The Extra who regained his past life memories
Chapter 193 - aria
Luna went to her side and asked, "How are you? Did you get hurt?"
Aria’s eyes brightened as she shook her head.
"No, I’m fine. Thank you for saving us I’m truly grateful to you."
Luna looked at the dead serpent and then at her group. She nodded.
"It’s nothing. Then, we’re going. Stay safe."
Aria stopped us.
"Wait..."
Luna stopped and looked at her.
"Hmm? What is it?"
Aria asked, "Can you do me a favor and come to my house? You can have some tea or eat something as my thanks."
"Or do you have any reward in mind?"
Luna blinked in confusion.
"Ah... a reward?"
I stayed back, trying to stop myself from chuckling. If she knew she was trying to reward a literal princess, she’d laugh even in her dreams.
Luna immediately caught me chuckling and pushed me to the front.
"Handle this."
This time, I blinked.
Oh, hell no! What is she up to now?
The black-haired girl looked at me with her big, marble-like eyes, waiting for a response.
I just waved my hand.
"Ah, what reward? We don’t need anything. We’re just traveling, and we heard the sounds of the attack, so we came to check it out."
She nodded gratefully before adding, "Then, can you at least come and have a little treat?"
This time, I looked at Luna.
"It’s up to you."
Luna seriously considered her offer. After thinking for a moment, she nodded.
"Hmm, it’s fine."
Aria’s face immediately lit up.
"Oh, thank you for accepting my offer!"
I just followed Luna.
Whatever she likes.
Then, Aria made her way towards the carriage.
We followed her as the other people who had been injured looked at us gratefully.
After all, if we hadn’t stepped in, they might as well have been dead by now.
As soon as we sat inside the carriage, I gave Luna a snack to munch on.
She took it happily.
"So, what kind of drink do you want?" I asked.
She immediately answered, "Orange juice."
But I cut her off.
"No orange juice. You drink so much of it. Aren’t you getting tired of it?"
She puffed out her cheeks.
"No! Give me some!"
I just sighed and handed it over. Then, I leaned closer to her and whispered,
"Hey, Luna, there’s someone here. If she finds out you’re a princess, she’d laugh at you even in her dreams."
She glared at me.
"What’s wrong with me?"
Then, she whispered back, "So what if I’m a princess? I’m a human too."
I laughed.
The black-haired girl watched us curiously, so I asked her, "So, what’s your name?"
She blinked and answered, "Oh, me?"
I nodded.
She replied, "My name is Aria."
I nodded as I extended my hand.
"My name is Gray."
She shook my hand and said, "It’s nice to meet you."
Then, Luna extended her hand as well.
"Luna..."
Aria smiled and shook her hand. Luna continued,
"If you want, you can take that corpse. I think it has some value."
Aria scratched her head awkwardly.
"It’s more trouble to take that thing and sell it. It’s too massive."
Luna nodded and said, "If you want, we can help with that."
Aria blinked and asked, "Really?"
Luna nodded with a smile and looked at me.
I looked at her speechlessly.
"Hey, why are you looking at me? Do you see me as a porter or something?"
Luna gave me an annoyed glare.
"Go and do it. You won’t even break a sweat."
I was completely speechless as I used teleportation to disappear beside the serpent’s corpse. I touched it and put it into my Space Storage before teleporting back.
"Done. Are you happy now?"
Luna nodded.
"See? It wasn’t that much work. It didn’t even take much time."
Aria watched with her jaw hanging open.
"How did you do that?"
I just shrugged and said, "Space Affinity."
She nodded.
"That’s amazing!"
Luna nodded beside her.
"Yeah, I’m so envious of that Affinity. It has way too many uses."
I looked at her with amusement.
"What? I thought your favorite element was Ice."
She nodded.
"Yes, it’s Ice."
"Hmph! Ice is better than Space."
She looked away.
Then, we went with Aria as she mostly observed us and stayed quiet.
It wasn’t long before we arrived at Aria’s home. It was massive, as usual. After all, she was a noble and a merchant, so she was loaded as hell.
As soon as we got out, a figure came forward and hugged Aria.
We moved to the side as we watched her mother embrace her.
"Oh, daughter! You nearly gave me a heart attack! What if something had happened to you? Next time, bring more people, and make sure they’re powerful ones!"
Aria just smiled and nodded.
Then, her mother noticed us and pointed at us.
We were mostly covered by our cloaks, so our appearances couldn’t be seen.
Aria introduced us to her mother.
"Mom, they’re the ones who saved me from that serpent. This is Gray, and this is Luna."
"They are amazing and strong."
We extended our hands and shook hands with her mother.
She expressed her gratitude for saving her daughter, and we nodded awkwardly.
I waved my hand.
"It’s totally fine. We just happened to see her while passing by, and we seem to be around the same age as well."
This time, both Aria and her mother were greatly surprised.
"The same age as my daughter? How old are you?"
I just took off my cloak and said, "Oh, I’m twelve."
Her eyes twitched as she asked, "Rank?"
She already surprised by our age but she need know the rank as well because her daughter have many guards and they can’t take down the serpent from what she heard.
I smiled and said, "I’m C-Rank."
Then, she studied my appearance and nodded before making way for us to enter her home.
"Come inside it’s not good to keep guests outside too much."
I nodded as i said "give me a minute."
She look at me with curiosity as i went to the guard in the manner and ask where do they need the serpent.
They nodded with gratefulness and pointed a location so i placed the serpent in there.
So i put the giant serpent and went to the luna’s side.
Luna then took off her cloak, and Aria and her mother looked at her in awe.
Then, Luna and I took seats beside each other.
Aria came towards us and said, "I can’t believe you two are really my age. I’m nowhere near your strength."
Luna smiled at her.
"Don’t take it to heart. We trained a lot, and we both have good talent."
Aria nodded as her mother looked at us.
"But even so, your progress is unbelievable. I don’t think anyone can match you."
"And you two are really cute together are you two.."
Luna said before she continued "we are engaged our families are close."
She smiled at that "hmm you two really match together like mach made in heaven."
Then, she asked the most important question she already has a answer she just ask to confirm.
"I presume you two are nobles?"
As she asked, another man entered the room. Aria saw him and introduced him as her father.
He nodded, approached Aria’s mother, and looked at us with his eyes slightly narrowed.
To be exact, he was cautious of us.
I didn’t mind and answered Aria’s mother.
"Yes, we are nobles. We’re just traveling, as we said before."
Her father directly asked, "You two saved my daughter I really grateful for that. What do you need as a reward? Anything I can do within my power, I’ll try to fulfill it."
I just waved my hands.
"No, nothing. We don’t need anything."
He looked at us deeply and said, "You see, the hardest thing to repay is a favor."
I just said, "No, don’t think of this as a favor. Just think of it as friends helping each other."
Her father smiled and asked, "Can I know which noble house you’re from?"
I pointed a finger at myself.
"Oh, me? I’m from the Starlight family. My full name is Gray Starlight."
The room fell into a heavy silence.
Aria and all her family members stared at me as if I’d just performed a magic trick.
Aria’s father is the first one to broke from his shocked.
As he studied my appearance and nodded "hmm truly match the appearance of a starlight member."
