The Extra who regained his past life memories

Chapter 152 - another wave of monsters

  • Next Chapter

We looked toward Luna and saw a small spark of Aura on her sword as well.

I smiled at that.

Hmm, she’s quite competitive.

Then we went to her side, and she showed us her tiny spark of Aura, her eyes glowing like two blue gems.

Elena went to her side and looked at it before nodding with satisfaction.

"Hmm, you improved a lot. I didn’t think you would achieve Aura this fast."

Luna nodded proudly.

"Yeah. Isn’t it amazing?"

Elena smiled and nodded.

"Yeah, amazing, amazing."

"After all, you’re my little sister."

Amy chimed in.

"Hey, the next monster wave is coming. Get into position."

"Elara, you come with me and Elena. Let Luna and Gray take care of the other side."

Elara nodded.

"Okay, Sister Amy."

Then I went to Luna’s side and said,

"Amy told me that when we fight, our Aura will automatically grow, so..."

I didn’t finish the sentence.

She understood what I meant and took out her sword as well.

"Hmm, let’s see which monster we have to fight this time."

I nodded.

"It doesn’t matter which monster it is. We’re going to slaughter them all."

I grinned.

She nodded as well and looked toward the incoming monsters.

Then we saw armored lizardmen coming toward us.

There were more than twenty of them.

She clutched her sword and said,

"Gray, this time you need to be the support. I’ll take the lead."

I felt like making a joke, but after seeing her serious expression, I nodded with a warm smile.

"Okay. I won’t let a single one of them land a blow on you. Go and have as much fun as you want."

She smiled and nodded.

"Okay, then. I rely on you."

I nodded.

I looked at the army of lizardmen, my eyes narrowing.

I couldn’t afford to mess this up.

Luna was placing her trust in me.

I won’t let any of them harm Luna.

My mana was full, and as long as Eclipse had blood, it could supply me with endless stamina, so I didn’t have to worry about that.

Then Luna pushed herself forward, using her speed to get close to the lizardmen.

She attacked the lizardman in front.

The lizardman blocked her attack with its shield, but Luna immediately pulled her sword back and continued attacking.

I observed the situation with my Perception and saw two of them coming from different sides to attack her.

I created a sharp Ice Spear and sent it through a Space portal directly into one of their heads, killing it on the spot.

Then I moved to block the other one with Eclipse.

I augmented myself with mana and coated Eclipse with a thin layer of Aura before slashing.

The lizardman blocked with its wooden shield, but my strike cut through it like paper.

The attack didn’t stop there.

It continued through the shield and cut the lizardman in two.

After that, I simply pulled my sword back and kept watching Luna.

I watched her movements, how she killed her enemies, what expression she had, and whether there was any danger from the other lizardmen.

I feel like a stalker.

I grinned inwardly.

Ah... what am I becoming?

I shook my head and continued watching her, waiting for when she needed my help again.

I prepared a Dark Bullet in advance, making it as potent as possible, and waited.

Luna killed one lizardman after another, gradually using her Aura and improving it in the middle of the fight.

After watching her for a little longer, I got the feeling that she was completely fine.

I had the thought of going to fight another group of lizardmen. Amy and Elena had already wiped out more than half of them.

But I had promised to look after Luna and support her, so I couldn’t be selfish this time.

Instead, I aimed my Dark Bullet at the weak points of the lizardmen so Luna could kill them more easily.

I shot at their feet, broke their arms, destroyed their weapons, and used my Perception to keep an eye on Luna.

Finally, all the monsters in this wave were dead.

Luna came toward me, and I smiled.

I took out a bottle of orange juice, but then I felt like it wasn’t cool enough.

So I used my Ice element to create a cold breeze and cool the orange juice before handing it to Luna with a smile.

"Here, drink this. You look a little tired."

She puffed out her cheeks in protest.

"Who is tired? Humph!"

I grinned and motioned for her to drink the orange juice.

"Oh, then you don’t need this orange juice."

I pretended to pull it back.

"Oh, what a waste. But it’s okay. I’m tired, so I’ll drink it myself."

Her eyes widened, and she immediately grabbed the orange juice from my hand.

She glared at me.

"It’s mine! Don’t you dare!"

She protected the orange juice like it was something precious.

I smiled.

"But you’re the one who said you weren’t tired."

When I looked at her, she was already drinking the orange juice like a hamster.

I really felt like pinching her cheeks again, but I held myself back.

Then Amy and the others came toward us and saw Luna happily drinking her orange juice.

Elena’s expression immediately melted at the sight of her little sister’s cuteness.

Amy simply came to me and patted my shoulder hard.

"You brat. Now you’ve become her personal cafeteria. What about us? And what happens in the future? You two aren’t even married yet, and you’re already like this. Are you just going to forget about us?"

I looked at her with annoyance and took out a container filled with different kinds of sweets.

I extended it toward Amy.

"This has some of the things I made, and some of them I bought from a dessert shop."

Amy’s eyes lit up.

She immediately took it from me, opened the container, and looked inside.

There were many kinds of delicious sweets.

She took one and passed the container to Elena.

Elena looked at the neatly arranged sweets and took one herself before passing the container to Elara.

Elara took one as well and passed it back to me.

I went over and gave one to Luna as well.

Lastly, I took one for myself and began eating.

It was pudding, and the moment I tasted it, my taste buds were completely filled with its sweetness.

I enjoyed it while closing my eyes.

Then we waited for the next wave.

I went to Luna’s side and asked,

"So, what about the next wave? But I’m a little disappointed with this Secret Realm. I was hoping there would be a match against the other races."

She looked at me.

"Isn’t the first trial enough?"

I simply said,

"Ahhh... about that, it wasn’t enough."

She smiled and nodded before looking toward the next monster wave.

This time, it was trolls.

Huge trolls with blue skin.

I looked at Luna.

She said,

"Trolls. They’re big and strong, but compared to us, they’re much slower. We can take advantage of that."

I nodded and grabbed Eclipse.

Then I moved forward with Void Step.

Before the troll even had time to attack me, I used the thin layer of Aura I could utilize and cut off its massive arm.

Then I immediately moved toward another one.

When fighting monsters like these, staying in one position is a disadvantage.

Agility is the key to defeating them.

I infused Space into Eclipse and slashed one of the trolls with full force.

Space parted, and an arc of spatial energy cut through the troll, slicing it in two.

I looked at it.

Nice.

Then I continued killing the others.

But when I looked back, the trolls I thought I had killed were getting back up.

Their wounds regenerated, and they returned to full health in no time.

...What the hell?

I went toward Luna, and she looked at me.

"They seem to be regenerating, so we need to find their cores and destroy them. I saw my sister and your sister kill them like that."

My eyes lit up, and I nodded.

I pushed myself toward one of the trolls.

Luna saw that and called out to me.

"Hey! Wait until we make a plan! Don’t just rush in blindly!"

I heard her, but it was already too late.

So I decided to kill one and return to her side.

I used my Perception to examine the troll deeply, searching for its core.

Finally, I located it deep inside its stomach.

I grinned.

I created a Dark Ball and compressed it into a tiny sphere. Then I used Gravity to propel it forward.

The tiny sphere pierced through the troll’s thick skin and reached its core, destroying it.

As soon as the core was destroyed, the troll collapsed to the ground and died.

I saw that and smiled before returning to Luna’s side.

"Hmm. It really works."
