Chapter 168:This Daddy ls NotAfraid of You
Lucas after returning back from the swords club took out the scripture and assimilated the knowledge in it.
He was already used to the headache that came from an influx of sudden knowledge and only felt a tingling sensation in his head and the pain subsided as soon as the images were printed in his mind.
After getting all the details, Lucas’s face became solemn.
The scripture was not as simple as it looked.
Heightening your sense to such a degree that the user can block incoming attacks coming towards him from anywhere wasn’t a joke.
It relies on your senses rather than your eyesight which means one can even use it even though he is blind or lost his eyesight for some reason.
It will be a great asset while fighting those who she cheap tricks to bling eyesight.
Though, he was also one of them who used his ring to blind his opponent.
Lucas’s perception though was quite good but it’s not up to a level where he can use it. Moreover, one needs to have a high level of flexibility for this but Lucas was not sure whether his flexibility was enough or not.
Flexibility and reflexes, that was the main ingredient of this dish whereas moves are just spices on the top.
Lucas entered the training room and taking his sword, stood still as described in the technique and took a deep breath to relax himself.
Taking his stance, he tried to feel his atmosphere, his surrounding but alas, he felt nothing.
After staying still and concentrating to his max, he couldn’t get a gist of it.
“What the hell! Just closing my eyes is cutting off everything from my senses and the silence of my own room is giving me a dreary feeling.”
“I think this is over my level. I think I need someone’s help to me do this.”Lucas spoke with a sigh.
…
In the Stadium.
The crowd were cheering at the top of their lungs to support their favourite participants.
While the crowd were excited and full of anticipation in each match.
Two individuals stop at the ring who were about to face other.
One of the individuals had a sullen and rotten expression.
He was cursing his luck and all the staff members up to their ancestry generations.
The unlucky one was none other than Parth.
His gaze became hollow and lifeless as he looked at the guy who held his spear and had a large grin on his face.
Seeing his grin, Parth wanted to rush and beat the shit out of him but he knew he can’t, not because someone is stopping him from doing it rather he knew he was powerless in front of him.
Parth looked at the guy and spoke” Fredrick can’t you let this match slide and go easy on me.”
Fredrick smirked as his lips curled upwards”No, never. It’s not gonna happen.”
“You have to beat me to advance to the next round Parth. No shortcut, no easy way.”
“Shit.” Parth cursed and shouted”Do you think I am afraid of you? This daddy can beat the shit out of you. It’s because of our friendship, I don’t want to injure and you badly.”
“My poor heart can’t hit a friend and injure him, making him hospitalised. Do you understand your situation now?” Parth spoke with an expression as if he was pitying Fredrick.
“Ohhh!Noooooo! What rotten luck” Fredrick shouted in fear.
Seeing, Fredrick’s expression, Parth folded his hands and nodded in satisfaction.
‘Yes, this how you one should behave before a behemoth like me.’
“I can’t believe I have to fight a monster like you so early,” Fredrick exclaimed trying to act surprised and fearful but his expression turned normal.
“Bullshit King, I am gonna beat you until you can’t stand up on your feet.” Fredrick grinned.
Cough…..Cough.
Both Fredrick and Parth looked at the side to see the referee coughing with an embarrassed look and said”Can you save your bickering for later so that we can start the match now.”
Fredrick and Parth nodded and were ashamed to start behaving like kids in front of this many people.
“Begin!”
As soon referee’s loud voice was heard, both Fredrick and Parth’s images blurred.
Novel CLANG!CLANG!CLANG!
The Voice of metal clashing was heard throughout the arena.
….
In the spectators stand.
Lucas leaned on the railing and looked at the match carefully.
Beside him was Charles who had a serious expression on their place.
Both of them were 99% sure about the outcome of the match and were excited to see both of them fighting but seeing them wasting their time in bickering, it looked as if it was a fight of verbal abuse rather than weapons.
Seeing Charles facepalming and sighing, Lucas spoke with a solemn expression”Charles, did you see that?”
“What!” Charles asked raising his brows.
“Fredrick had been infected by Parth bullshitting virus,” Lucas said.
