The Extra who regained his past life memories
Chapter 188 - end of the succession.
Then I watched to see what he was going to do. I was curious, too.
He stopped at his location, grabbed his sword, and prepared to attack.
I just yawned. "Go on, use your attack. Otherwise, this is too boring."
His eyes filled with venom as his aura began to coat his sword and body.
I remained as if nothing could get to me.
But this was a fight, so I had to be serious. I pushed my perception to the maximum, observing his every movement, and used Abyssal Energy to augment myself.
I threw Eclipse into my Space Storage, clenched my fist, and watched as an aura of Space crackled around my arm.
As soon as he moved with his aura-coated blade, I didn’t wait. I activated my Space Barrier again. I still had enough mana to do so.
My physique also helped me recover mana, while my class allowed me to save a lot of mana through proficiency.
As soon as his blade came close to me, I knew it wasn’t a killing blow but a crippling one.
He knew that if he killed me, he wouldn’t take another step out of this place.
My easygoing expression vanished. I didn’t care if he dealt a blow like that to me. I had methods to recover myself, but he didn’t know that.
As soon as his sword came close, a grin appeared on his face. However, I teleported behind him and used everything I had, including Gravity, Space Aura, and Abyssal Energy, to enhance myself. I layered Abyssal Energy over Space.
I punched him.
The sound of bones cracking rang out as he went flying, his sword falling from his hand. But my eyes narrowed as my brain worked quickly. I calculated his trajectory and teleported after him.
Eclipse appeared in my hand.
You want to cripple me, huh? I’ll show you what it means to be crippled.
He aimed for my arm, but I aimed for his leg.
I didn’t let him fly out of the arena. Instead, I pushed him back into it and cut off his leg. Abyssal Energy coated my blade, making regeneration impossible.
He didn’t even have time to scream from the punch before his leg was cut off, too.
A bloodcurdling scream rang out as I looked at the referee.
He immediately announced, "The winner of the duel is Gray Starlight!"
Just then, I felt someone rushing toward me at lightning speed.
It was that green tea man’s mother.
I just yawned. I knew that as long as Mom was around, not even a god could touch me.
She stopped in midair before being forced to the ground with a violent force.
I looked at the scene, my eyes widening.
That wasn’t normal Gravity, and it wasn’t mana, either. It was some kind of element.
I looked at Mom, who was smiling.
I simply used Teleport to return to Amy.
She asked, "Why did you look a little angry?"
I blinked. "Me?"
Amy nodded. "Yeah. You normally do things like that when you’re angry. You wouldn’t do that just because you dislike the guy."
I smiled at that and said, "Ah, his last attack was meant to cripple me, so I crippled him in return and used Abyssal Energy."
"I doubt normal healing magic will work on him. Someone like Mom or Grandma might be able to heal him, but I doubt Mom will do that."
I thought Amy would smile at that, but her eyes were fixed on the green tea guy lying on the ground. She was glaring at him, her eyes as cold as frost.
I could hear my aunt crying over her son while giving me a death glare.
I just yawned and looked at Amy. "Is the succession over, or is there more?"
Amy said it was over, but she continued glaring at him. Then she said to me, "Gray, go to Luna’s side. I’ll handle this, and I promise you that Aunt won’t do anything to you."
I just laughed. "Ah, she’d do something to me with Mom and Astrid around? I don’t think she even has the ability to do that."
Amy nodded. Lightning surrounded her, and she vanished.
I could barely catch her movements with my perception.
I just stared at her figure as a smile appeared on my face.
"Hmm, it seems I’m delusional if I think I can exchange blows with her on equal grounds."
She hasn’t even awakened her physique or class yet.
Then determination appeared on my face.
I still have a long way to go.
I teleported away to Luna.
She had already expected me to come, so she looked at me and said, "Hmm, that was a good battle. You fought extremely well."
I felt awkward. "Hmm, thanks..."
Then she asked, "But why did you cut off his leg?"
I just shrugged and explained the situation.
She nodded. "Hmm, he deserves it."
She smiled and then asked, "So, what are we going to do now?"
I thought about it as well before saying, "How about we look at the situation over there and then leave?"
Luna thought about it and nodded. "That works."
Then we walked toward the commotion. Mom, Grandma, my aunt, and my uncle were there, all giving me death glares.
As soon as I arrived, my aunt pointed a finger at me and screamed, "You devilish brat! How dare you do that to my son?!"
Mom’s eyes narrowed as Amy stepped forward.
But I just yawned. "Why shouldn’t I dare? Do you mean to say that when your son tries to cripple me, I have to stand by and let it go?"
Mom nodded at that. She had already seen everything.
My aunt’s face flushed with rage.
"You..."
But when she looked at her son, she immediately screamed again, "Where is the damn healer?!"
Then a woman with blonde hair arrived and used a high-tier healing potion infused with Light Affinity.
However, the wound remained. The Abyssal Energy absorbed the healing energy and continued to spread.
The healer’s eyes widened.
For the time being, she focused on the other parts of his body, such as his broken jaw and other injuries.
My aunt glared at her.
"What are you doing? Are you that incompetent? Can’t you heal a broken limb?"
But the healer said, "It’s not that I’m incompetent. All the healing items are being absorbed by the energy left behind by the wound."
"That’s energy is cannot be extracted by me it’s keep absorbing my energy when i try to remove it."
My aunt looked at me. After seeing the situation, I decided it wasn’t a big deal and left with Luna while laughing with her.
Her entire being seemed to explode with rage.
Her son has always been protected by her, and nothing has ever happened to him. Now, her precious son is suffering right in front of her, and she’s powerless to do anything.
She screamed, "What have you done to my son’s leg?!"
I stopped and felt a pang of guilt. Even if he’d managed to cripple me, someone might have healed me.
So I just thought, Fuck it.
I looked at Luna. "Give me a minute, Luna."
She nodded.
I went over to him and absorbed all the Abyssal Energy using Devour.
Then I looked at the healer and said, "Now try. You should be able to help him."
Through out all my uncle watches in the side didn’t said a word I don’t know but i felt he seemed to be scared of my mom.
I look at him one last time with disgust aunt can come fourth and fought for her green tea sone but that man who supposed to be his father didn’t say "hmm"
Only capable of glaring at me what a joke.
Then i went to luna’s side went to Luna’s side.
She nodded as I returned to Luna’s side.
Mom and Amy watched from the side. They let me handle the situation myself, but they were ready to step in if my aunt tried anything.
Grandma watched as well. She had intended to intervene, but since the situation was resolved, she smiled.
She didn’t mind me being ruthless or cutting off a leg. To her, being soft toward enemies was the real foolishness. However, she couldn’t simply watch a family member get crippled when she had the ability to help.
Seeing me take care of the situation, she nodded with satisfaction.
Luna and I left. My aunt tried to hold me accountable, even after I’d allowed him to be healed, but one look from Mom stopped her.
The succession ended with Amy being announced as the next successor and the next head of the family.
With that, the main event of the day was over.
As Luna and I chatted about the day’s duels, she shared her observations and asked me questions about why I’d done certain things at specific moments.
I answered her questions as the day came to a end.
