sound casual, and the obsession demon giggled. A noise that definitely didn’t suit his appearance.

"The Plague Lord.

He might spend all day making toxins, but he’s got his own form of Divine Alchemy already, so if you need someone that can help you make potions, he’s the one. He can even create a massive cauldron, and have those little plague demon friends of his help with the prep work."

Remi frowned.

That guy smelled worse than stagnant swamp water, but Oathbreaker had a point.

"Fine, I’ll let you go, and call him over."

She wasn’t entirely sold on the concept, but she was willing to try if the demon could help her out.

Karl dismissed Oathbreaker with a wave goodbye, and called the Plague Lord, taking advantage of Dana’s skills to call four of the massive demons to the workspace they were in.

The ten metre in any direction massive demon looked around, a soft wet sound filling the air as his chins slid across his slime covered chest.

"Oh? I didn’t expect to be summoned by anyone? Did you need someone to die in a particularly unpleasant way?" He asked, his voice phlegmatic, as if he was suffering from pneumonia.

"No, we need you to help with a {Spirit Enhancement Potion} that will help improve Immortal Spirit strength. This is the recipe, with basic instructions, I can help guide you through the small details," Remi explained.

"A potion that isn’t poison? Oh, this will be so much fun. Let met get out the good cauldron."