Charles blinked unable to understand the context but pondering for a moment, he got the point Lucas was saying.
“The way things are, I think you are going to be next,” Lucas spoke.
Charles’s expression crumbled”What makes you think that. You are speaking as if you not going to be infected by Parth?”
Lucas shook his head and spoke, “I can’t get infected by the virus.”
“Because I think, I have been already infected by him.” Lucas smiled bitterly.
“You…” Charles didn’t have any words left to speak and tried to look around to cool down but he noticed that something was amiss.
“Hey, Lucas. Where is Roan?” Charles asked curiously.
“Oh, Roan! He is bullied…I mean he is training.” Lucas answered nonchalantly.
“Hey look at Parth,” Lucas shouted.
…..
In the first few encounter, Parth was being pushed back.
CLANG!
Parth used his dagger to deflect but Fredrick pulled his spear and thrust numerous times and each time his speed increased by a margin.
Finally, Parth was caught by surprise as Fredrick after pulling the spear back after from thrusting didn’t repeat the notion but instead spun it and waved it towards Parth’s ribs.
BANG!
Parth coughed a few times and found it difficult to breathe and cursed “This asshole.”
Fredrick stomped the ground and jumped towards Parth.
Fredrick held his spear, pulling back a little shot at Parth.
DUM!DUM!
Fredrick’s spear was shot like an arrow towards Parth and a loud blast thundered in the arena.
Dust and debris flew by Fredrick’s strike.
Fredrick walked towards the spear and as the dust cleared, he saw his spear was struck on the ground and a small crater was formed but there was no sign of Parth.
Fredrick was about to pull the spear when a sharp dagger tearing the air aimed at him was shot.
Fredrick subconsciously raised his spear and blocked it.
TANG!
The dagger flicked back but a shadow appeared and disappeared holding a dagger.
Fredrick was alerted, as Parth was finally getting serious and using his bloodline ability and melting into shadows to attack him.
Parth’s bloodline was quite troublesome to deal with it and he especially don’t want him to be his enemy.
CLANG!
Another clang was heard and Fredrick stepped back a little but a large cut appeared on his right hand and blood spurted from his wound.
Fredrick closed his eyes and opened them, he saw a shadow moving around him at a high speed.
BANG!
Just as Parth emerged from the shadow, Fredrick slashed his spear at Parth and blasted him off.
Fredrick lunged forward towards Parth to give a final blow to him in the mid-air but his strike met nothing as Parth’s image had disappeared out of thin air.
“Damn!” Fredrick gritted his teeth.
The game of hiding and seek went on for quite a time and Fredrick becoming irritated, summoned lightning.
His tip of the spear started to glow with a crackling sound and lightning started to coverage at the tip.
Fredrick jumped up in them and threw the spear on the ground.
BOOM!
A large explosion occurred and shock waves spread throughout the area which pushed the referee a few steps back who stood at the side of the arena.
The explosion hadn’t even been stopped when Fredrick felt a chilling sensation behind his back.
Parth emerged above Fredrick with a grin and thought he had caught Fredrick’s unguarded and was about to slash at him but Fredrick spun his body and faced Parth with a large smile on his face.
“Predictable,” Fredrick spoke and caught Parth’s neck and pulled him down.
Parth was not able to use the shadow ability as Fredrick was clinging to him like a slug.
Fredrick gripped Parth’s wrist and as they descended, kicked Parth with his full strength and jumped backwards when they were close to the arena.
BANG!
…..
“He went easy on him,” Charles muttered as he looked at the match.
“Yeah, Fredrick could have finished the match quickly, if he wanted,” Lucas spoke as he knew Fredrick stalled it so that Parth don’t be saddened by his loss.
“I am not talking about that,” Charles spoke.
“Than,” Lucas asked with a surprised tone.
“Fredrick just knocked him out and didn’t break his bones,” Charles spoke.
“Ohh!” Lucas exclaimed in surprise.
“Certainly, he should a broken a few of his bones so that he can’t come out of infirmary until the finale was over.” Lucas rubbed his chin.
If Parth was here, he would have puked blood and screamed that these two were not his friends but demons.
