Chapter 2545: Ancestor Domain (I)
Chapter 2545: Ancestor Domain (I)
The sheer momentum he had carried distorted the air, sending ripples across the sky like waves crashing against an invisible shore. He stood suspended in the heavens, close enough to the capital of the Dark Blood Kingdom to clearly see the scene unfolding below.
There—
Satan, Hades, and Morningstar.
Cain’s eyes narrowed slightly.
"Body and soul."
Then—
Cain did not speak.
Instead, he slowly shifted his posture, adopting a meditative position in the sky. His legs crossed, his breathing steadied, and his presence became eerily calm.
Only his Ancestor Eye remained open.
Far below, the Dark Blood King smiled.
The stillness.
The gathering power.
He could not understand it.
For a moment, he considered issuing another command—demanding that the Scarlet King withdraw entirely from the continent—but he held back. The abilities of the Scarlet King were shrouded in mystery, and pushing too far could provoke an unpredictable reaction.
His gaze drifted toward the Sacred Armor covering Cain’s body, and a flicker of envy flashed across his eyes.
How had the Scarlet King managed to locate every fragment of the Sacred Treasure within the Ninth Realm—right under his nose?
The questions lingered.
They did not matter.
Now was the time to act.
Keeping the Scarlet King at bay was only the first step. It was not a position he could maintain indefinitely.
Buy time.
Time for another force to intervene.
The Immortal Nirvana King.
A terrifying existence.
But that would change.
He would seek vengeance.
Some might call it cowardice.
Not when his life was at stake.
Enough for the message to reach the Immortal Nirvana King.
To the Dark Blood King, who had spent centuries in secluded cultivation, two years was nothing. He was confident that he could maintain this stalemate for that long.
And beyond all that—
"If he breaks through everything... I will destroy them instantly," the Dark Blood King thought coldly.
Watching them die—
Perhaps long enough.
The Ancestor Eye on the Dark Blood King’s forehead glowed faintly as his thoughts reached their conclusion.
That alone proved a weakness that could be exploited.
Especially his.
Within it, there was no up or down.
Only endless void.
If he could trap the Scarlet King inside—
But it was a dangerous gamble.
And without it—
Time passed.
Twenty in total.
High above the sky—
The Universe Matrix manifested around him, vast and boundless, intertwining with his Chaos Wings as their power fused into something far greater.
Absolute.
"Chaos of Karma."
Danger.
A primal urge surged through him, demanding that he act—that he stop whatever the Scarlet King was about to unleash.
The eyes of the three Royal Guards lit up.
Then—
Lifeless.
He had imagined every kind of move, every possible trap, stretching the limits of his imagination to the highest level. He had anticipated deception, overwhelming force, and even sacrifices, yet there was one thing he had never considered.
It simply made no sense.
His gaze rose sharply toward the sky.
That expression felt like a direct mockery.
His voice carried accusation and contempt, spreading through every corner of the Ninth Realm.
He did not care about the accusations, nor about the judgment of those watching. The opinions of the countless beings within the realm meant nothing to him. However, he understood the importance of breaking the Dark Blood King’s state of mind, and so he chose to respond in a way that words never could.
Golden light gathered instantly, condensing into three distinct forms that hovered above his shoulders. The figures were small, yet unmistakable. One resembled a humanoid, another a dragon with horns in place of eyes, and the third a dino-warrior clad in radiant armor.
"That is impossible..." he muttered, his voice losing its certainty.
For beings of their level, the destruction of the body or even the shattering of the soul did not mean true death. As long as their Primordial Essence remained intact, they could be restored, returning with their original personality and sometimes even greater potential than before.
He had not abandoned them.
A wave of unease spread among the surrounding Royal Blutlinie and Alpha Omega Overgods. None of them had sensed anything when the Royal Guards died. There had been no fluctuation of power, no visible interference, and no sign that their essence had been extracted.
If the Scarlet King could retrieve the Primordial Essence of the Royal Guards without them noticing, then it raised a terrifying possibility. Perhaps he could do the same to them, removing the core of their existence without giving them a chance to resist.
High above, Cain observed their reactions with a faint smile.
However, there was no reason to clarify that.
With the threat of the Royal Guards removed, nothing remained to restrain him. The obstacle that the Dark Blood King had relied upon no longer existed.
This time, there was nothing left to stop him, and the battle that had been delayed was finally about to begin.
