The Extreme Alchemist of the Mighty Cauldron

Chapter 1633: 1730: Sword Box

Chapter 1633: Chapter 1730: Sword Box

In the depths of the firmament, far beyond the reach of ordinary human sight, a battle of unparalleled magnitude was unfolding.

Even on the ground, many people who had activated their Spirit Eye still could not clearly discern the fierce clash in the heavens. Only those who had opened the Heavenly Eye could see it somewhat distinctly.

This was a battle beyond the imagination of ordinary martial artists — one side being the universally acknowledged number one in the Nine Countries, the East Pole Heaven King, and the other, the unfathomable Pavilion Master of the Sealing Sword Pavilion.

Both were figures of great renown, their powers far exceeding the comprehension of common martial artists. In the eyes of the ordinary, whether it was the East Pole Heaven King or the Pavilion Master of the Sealing Sword Pavilion, both were akin to divine beings of unimaginable strength.

Behind the Pavilion Master of the Sealing Sword Pavilion, the Sword Box had already unleashed three longswords, including the serpent-shaped longsword. The other two were equally extraordinary. Although not ranked among the legendary swords, they were in no way inferior to those that were listed.

The Legendary Sword List was, of course, the authoritative ranking of the world’s most renowned swords. However, the world held an untold number of exceptional swords, with countless legendary blades passed down through the ages, some celebrated and others unknown.

Within the Sealing Sword Pavilion, the legendary swords on the list were only a fraction of the treasures housed there. Many more formidable, unrecorded weapons were hidden away.

The Sword Box carried by the Pavilion Master of the Sealing Sword Pavilion contained several of these unrecorded legendary swords, and he himself seemed to have little fondness for using the swords on the list.

The three legendary swords darted ceaselessly across the heavens. Amid the agile movements of the East Pole Heaven King, none of the swords could get close to him, yet they forced him into a defensive position, making him dodge and evade.

A young man stood upon an ordinary flying sword, watching the contest between the East Pole Heaven King and the three legendary swords, a casual and carefree smile on his face.

The East Pole Heaven King, seeing the other party so at ease, felt a flicker of anger within. He thought the Pavilion Master of the Sealing Sword Pavilion was underestimating him too much.

At that moment, the East Pole Heaven King extended his right hand, joining two fingers in the shape of a sword.

Clang!

With a single strike, the East Pole Heaven King’s fingers collided with one of the legendary swords. Instantly, the entire purple sword seemed to take a heavy blow and plummeted downward, its radiant glow dimmed.

Without hesitation, the East Pole Heaven King shifted his form, swiftly catching up to another sword. With a flick of his fingers, he clasped the sword between his fingertips. No matter how it struggled, it couldn’t break free from his grip.

The last sword was then crushed under the foot of the East Pole Heaven King, a tremendous aura descending like a landslide.

Crack!

This sword, made of exceptional material, was broken clean in half!

In just a few moments, the East Pole Heaven King had subdued all three legendary swords.

“Good! Let’s see how you handle a few more moves!” the young man laughed heartily, similarly forming a sword with his fingers, pointing seven times toward the East Pole Heaven King.

With each point, seven sword beams tore through the heavens, streaking toward the East Pole Heaven King like shooting stars chasing the moon.

Each sword beam carried as much power as a legendary sword being wielded directly.

Given the Pavilion Master of the Sealing Sword Pavilion’s strength, he was long past relying on whether or not he held a sharp blade in hand. Even empty-handed, he could manifest the power of legendary swords as if they were in his grasp.

Whether holding a legendary sword or not made no difference to the Pavilion Master of the Sealing Sword Pavilion.

The East Pole Heaven King, seeing seven streaks of Sword Qi approaching, neither evaded nor retreated. He flipped the sword he had caught into a reverse grip and, wielding it, fended off all seven strikes of Sword Qi.

When the seventh Sword Qi was blocked, the sword in the East Pole Heaven King’s hand was already riddled with cracks, clearly on the verge of breaking.

Unceremoniously, the East Pole Heaven King discarded the sword. Though it was a fine legendary blade, it was rendered useless after absorbing the Pavilion Master’s seven Sword Qi strikes.

“If I remember correctly, there should be eight swords in your Sword Box. Why have you only used three? Are you looking down on me?” the East Pole Heaven King demanded in a low voice, fixing his gaze on the young man.

The young man chuckled, “You’re not mistaken. There were indeed eight swords in this Sword Box originally.”

The East Pole Heaven King frowned, “Originally? Does that mean not anymore?”

The young man nodded, “There’s one more now. I’ve grown quite fond of it.”

Hearing this, the East Pole Heaven King’s heart skipped a beat, his vigilance toward the other deepening further.

Having crossed swords with the Pavilion Master of the Sealing Sword Pavilion in the past, the East Pole Heaven King knew there were eight legendary swords in the Sword Box. Back then, despite forcing out seven swords in combat, he had never seen the eighth.

Now, however, the East Pole Heaven King was a far stronger warrior than before, yet the Pavilion Master’s Sword Box now held nine swords in total.

The East Pole Heaven King silently pondered: if he gave his all, could he force the Pavilion Master to wield all nine swords?

The young man seemed to read the East Pole Heaven King’s thoughts, flashing a grin as he said, “If you wish to see my last two swords, East Pole, you’ll have to muster every ounce of your strength.”

“You’re still underestimating me,” the East Pole Heaven King replied. As he spoke, a vertical eye appeared suddenly at his brow.

This was not a Heavenly Eye, but an iris as black as ink, like an infinite abyss, capable of drawing anyone who glanced into it into the depths, lost beyond return.

The young man finally showed a flicker of surprise, “That’s a move you didn’t have back then.”

The East Pole Heaven King gave no response. The ink-black vertical eye in his brow fixated on the young man.

In an instant, the young man felt as though he had plummeted into an abyss. All his internal strength dissipated quickly; his senses darkened, his sight and hearing robbed from him.

Seizing this opportunity, the East Pole Heaven King delivered a ferocious palm strike to the young man’s forehead, sending him flying backward as blood trickled down his face.

This astonishing scene prompted exclamations from several observers below who possessed the Heavenly Eye. Could it be that the East Pole Heaven King was about to defeat the Pavilion Master?

Many silently cheered for the East Pole Heaven King. After all, the sudden reemergence of the enigmatic and powerful Sealing Sword Pavilion had cast a shadow of unease over all Nine Countries. If the East Pole Heaven King could triumph over the Pavilion Master, it would prove that the Sealing Sword Pavilion was not as formidable as feared.

At that moment, the East Pole Heaven King’s expression suddenly shifted, his gaze lowering to see Fang Lin captured by eight Great Longevity Masters.

“No!” the East Pole Heaven King inwardly exclaimed, directing a finger below to intervene and rescue Fang Lin from danger.

“Focusing elsewhere while fighting me? That might not end well for you,” the young man’s voice rang out again. A streak of Sword Qi intercepted the East Pole Heaven King’s strike, offsetting it.

“What exactly are you planning? Xu Yanbing wasn’t enough for you? Now you want to take Fang Lin too?” the East Pole Heaven King bellowed in fury.

The young man casually wiped the blood from his forehead, still smiling, “Nothing much. We simply want to refine a certain kind of pill that doesn’t yet exist.”
