The Extinction Healer of the Beast Husbands
Chapter 87: Ch 87. Not the Main Queen
Vee smiled at this, then turned to leave, but Selena called out to her once more.
"Vee."
"Yes, Your Majesty?"
"Has Dorven gotten out of bed yet?"
Vee paused for a moment before answering.
"I haven’t received any recent updates, but the Lion King was still in his quarters when I last heard a report."
Selena breathed a sigh of relief. At least she wouldn’t have to worry about the man’s condition for the time being.
"All right. If there’s any news about his treatment, let me know immediately."
"Yes, Your Majesty."
After Vee left, Selena pulled the blanket back up to cover part of her face.
She still remembered how the ritual had lasted all night. Several times, the sacred fire reacted unexpectedly, forcing her to help Dorven stabilize the turbulent energy within his body.
Although it was exhausting, Selena didn’t regret her decision. If the ritual could truly help Dorven rediscover his emotions, it meant they had found a new path to healing him.
However, Selena had no intention of spending all her time worrying about her husbands’ problems.
She still had her own life, and once all her duties as the Healer of Extinction were complete, she would ensure that her future was no longer dictated by others. ℯ
"I hope you’ll all recover quickly after this," she murmured before closing her eyes again. "I want to be free of this extra work as soon as possible."
Outside the room, Vee, who happened to hear that mutter, could only offer a faint smile.
Their queen was truly different from before.
Back then, according to the stories told by the people in this palace, Selena would do anything to get her husbands’ attention. Now, she’d rather sleep than welcome them.
For some reason, Vee felt that this change wasn’t a bad thing. In fact, for the first time, Selena looked like someone who was truly brave enough to assert her own desires.

Selena stretched with a sense of immense joy because she’d slept for quite a while. It was truly satisfying and pleasant, especially since no one had disturbed her at all.
After showering and getting ready, Selena stepped out of her bedroom and headed straight to her study. She wanted to prepare a potion for Dorven; his skin had turned red, almost as if it were peeling, due to the boiling treatment.
Although the fire didn’t feel as hot as a regular fire, the water still felt like it was boiling. Dorven’s skin was a bit sensitive, so Selena didn’t want to let that turn into a new ailment.
"Your Majesty, the Dragon King has arrived."
Selena looked up to see Stevan smiling as he entered her room.
"Is there anything you need? Or is any part of your body hurting again? Let me check you over—maybe I can make some additional medicine," Selena said before returning her focus to preparing the potion for Dorven.
"My body is fine—everything’s been fine since I drank the potion you gave me back then. The ointment you applied was pretty effective, too; my body no longer stiffens like a rock when I try to use the Dragon Core," said Stevan as he set down the tray he was carrying.
Selena was silent for a moment, almost forgetting that she’d treated this man’s body with a cream or ointment she’d made some time ago—before she’d nearly died yesterday. But since Stevan didn’t seem to think anything of it, Selena didn’t want to appear flustered; she’d almost forgotten about it herself.
"So you came just to deliver that?"
"Yeah, besides liking valuable items, you also like good food, right? I brought some foods that are popular in the Dragon Clan—you’ll definitely like them."
Selena smiled softly, then nodded and paused for a moment before speaking. "You’re number three on the list—is that why you came here too?" she asked, cutting straight to the point.
No one knew that Selena hadn’t ended up having sex with Dorven last night; as far as they knew, she’d already done it with that man, so the second slot was already taken. That’s why Stevan was here now—he was number three in line to have sex with Selena.
"I didn’t come for that. I just wanted to see you because you looked so exhausted you didn’t even wake up this morning," Stevan said, then smiled gently. "Draven is the lion king; he’s an incredibly strong man, and the lion beastkin in Eldoria are the second strongest. I was worried—not just me, but all of us were worried about you. Because when you spent the night with the wolf king, you were still able to wake up just fine the next morning. That’s why we were all anxious—because among the five of us, the Lion is the wildest."
