ONE MONTH LATER~

Bryce was anxious about everything.

The long-awaited moment was only hours away, and no matter how much he tried to remain calm, he could not quiet the uneasiness that had settled over him.

Too much had changed in such a short time...

His pregnancy had already begun to show.

There was now a small bump on his stomach, and ever since it had appeared, Vincent had barely allowed him to wear anything that concealed it.

He wanted Bryce in clothes that left the slight curve of his stomach visible, simply because he liked looking at it.

He could hardly keep his hands away from it either, always finding some excuse to touch the small bump as though he still could not believe their baby was already growing inside Bryce.

But as they prepared to leave for the Wolf World, Bryce had no intention of wearing what Vincent preferred.

He was not about to spend the journey with his stomach exposed simply because Vincent wanted to stare at it.

Instead, he wore a loose white long-sleeved T-shirt with loose black jeans. The combination made him look almost like an innocent boy, especially with the pure white fabric complementing his skin so well.

Anyone seeing him for the first time would never have guessed what he carried inside him.

A baby.

And an enormous power.

_

Bryce left the bedroom and walked toward the living room, where Vincent was waiting with Dave.

He carried nothing with him. There was no reason for him to bring anything when his plan was simple: finish what they had to do as quickly as possible and return to the place he genuinely considered home.

Dave was not coming with them.

It was probably better that way.

They did not know what to expect once they reached the Wolf World, nor could they be certain that Dave would be safe there.

They would already be occupied with making sure the task was completed, and neither of them wanted to divide their attention between the task and Dave’s safety.

So they had decided that Dave would remain behind and take care of things while they were gone, including the company and their properties.

_

Their relationship had lasted almost a month now, and somehow, things had become far more comfortable and natural than any of them had expected.

For the most part, everything between the three of them had been surprisingly good.

The only real difficulty remained Dave’s struggle with the feelings he had developed for Vincent.

He had kept telling Bryce that those feelings were not real.

And if they were real, Dave insisted, they were not deep. They had not grown naturally, he claimed.

They had only come from the sympathy and kindness Vincent had shown him, and they would eventually disappear once he stopped depending on that kindness.

He had repeated that to Bryce more than once.

Then, one evening, he had gone to Bryce again and admitted that he no longer knew what to do.

His feelings for Vincent were not fading.

They were growing stronger.

And because of that, he did not know how much longer he could keep himself under control.

Bryce had suggested that they simply tell Vincent about it.

Dave had refused completely- too afraid of being rejected. Worse, he was afraid Vincent might become angry with him and that whatever friendship had developed so naturally between them would be ruined.

As for Vincent, Bryce could only come to one of two conclusions.

Either Vincent genuinely felt nothing toward Dave and had no idea how much Dave was struggling around him.

Or Vincent knew exactly what was happening and was pretending not to notice because he felt something too, and he was good at hiding those feelings.

Bryce leaned toward the second possibility.

There were subtle things he had noticed, small reactions Vincent probably did not realize he was giving away. None of them were enough to prove anything, but Bryce had seen enough to make him suspicious.

He continued down the hallway toward the living room, only to stop abruptly at the entrance.

Dave was crouching down, fixing the socket for the TV.

The socket had been mounted so low that Bryce had never understood why they had positioned it that way in the first place.

From where Bryce stood, the position left Dave’s figure clearly visible beneath the fitted gym top he was wearing.

His sweatpants outlined the shape of his ass as he worked, completely oblivious to the attention he was drawing.

Vincent was staring at him.

Not merely looking.

Staring.

His attention was fixed so intensely on Dave that he seemed to have forgotten everything else around him.

Then slightly, Vincent suddenly slapped his own face several times, as though trying to pull himself out of whatever thoughts had caught his attention.

He turned away, only for his eyes to land immediately on Bryce, who stood there staring at him in disbelief.

Vincent straightened, his mouth parting as though he was about to say something, however, no words came. He closed it again.

He looked as though he desperately wanted to explain himself, but he could not seem to find the words.

Bryce was not entirely sure what he felt about what he had just witnessed.

He should have been happy.

After all, things were finally falling into place.

Vincent was clearly feeling something toward Dave, and Dave had already admitted that his feelings for Vincent were real. Both of them continued to show Bryce every day how much they loved him.

This was what Bryce had wanted.

He had wanted them to love each other too.

So why did the happiness not come immediately?

Was he jealous?

No.

It could not be.

Being bothered simply because Vincent had been looking at Dave like that, clearly having thoughts about him, should not make him jealous.

They were in a relationship together. If the three of them were truly going to be together, in that way, then Vincent and Dave are going to naturally act like that around each other, not just toward Bryce himself alone.

It was something Bryce had done himself.

Sometimes Dave caught his attention that way.

Sometimes Vincent did.

That did not mean he was attracted to one more than the other.

It did not diminish what he felt for either of them.

Bryce swallowed and stepped forward.

"Ready?" he asked Vincent.

The question made Dave straighten from where he had been crouching and look toward them.

"Yeah," Vincent answered.

He was not carrying anything either. He had insisted that they would have everything they needed once they arrived, so there was no reason to burden themselves with unnecessary belongings.

Even as he answered, however, the tension had not completely left his face.

He still looked as though he wanted to explain what Bryce had just seen.

Bryce did not give him the opportunity.

Instead, he turned his attention toward Dave.

Dave already looked unsettled again, much like he had the day before. Both Bryce and Vincent had spent time talking to him until he seemed more at ease.

"Will you be okay?" Bryce asked.

"As long as you come back exactly when you promised to, the day after tomorrow," Dave answered.

Bryce stepped toward him.

He rose on his toes and kissed him briefly before pulling away.

"We sure will," he murmured. "Take care of yourself."

Dave caught him and pulled him back into another brief kiss.

"Take care of yourself too, for me," he murmured.

He then turned toward Vincent.

"Take care of yourself too, Vincent, for me too."

The last part came with a slight hesitation, as though Dave had genuinely needed to say it but was not entirely certain whether he should.

Vincent looked at him for a moment.

"You too," he answered.
