The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2397: Rising an army in a new universe

Chapter 2397: Rising an army in a new universe

With his vessel selected, the Scarlet King’s eyes glowed with unwavering determination as he allowed his desire and will to burn freely.

"My goal..." he roared, his voice echoing through existence itself, "is to return home!"

The radiance of his figure surged violently as the massive current connected to his Primordial Essence began to tremble.

This step was supposed to be very hard, but not for Cain. He had been willing to bet his life, facing almost certain death, the moment he became one with The Flow, all so he could return to his family and friends.

The determination and longing blazing within the Scarlet King grew stronger and stronger, until—

"RSSSSSRHH!"

Cain tore himself free from the endless current.

The pain was unbearable. Until mere moments ago, there had been no true distinction between him and The Flow. Separating himself felt like ripping his very existence apart. Yet even then, his resolve did not waver in the slightest.

The Scarlet King pushed forward with everything he had, enduring the agony until he finally broke free.

The instant he did, an overwhelming force seized his Primordial Essence and violently expelled him from the dimension of pure Flow, hurling him into the physical plane of existence.

The sky trembled.

The earth shook.

And the ocean—especially the ocean—roared in response.

A vast golden sea of power manifested as Cain’s Primordial Essence descended. The Scarlet King immediately focused on the ocean of blood below him, and now that he existed on the same plane, the power contained within it became unmistakably clear.

"I made the right choice."

A smile spread across Cain’s face, his eyes shining with excitement and thrill. Without hesitation, he flowed into the ocean of blood—not merely submerging himself within it, but transforming into its will and mind, becoming one with the crimson sea itself.

Immediately, massive waves and violent tornadoes of blood erupted as a transcendent transformation began to unfold. Even at a glance, it was clear that this was no ordinary ocean.

Immense cosmic forces reigned within it, forging its structure and matrix from within. If Cain wished to truly give birth to this blood ocean, he would need to merge completely with those forces.

Fortunately, after becoming one with The Flow, Cain’s Primordial Essence alone had already reached the Alpha-Omega Overgod Rank. Even more importantly, his domain over the Flow reached a transcendent level, allowing understanding of reality—and the connections that bound all living beings—to deepen immeasurably.

The raging storm within the ocean intensified, affecting every life form dwelling inside it. Many attempted to flee, their instincts screaming that whatever was coming would spell disaster. Yet the currents raged with such overwhelming power that reaching the shore was impossible—even for beings at the ArchDeity Rank.

And that was only the beginning.

As the fusion progressed, the power emanating from the blood ocean continued to rise—and so did its size. The ocean had already been gargantuan, its surface rivaling a tenth of an Empyrean World. Now, it expanded even further.

Massive waves of blood surged skyward, towering so high they seemed capable of touching the storm-filled heavens themselves. They obliterated everything in their path, consuming forests, mountains, and every beast unfortunate enough to stand in their way. Only those fast enough to escape survived.

The process continued for an entire month.

When it finally ended, the ocean slowly calmed. The raging energy subsided, yet the aura it radiated had grown purer and far more powerful than before.

Confusion and unfamiliarity washed over the Scarlet King for a moment as he adjusted to his new existence.

"It’s understandable," he thought calmly. "For most of my life, I had a humanoid body. Even when I possessed a dragon’s form or moved as Leviathan, I was still an entity with eyes to see and ears to hear. Now... I am an ocean. It will take time to adapt."

Without wasting a moment, Cain began acclimating to his new body. At the same time, he asserted his will over every single creature within it. They would all serve a purpose.

Thanks to the immense size of his soul, it took him only four days to fully adjust. He learned how to perceive through the ocean itself—how to see, hear, and sense everything within it.

That was not all.

With a single thought, massive hands rose from the blood ocean, crashing into the sky with overwhelming force. They possessed enough power to crush entire mountains. With greater focus and effort, Cain could even forge a gargantuan humanoid body, one capable of terrifying combat strength.

"Excellent."

Thrill and excitement shone in the Scarlet King’s eyes as he had learn to fight and felt his power rise. In the next instant, a sharp clarity coursed through his mind.

"Step one completed. Time for step two."

Taking a deep breath, Cain focused on the life forms within his body. By now, their minds had been utterly broken. The once-wild and raging beasts—creatures that lived only to kill one another—had been reduced to perfect puppets under the command of the Scarlet King.

"I need to make them stronger if they’re going to be useful."

Cain was still new to this universe and had yet to fully understand the nature of its cosmic powers. This world was governed neither by Laws and Concepts like the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe nor by the Oniric Truths of the Crimson World. Even with the immense power of his soul, mastering those forces would take time.

Fortunately, both the Power of The Flow and the Power of Chaos seemed to transcend universal boundaries, functioning regardless of the universe in which they were used.

Channeling both forces, Cain began feeding the beasts with the power and essence of the blood ocean.

The creatures trembled violently as their bodies grew larger and stronger. Some were unable to endure the transformation and exploded, but their life force was immediately absorbed by the others. There was no true loss—only refinement.

Within the blood ocean, an army was being born.
