The Evil God Summoned by the Saintess
Chapter 537 - 535: The Big Shots Gather to Watch
"Finally, back home!"
Reappearing in the dormitory, Hilia let out a sigh of relief.
Alina and the other mentors quickly gathered around.
"How was it, Hilia?"
"Did your rank change, were you successful?"
"That’s great, congratulations, Hilia. With your current power, just looking at you scares us."
Alina habitually used her Magic Power to enter Hilia’s body, only to be repelled by Hilia’s self-defense.
She smiled, "It seems Hilia is doing very well, we don’t need to worry."
Hilia looked around, "Ms. Alina, how long was I inside?"
Alina replied, "About one night, around 10 hours. That’s decent, considered quite fast."
"So, what time is it now...?"
"You went at 7 o’clock, so it’s 7 in the morning now, of course."
"Then I have to go to class."
"What classes? You’re already a Tier Four Mage, qualified to be a mentor, and you’re thinking about classes." Alina retorted playfully.
Her eyes still held a look of amazement.
It wasn’t just her; the other mentors also showed expressions of astonishment.
"Even though I’ve advanced to Tier Four, I can’t slack off; classes must continue." Hilia stretched lazily.
Though mentally fatigued, the progress brought by advancement left her in excellent physical condition. She felt like she could run 10 kilometers without breaking a sweat.
Alina suggested, "Get some rest first. After resting well, go see the headmaster."
"In that case, won’t others know I’ve reached Tier Four..."
Alina rolled her eyes, "You still want to hide it like last year? No way, today is the weekend, no classes."
"Ah, oh, it’s the weekend, then it’s fine."
Alina said, "Alright, get some rest first. The headmaster said he would be waiting in the office around noon. Go find him then to register."
"Okay."
Hilia nodded.
The mentors thoroughly checked her over, ensuring nothing was wrong, before departing one by one.
Hilia rubbed her head, feeling the surging power within her, suppressed her urge to test it out, and leapt onto the bed, lying down.
"Let’s take a break then."
...
Noon, in the headmaster’s office.
After lunch, Hilia arrived to find Blake already inside waiting.
Besides Blake, there were quite a few other people inside.
The current Holy Master Connor, the current Holy Daughter Anna, and a few other Archbishops were all present.
Seeing this, Hilia greeted each of them respectfully before properly sitting down and looking at everyone.
Blake, with a full smile, said, "See, Hilia really accomplished it. I told you I had high hopes for her, but you wouldn’t believe it."
The Holy Master said, "Who said we didn’t believe? If we didn’t, would we let her design the school’s Protective Array?"
Hilia blinked, curiously watching them, unsure why advancing to Tier Four attracted so many people.
Even if the Holy Daughter came, why would the Holy Master come?
And those Archbishops.
Are you all this free?
Hilia silently muttered to herself.
After a few casual exchanges, Blake spoke seriously, "Congratulations, Hilia, on successfully overcoming the Ascension God Stairs and advancing to Tier Four. Tier Four is a completely new height. You’ve reached this level in just two and a half years at school, breaking the record since the founding of the Divine Magic Academy... No, you’ve broken the world record for the shortest advancement time."
Hilia blinked.
"Is it really that terrifying?"
She didn’t feel it at all.
On the contrary, because of Rose, she felt her speed was too slow.
Anna nodded with a smile.
"This cohort of Holy Daughters may be the best since the Holy Court was established, to be honest. If you spread out, everyone could be a Holy Daughter, but unfortunately for the others, they encountered you."
Hilia’s eyes lit up, "Does that mean the first to advance to Tier Four can skip the selection and become the Holy Daughter directly?"
Anna shook her head, "Of course not. On the contrary, entering Tier Four only grants eligibility for the selection."
She blinked and chuckled, "And to become a Holy Daughter, one still needs to advance to Tier Five, and I have to retire first."
Hilia pondered for a moment, then asked, "So when will you retire?"
Blake laughed heartily, "Good question, Anna, when will you move aside to let the young ones have a chance?"
Anna looked helplessly at Blake, then said, "Soon, about five years and I’ll retire."
Hilia muttered to herself, "In five years, I’ll be at Tier Six."
Everyone present had a higher power level than Hilia, so they all heard her muttering.
The words came off as boastful, but given Hilia’s current record, no one doubted she could achieve it.
On the contrary, they all showed expectant expressions.
The Holy Master cleared his throat and said seriously, "Hilia, we’re here not only to witness your advancement but also to ask about your future plans."
Blake continued, "According to school regulations, reaching Tier Four means a student graduates with perfect scores by default. You have two choices now: first, stay at the school as a mentor to continue learning; second, enter Huijin Divine Hall to study as Anna’s assistant."
Hilia blinked, quietly asked, "Can I continue to study as a student?"
Blake was taken aback, "Why?"
"I’m only in the third grade. Where can you find a mentor younger than the classmates? I want to complete my five years of study and see what level I can reach after graduating fifth grade."
Blake looked at the Holy Master, who nodded. Blake thought for a while, "It’s not impossible, and there’s precedent. If you don’t intend to go to the Divine Hall or become a mentor, you can continue studying as a student. However, the school will give you an honorary mentor status, recorded; is that alright?"
Hilia nodded indifferently, "That’s fine."
Blake nodded, "Apart from the matter of whether to stay, there are other things to explain, like the Mage Behavior Code for Tier Four Mages and other issues to pay attention to..."
Blake proficiently explained many precautions to Hilia.
Such as not casually attacking lower-ranking mages, not violating laws at will, and so on.
Then he mentioned some other arrangements, notably that after holding a position at the school or Divine Hall, there would be a monthly salary of 20 Gold Coins, given without requiring Hilia to do anything.
Though if sudden events arise, she would need to respond to summons, such as in wartime or other emergencies.
Remembering how Vanessa mentioned something similar previously, Hilia hesitated but agreed.
Though she didn’t think much of 20 Gold Coins.
Yet, for wars and various disaster events, she wouldn’t stand by regardless.
After discussing various matters, the Holy Master said:
"Hilia, we all have high hopes for you and expect that, after your five years of study, you can make further breakthroughs."
"Thank you, Holy Master, I will."
