The First Legendary Beast Master

Chapter 1592 Quick Rest

Chapter 1592 Quick Rest

Outside the Dungeon, the duel champions frowned as the dungeon entrance changed colours.

“What is going on in there? Nobody is out yet, and now it’s changing. Do you think that it’s a special trial instance this time?” One of the men asked.

“It might be. I got a message from our Sect’s team, though. They say that it’s just a super long Dungeon. There are thousands of pulls, and it’s going to take nearly six hours to fully clear it.

They just finished with the third boss, but there is a Plague Demon and an Oath Breaker left.

They left those for last, since they’re likely to be the worst, and they wanted all the loot they could get.”

The berserker nodded. “Our team did the same. They went counterclockwise through the bosses so that they could get the easy ones out of the way first. They don’t think that they’re going to get a full clear.

The dungeon is bumping up the strength of the dungeon with every boss that they kill.”

The other Ascended Immortals were getting excited.

Higher difficulty meant better rewards. And if the dungeon was adapting to push their limits, that meant that the loot was going to be spectacular if they could get the full clear.

Nobody wanted to leave a dungeon half finished, but these sorts of altered challenges were usually designed by the Gods to push you past your limits.

If you didn’t have a breakthrough in the dungeon, it really might be impossible to complete them.

Inside the dungeon, Karl placed a [Mana Pylon] to help the team recover as they ate, and Hawk flew overhead as he snacked, making a mental map of what he wanted to pull to them next, and the good spots that they could set up to fight.

Fighting at the entrance wasn’t bad. But there was a big open area that he had pulled all the monsters from, and it was much closer to the other enemies.

It would also give them more room to fight the next boss, which was one of the purple, fast ones.

Obsession Demons, The Karl called them.

“Wait, you had the ability to do this the whole time, and you let us suffer?” Min asked as she basked in the power of the Mana Pylon.

“You needed more mana regeneration? You should have said something. I wasn’t using large-scale skills, so I didn’t need it. I will put it up for the next fights, though.

Once we’re fed, we need to get right back to the fight.

The faster that we finish, the better the odds that we get a special reward at the end.” Karl reminded them.

“You still think that it’s a timed event?” Min asked.

“Almost everything related to the System has a reward attached to it if you set a new record.

If nobody else tries to race through the dungeons here, then there is a good chance that we can actually set a record for this one. In fact, we might catch up to some of the other teams, if they’re doing it the conventional way, one pull at a time.

Or if they have an imbalanced team, and can’t keep up with the strongest on the team.”

The Lycans laughed. “Isn’t that the case for our group, though. The area damage going on in here is crazy, and the combination of Chaos Vortex and Soul Steal is stronger than anything that most of us have.

But you use it as a constant effect.

“Oh, that’s a good idea. Karl, use Warbeast on the Lycans. They’re fluffy, it should work.” Opal suggested.

The Lycans weren’t sure if they should be insulted at being called fluffy.

But when Karl cast [Warbeast] on them, and they transformed into much larger Lupin bipeds with magic imbued claws, and their weapons hidden by the transformation, they had to admit that some skills were just too good to pass

up.

Even if they were extra fluffy now.

[Come to this spot. It’s a good one to pull monsters from multiple directions. I will be sure to warn you before we pull all the ones from before the third boss.] Hawk declared.

Karl recalled the Mana Pylon and led the group to the new spot as Hawk began the pull.

Tian was playing a happy tune as they walked, and singing in a wordless fox yowl.

It was adorable.

But it was also a buff, Karl noticed. Motivation was a hard factor to quantify, but everyone was extra ready to fight when the Golems were in place and Hawk began to lead the pulled groups into place.

“Showtime. Hawk, Remi, you know the drill. Get the area effects going. Opal, you can expand your Illusionary Domain this time.”

Opal continued with the Naga theme, as it helped disguise the swamp.

But she had other options. Instead of only giving the place Naga, which were strong, she factored in the species of the demons and added in Scarab Beetles to tear little pieces off the small plague demons, and anything else that was

coming for them.

Individually, they weren’t much. But the pain would distract the enemies, and reduce the damage that the group was taking.

Fighting nothing but bosses made things hard on her illusions.

Just keeping the Illusionary Domain active was difficult at some points. When the demons used a large area effect, it would try to shatter the spell. [Reality Warp] was good, but when they were even destroying Dana’s Golems through their [Auto Parry], there wasn’t much a little butterfly could do but

keep repairing her work.

The pains of being an artist.

Hawk pulled another three groups to keep the numbers up at the fight. These ones were dying so much faster than the wrath Demons had.

They did a lot of damage, but they were kind of squishy, and with twenty people plus the Golems and undead, they dropped pretty quickly.

The Mana Pylon was the real MVP, everyone could fight full force now.
