The Extra who regained his past life memories
Chapter 202: dungeon 2
But suddenly, the lizard attacked Luna. She avoided it, but she didn’t use anything beyond the limits she had set for herself.
As a result, the lizard’s claws injured her hand.
Pain spread through her, but she kept her cool and plunged her sword into the lizard’s heart. It didn’t have time to dodge before it died.
As soon as the lizard died, I appeared beside Luna and looked at her arm.
She just smiled as she used Light Magic to heal the wound and her Moon Element to speed up the healing process.
I watched as her wound healed at a visible speed.
I sighed when I saw that she was completely fine. However, I couldn’t say anything to her. It was her choice, and she knew what she was doing. I trusted her.
But I still glared at her.
“Hey, where’s your armor?”
At that question, she completely avoided my eyes.
“Ah, what’s armor? This is my armor.”
She showed me her elegant outfit.
My eyes twitched. “If that’s your armor, then what do you call your normal clothes?”
She grinned and said, “Those clothes are armor themselves, so don’t insult them. Humph!”
I just sighed and told her to put on her armor if she was going to fight again.
She had already summoned her clean white armor, which looked as if it had been made specifically for her.
I thought about that statement and felt awkward. Of course, armor was supposed to be made for her. She was a princess, not a broke person who couldn’t afford custom armor.
She looked at me thoughtfully before saying, “It’s bound armor, so it wasn’t custom-made. It was made to fit me after I bound it.”
My eyes widened as she asked, “So, where’s your armor, Mr. Gray…?”
She glared at me accusingly.
I just pointed at myself and said, “Try touching me, and you’ll see my armor.”
She already knew about my Space Barrier, so she frowned.
“That’s not proper armor.”
I just shrugged. “It’s protecting me better than any armor could.”
Then I returned to Lily and her master’s side.
Luna followed me, still wearing her armor.
Lily looked at Luna and complimented her armor.
“Wow, it suits you!”
Luna looked at herself and smiled. “Hmm, thank you. Someone keeps nagging me to put on my armor.”
I glared at her.
“I said to wear it only during battle.”
She just rolled her eyes. “What do you think? Are monsters going to come and tap me on the shoulder, saying, ‘Hey, I’m coming to attack you, so put on your armor’?”
The mage woman covered her mouth and laughed.
“Serves you right, you brat!”
I looked at her speechlessly. I couldn’t argue with that.
Then she added, “It’s so unfair! You have Space Armor, while I have to wear mine externally.”
I just shrugged. “Life isn’t fair.”
She punched me.
“You…”
I laughed as we continued deeper into the dungeon.
We let Lily handle all the monsters along the way until we finally arrived at the boss room.
Lily went over to her master, and they talked about something. I just looked at Luna’s new appearance and said, “You look like a knight in shining armor. What’s next? Are you going to save this poor, helpless me?”
Her mouth twitched as a smirk played on her face.
“Oh, why not? I’ll save you if monsters come.”
I nodded and said, “Then I’ll stay behind you and let you protect me.”
She laughed at that.
“Aren’t you afraid people will start saying you hide behind a woman?”
I just shrugged and said, “If they say that, I’ll correct them.”
She raised an eyebrow and asked, “Correct them with what?”
I said, “It’s not that I’m hiding behind a woman. I’m hiding behind a beautiful woman.”
“Context matters.”
She burst out laughing.
“You’re shameless!”
I shrugged again. “What can I say? Beauty rules the world. If I went and hid behind an old woman like that, I’d get criticized. But if I hide behind you, they’ll only be jealous.”
Luna laughed even harder and said, “It’s a good thing she didn’t hear you. Otherwise, we’d have to deal with another fight.”
I snorted. “Who’s afraid of whom?”
Then Lily came over to us and told us she was going to enter the boss room.
We nodded as she approached the door, opened it, and entered the boss chamber.
Luna and I followed her inside, staying alert for anything that might happen.
However, we didn’t see anything until we went a little farther inside.
There, we saw a sleeping dragon.
My eyes widened.
“Ahhh! A dragon in a D-Rank dungeon?”
The mage woman spoke up.
“It’s an Earth Dragon. It’s not that dangerous, and it’s a little one at that.”
My eye twitched.
“Is that thing little? Has your eyesight gone haywire?”
“Oh, sorry. You’re old, so I guess that’s normal.”
Lily giggled at that, while a black line appeared on the mage woman’s forehead. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
“You brat, shut it!”
I laughed at that and remained silent as she explained that an Earth Dragon was an inferior version of a true dragon.
We listened to her explanation before I patted Lily’s shoulder.
“Then, good luck, Lily.”
I looked at Luna, and she smirked back at me. She also went over and patted Lily’s shoulder.
“Good luck, Lily. I hope you survive this.”
Lily’s eyes twitched as she realized we had basically put her on the death list.
A rare smile appeared on Lily’s master’s face as well. She came closer to Lily and said, “Good luck, my disciple. If you survive, we can continue our master-disciple relationship.”
Lily’s eyes widened.
“Master, even you?”
Her master acted clueless and said, “What are you talking about? I just wished you good luck.”
Then she returned to us, and we all moved some distance away and cheered Lily on.
She looked at the staff in her hand, then at the massive Earth Dragon, and gulped.
She turned back toward us.
“Master, do I really have to fight that monster alone? Can’t I get help from Gray and Luna?”
But what she saw left her speechless.
We had already taken out a tea set and were preparing to drink tea while watching her.
Her mouth twitched violently as she called out, “Master…”
The mage woman was startled and looked at Lily.
“Oh, oh! What happened? Did you die?”
Lily was completely at a loss.
But then she heard the dragon move at the sound of her scream.
She immediately covered her mouth and decided to fight the dragon alone.
She knew how much we liked joking around. If the situation really became dangerous, we would step in to save her.
She prepared a spell while the dragon was still sleeping. She created a rock and heated it as much as possible before compressing the wind to increase its pressure and momentum.
She aimed her attack at the Earth Dragon and coated the rock with Aura. This wasn’t Sword Aura, but a different kind of Aura that mages could awaken.
Then she launched it.
The burning rock struck the dragon’s head, managing to injure it. Blood flowed from the wound, but it wasn’t a critical injury.
The Earth Dragon screamed in agony as pain spread throughout its body. Then its bloodshot eyes turned toward Lily, filled with visible hatred.
The dragon didn’t care about anything else. It had only one goal: to kill the human who had disturbed its sleep and caused it so much pain.
The dragon rushed toward Lily, and her eyes widened.
She immediately propelled herself away with Wind Magic, avoiding the dragon’s furious attack.
From a short distance away, we watched the battle.
I asked, “Is she going to be okay?”
The mage woman looked at Lily and replied, “No, she’s going to die.”
I almost spat my tea into her face as I stood up.
Luna also got up, ready to step in, but the mage woman stopped us.
“Hey, I said she’s going to die, not that she’s going to die right now! Let her fight a little longer. Keep an eye on her, and step in when she’s really in danger.”
Luna looked at her and asked a single question.
“If something happens, are you confident you can get her out of there alive?”
The mage woman smiled warmly and nodded.
“Don’t worry, Princess. I can save my disciple.”
Luna nodded with a serious expression as she looked at her.
“Then keep your word. Don’t let her die. If we see her in a dangerous situation, we’ll step in and help her.”
The mage woman didn’t mind Luna’s serious tone or her lack of trust in her. She was glad that her disciple had found such a wonderful friend.
Then we all watched Lily evade the boss’s attacks while continuing to strike it and inflict small injuries.
The mage woman nodded with satisfaction as she watched her disciple.
We knew how important moments like this were, so we didn’t interfere.
