The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2541: Two years

Chapter 2541: Two years

Cain opened his eyes, and a solemn expression appeared on his face.

He had succeeded—at least partially.

By diving deep into the structure of the seal, he had managed to channel into it the unraveling power of the Endless River of the Flow. Through precise manipulation, he could slowly dismantle the bindings connecting him to the Universe Matrix.

But there was a problem.

It was far too slow.

"At this rate... it will take around two years to remove it completely."

Though he had found a solution, it was far from ideal. Not only would he be forced to remain trapped within Paradise for two more years, but he was certain of something else—

The one who placed the seal would not remain idle.

"They will come for me before it’s gone," Cain thought grimly.

His gaze darkened.

"If it’s another Sword of the Sacred Kingdom, I can handle it... but if it’s the Sacred King himself..."

He didn’t finish the sentence.

There was no need.

Facing a true Fourth Realm lifeform in his current condition would be no different from suicide. The gap between the Third and Fourth Realm was not merely large—it was absolute. It was an abyss that even the greatest geniuses in Paradise could not hope to cross.

Not to mention, he was not even at the Limit Alpha Omega Overgod Rank, only at the Middle Stage.

For a moment, an overwhelming pressure descended upon Cain.

It felt suffocating.

Crushing.

But it did not last.

His eyes sharpened, and a fierce determination ignited within them.

"Panicking is useless," he told himself firmly. "I need to prepare for whatever is coming and give everything I have."

His breathing steadied.

"As long as my Primordial Essence remains intact... I can return home."

A plan began to form.

"I don’t need to win," he continued inwardly. "I just need to survive."

Cain nodded slightly.

Defeating a Fourth Realm lifeform was madness. He had no illusions about that. But surviving one?

That was possible.

If he gave everything.

With a clear goal in mind, Cain began refining the details of his plan. Almost immediately, one conclusion stood above all others.

"I need to return to the Ninth Realm."

Although the Eighth Realm was generally stronger, the recent conflict had severely damaged its Universe Matrix. If Cain wanted to maximize his chances, he needed a stable environment—one in peak condition.

The Ninth Realm was exactly that.

Moreover, it held something far more important.

"The last fragment of my Sacred Armor... and the fuel I need to complete one of my core techniques."

Taking a deep breath, Cain closed his eyes once more. He extended his senses, synchronizing with the Universe Matrix and examining the state of the Realm Barrier.

Moments passed.

Then—

A faint smile appeared on his face.

"Finally... some good news."

He could feel it clearly.

In less than two weeks, the barrier separating the Eighth and Ninth Realms would weaken enough for him to cross.

"What should I do in the meantime?" Cain had no intention of wasting a single moment.

His eyes turned toward the capital of the Eternal Soul Kingdom.

Without hesitation, he shot forward like a meteor, his figure tearing through the sky. As he traveled, he consumed healing treasures continuously, accelerating his recovery from the battle against Deniel.

Thanks to his overwhelming speed, it took only a few days to reach his destination.

What greeted him...

Was ruin.

The once-glorious capital—once a golden symbol of power and prosperity—had been reduced to devastation. The civil war had left its mark. The streets were drenched in blood, and broken bodies littered the ground.

The air reeked of death.

But Cain did not care.

His focus was singular.

The vault.

And from what he could sense...

It remained intact.

None of the powers had managed to secure it.

Though Cain had already secured a significant portion of the Eternal Soul Kingdom’s wealth through the spatial treasures of Shakra and Damian, the vault still contained vast resources—resources that could prove crucial for what lay ahead.

He studied it briefly.

Then his attention shifted outward.

Hidden across the region, numerous Alpha Omega Overgods watched from afar. Though they had retreated after sensing Cain’s aura, they had not abandoned their ambitions. Each of them lingered, waiting for an opportunity to seize the vault.

Cain’s lips curled into a faint smile.

"I could suppress my aura... break through the vault slowly..."

He paused.

Then his smile widened.

"Or I could do it the simple way."

In the next instant—

The Sacred Armor manifested.

Golden light enveloped his body as his power erupted outward, sending shockwaves through the sky. The very heavens trembled under the surge of energy.

Null Eternum ignited.

White flames burst across his form.

And then—

He moved.

Like a falling star, Cain plunged into the ruined capital.

Instantly, countless failsafes and defensive formations activated. Ancient arrays lit up, unleashing torrents of destructive power.

It didn’t matter.

They shattered upon contact.

Those that resisted were frozen by the Quietus Force.

Nothing could stop him.

Far away, hidden observers clenched their teeth as they watched.

The Scarlet King had made his move.

The treasures within that vault held the potential to elevate many of them to the Limit Alpha Omega Overgod Rank—perhaps even granting them the chance to become the next Realm Ruler.

And yet—

None dared act.

Cain had faced the combined might of the Eighth Realm and emerged victorious.

Now, with their forces fractured and weakened, challenging him would be suicide.

Even a coalition would be nothing more than sheep marching toward a wolf.

Explosions rocked the capital.

The ground trembled violently as Cain tore through layer after layer of defenses. The destruction only intensified as time passed, shaking the entire region.

An hour went by.

Then—

Silence.

For a brief moment, everything stilled.

But it did not last.

The tremors returned, stronger than before.

The earth split apart.

And from the depths—

Cain emerged.

His body radiated power, his presence overwhelming.

Resting upon his shoulder was a massive metallic cube.
