The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard
Chapter 2861: Could This Guy Be from the Demon Race?
Talking about this, everyone was quite curious.
"Indeed, what identity requires such secrecy, wearing a hood all day? Carson, didn’t you say you caught a black-robed man before who took on another’s identity, only for him to choose self-destruction rather than reveal his identity..."
Grayan furrowed his brows: "Even if they are cultivators from other Immortal Domains wanting to develop in the Bitter Sea Immortal Domain, even if it means territory seizure, it’s still a justifiable thing, right? Forces in the Immortal Realm compete for territories, large forces take large domains, small forces occupy small spaces. Isn’t that normal? So why would he be afraid?"
Kaelithra replied casually: "Yeah, it’s strange. They are not the Demon Race, yet they’re wary of exposing their identity for fear of making enemies of any cultivator..."
Before Kaelithra finished speaking, she suddenly saw Jorren and Grayan turn their heads, staring directly at her.
Kaelithra stuttered: "Elders, why are you looking at me like that? Did I say something wrong?"
Jorren ignored Kaelithra, turned to Grayan with a grave expression: "We’ve all fought them. Did you find anything strange when they practiced their cultivation? A faint red glow, a peculiar aura emanating from them..."
Grayan’s expression was equally serious: "I hadn’t noticed until you mentioned it. Now reflecting back, indeed, I thought it was a Fire Path Divine Ability, but later I never observed him use any Fire Attribute Divine Ability. The red glow emitted an aura of rage, brutality, and destruction... Old Jorren, could this black-robed man truly be from the Demon Race?"
Carson’s eyes widened: "Isn’t the Immortal Demon Passage located in the Crimson Immortal Domain? If Demons truly invaded the Immortal Realm, the War God Mansion in the Crimson Immortal Domain would surely alert everyone, right? Let the Demons invade, ignoring it, that’s impossible!"
Jorren clenched his fists tightly, lightly knocking as he quickly organized his thoughts: "Under normal circumstances, Demons wanting to come to the Immortal Realm indeed need to pass through the Immortal Demon Realm, but special situations could exist. Crossing void realms, like what True Sage Grand Void often does..."
"If special conditions are met, there’s a possibility they didn’t come from the Immortal Demon Realm in Crimson Immortal Domain, but directly reached Bitter Sea Immortal Domain via some space transmission, could be pinpoint accurate or random."
"Their task after reaching Bitter Sea Immortal Domain is to set up a large-scale transmission array for their kin to arrive here..."
Grayan’s voice turned grave: "If true, then the matter is significant. Once they establish a stronghold here, Demon Race experts will keep teleporting over."
"The Immortal Realm’s defenses are focused on preventing Demon invasions in the Crimson Immortal Domain, yet their army quietly appears in Bitter Sea Immortal Domain. Once they accrue strength, with a thunderous strike, seize Bitter Sea Immortal Domain, block the Domain Gate, turning Bitter Sea Immortal Domain into Demon Realm territory."
"Bitter Sea Immortal Domain serves as a spearhead for Demon attacks on the Immortal Realm, allowing their army to keep advancing. By the time the Immortal Realm reacts and gathers forces, it may already be too late, leading to Demons occupying the realm, expanding territories, battle flames engulfing the entire Immortal Realm, all battlefields turned to scorched earth, and all humans turned into their slaves!"
Everyone exchanged glances, startled by their own conjecture.
Kaelithra stuttered: "Could it truly be Demons? Such an uncanny situation and we stumbled upon it?"
Jorren took a deep breath, his gaze fell on Carson’s face, laughing: "If not, then it’s a minor thing. If truly Demons, then it’s a major event in Bitter Sea Immortal Domain or even the entire Immortal Realm."
"And you, Carson, even though you accidentally stumbled upon them, you disrupted their altar construction, destroyed their array core, preventing their transmission plan, you’ve done a great service for Bitter Sea Immortal Domain and the entire Immortal Realm!"
Carson blinked, looking peculiar.
No way?
Could it really be Demons?
If so, I’ve indeed made tremendous contributions; my inadvertent actions saved countless lives, potentially saved Bitter Sea Immortal Domain itself!
After the transmission array is complete, those arriving would certainly be top Demon experts, then trying to eliminate them would be quite difficult.
Carson stroked his chin: "Let’s hope Fellow Ward can bring back some good news for us!"
Jorren asked worriedly: "That black-robed man is powerful, Fellow Ward’s strength, can he suppress him?"
Kaelithra confidently replied: "My elder brother is easygoing, dislikes competitiveness, loves reading, yet his strength is formidable, definitely capable of winning. But being able to capture the opponent, that’s hard to say."
Everyone nodded in agreement, after all, he’s a Quasi-Saint!
If a Quasi-Saint could be easily killed, that would insult the term "Saint."
To kill a Quasi-Saint, perhaps only an Immortal Emperor at a Saint level can have assurance; as for battles between Quasi-Saints, who doesn’t have some special skills, it’s basically impossible to kill the opponent.
Previously, Snow hasn’t even fully reached the Quasi-Saint Realm, battling Master of Path with two Quasi-Saints; if she hadn’t been dead-set on killing Master of Path, even risking her life, directly escaping, the two Quasi-Saints might have been unable to injure Snow so severely.
"Now what do we do?"
"Battles between Quasi-Saints don’t end easily; even if pursuing, ten days or half a month without resolution is entirely possible, so let’s go to Mysterious Void Sect nearby, shall we?"
Kaelithra nodded: "I think it’s a good idea; I’m here to celebrate Whitmore Sect Master’s birthday anyway. If this black-robed man is a Demon, then we’ll see, otherwise, we’ll continue with our duties..."
Jorren laughed: "Then let’s go to Mysterious Void Sect, borrow their formation to pass some messages; I’m afraid both our sects might be in chaos now."
Grayan nodded: "Alright!"
Carson turned to look at Snow, yet to speak, Snow smiled gracefully: "I don’t like socializing; moreover, my injuries haven’t healed completely, I’ll continue my comprehension!"
Carson nodded, not forcing, once again storing Snow into Palace of Seven Beauties, and with the other three headed to Mysterious Void Sect.
"Carson, earlier I saw you using an Ancient Tower to block the black-robed man’s attack, what magical treasure is that, with such strong defense?"
Ethereal Pagoda’s performance was excellent and impressive, attracting the attention of Jorren and Grayan, two Master Refiners, which was normal. Carson smiled slightly: "Gained by chance, later found its defense good, thus refined it into my Life-bound Magic Treasure. The tower’s attack power isn’t great, but its defense is strong, saved my life many times..."