Selena gave a small smile. "I think dragons are the wildest because, as far as I can think and remember, dragons are the most terrifying creatures. They’re even nearly extinct now, unlike lions, which are still quite numerous in the forest," she said, drawing on what she knew from her past life.
In fact, Selena had never even encountered a dragon in the real world she came from before she suddenly found herself in this woman’s body. Dragons had gone extinct in her old world; only a few stories remained about flying dragons, fire-breathing dragons, or the like.
And even then, that was only if she dug deeper into the history of dragons as told in a particular region; otherwise, people wouldn’t even know they were a type of creature called a dragon. ℯ𝐥.𝒄ℴ𝓶
"We went extinct because of the Curse of Extinction, which brought an incurable disease. Many of my people did indeed die because of this; the rest died in battles between dragon races and the like. It’s true that our numbers were already quite small in Eldoria, but we were still numerous enough to destroy an entire region," he replied, making Selena smile and nod in understanding.
Stevan was glad to see that Selena was doing just fine. She even looked so relaxed while making the medicine that Stevan, out of curiosity, moved closer to watch.
Selena mixed several ingredients, boiled them in a small cauldron specifically for medicine on her table, then ground them with a special mortar and pestle. Her movements were deft; Selena was already highly skilled at making these medicines, which is why Stevan was in awe.
"You’re the only person I’ve ever seen make these types of medicines. Even Xoruc Dee is usually confused and has to consult books to make sure the composition of the medicine he’s making is correct."
Selena smiled softly. "I use my abilities and memories as an Extinction Healer. Of course I know what to do without consulting a book," she replied, causing Stevan to nod in agreement.
"That looks like an ointment? Who’s it for?"
"The Lion King—he needs it to soothe his skin." Selena closed the small ceramic bottle after filling it with the ointment. "What food did you bring? Can I try some now?"
"Sure, come on over," Stevan said enthusiastically.
Selena stood up from her seat, then sat back down in a chair in the room. Stevan introduced her to several dishes, some of which were made with meat that was quite tender and delicious.
The two of them ate together, as if they were enjoying a snack—much like Selena used to do in the human world. She did, in fact, often buy food when she had extra money; the difference was that back then she had to pay for it, but now she could simply eat without spending a dime because her husbands were competing to bring her delicious food.
"Because of a few things that delayed my plans, I want to tell you now," Stevan said as he enjoyed the food, causing Selena to raise an eyebrow.
"About what?"
Stevan smiled before speaking. "You’ve healed me to nearly 70 percent; I’m very happy with my current condition. So I intend to take you to the main palace of the Dragon Clan—you’ve never been to our main palace as our wife and queen. But I plan to do so in two days because there’s a celebration in the Dragon Clan then. "Do you want to come with me?" Stevan asked, causing Selena to raise an eyebrow.
"A celebration?"
"That’s right. It’s a sort of annual celebration, as well as a ceremony to reclaim the territory that was once taken over by the Green Traitor. You’ll definitely love it—there are plenty of offerings, food, and exciting activities at the event. I also want to formally introduce you to my family, since I’ve been keeping it a secret for quite some time now that you’ve become my wife," said Stevan, causing Selena to stop eating.
She looked at Stoner, who seemed eager to hear her answer. This made her take a slow breath, then take a handkerchief from Vee, who had been sitting next to her the whole time.
"Aren’t I the wife of all five of you? I’m just a healer, and I’m not sure you can acknowledge my status as the wife of five other kings in front of all your subjects and your family as your wife and the Dragon Queen," said Selena, causing Stevan to furrow his brow.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, this actually breaks the rules. I’m not from the Dragon clan either; as far as I recall, according to the rules, the queen and wife you’ll recognize must be of the same race as you," she said calmly. "That’s also why the Eldoria Council of Justice had a building constructed—which also serves as a secondary palace—after we got married. Because you don’t need to bring me or introduce me as Queen at the main palace."
