The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2394: One with the Flow

Chapter 2394: One with the Flow

Book 25 – Rebirth in Blood

---

Cain’s Primordial Essence coursed through the endless current that spread across all existence. He was part of The Flow.

A sense of unity and connection flooded his mind and ego, something so vast and profound that it defied description. Everything was linked—every law, every being, every fragment of reality bound together by an invisible pulse. Yet while the experience was truly transcendent, it was also horrifying.

Cain used every ounce of will and determination not to lose himself.

He needed to harmonize with The Flow, to become one with the endless current that connected all reality—but he could not allow himself to be overwhelmed by it. Of course, that was far easier to think than to accomplish.

"The key is balance," Cain reminded himself. "I need to connect, but I cannot be consumed."

The Scarlet King’s eyes burned with force as he poured everything he had into the effort, yet it was not working. His mind simply could not adapt to this state. It was impossible for someone burdened with so many goals, responsibilities, and worries to find balance within such emptiness.

Dread and horror began to rise in Cain’s eyes as he realized he was losing himself. Pieces of his existence had already begun to unravel. His individuality weakened, his thoughts fraying as if pulled apart by an invisible tide.

Just as everything began spiraling toward a point of no return, his eyes suddenly lost focus.

Confusion and disorientation flashed within them—only to be replaced by unrestrained happiness and boundless peace.

There were no worries.

No stress.

No goals.

Sanity was gone.

Cain no longer cared about the past, nor did he think of the future. In his mind, neither existed. He cared only about the present moment and the current surrounding him. Nothing else mattered.

The curse!

The very curse that had stripped away his sanity just as he was about to escape the World Forge—that was the key.

By losing his sanity, by focusing every iota of his existence on the moment, giving up the past and the future, the Scarlet King was able to harmonize with The Flow.

In this state, he could connect with the endless current that bound all reality together without losing himself. The boundaries between his humanoid form and the current began to vanish, yet there was no disintegration, no unraveling of his existence.

He remained whole.

At the same time, he grew stronger.

The power of The Flow washed through him, cleansing his spirit and essence of every curse and mark that had been imposed upon him. His Primordial Essence refined itself, purer and more stable with each passing moment.

As Cain moved through the endless current, his figure suddenly reached a crossroads.

Three paths manifested before him.

Even without sanity, Cain was still capable of making a simple choice.

One path curved back upon itself, carrying his existence in a circle and keeping him where he was. Another rose upward, and when he focused on it, he felt a crimson radiance resonating from its depths.

The final path descended.

A strange and dark energy surrounded it, dense and powerful.

In his current state of mind, Cain could not distinguish good from bad, right from wrong. Yet he could sense strength. And among the three paths, the downward one carried an aura far greater than the others.

Without hesitation, he chose it.

As Cain descended, a sense of vitality and purity surged from his existence. The Flow continued cleansing him, stripping away every remaining curse and mark. His essence felt lighter, freer, unburdened.

It was only once he had gone far down that path that sanity and reason began to return to his eyes.

Ironically, the moment they did, panic flashed through them.

The last thing he remembered was his entire existence unraveling, his individuality on the verge of ceasing to exist altogether. That sudden disturbance caused his connection with The Flow to grow chaotic, nearly destabilizing the delicate harmony he had achieved.

Fortunately, Cain reacted instantly.

He shut down all thought.

He returned to the same empty, detached state that had allowed him to harmonize in the first place. Slowly, stability returned, and the connection smoothed once more.

Only after ensuring that his condition had fully stabilized did Cain allow thoughts to surface again.

A wide smile spread across his face.

"I did it."

He shouted the words within his mind, not daring to waste even a single second. Cain focused entirely on understanding his state of harmonization. Until he fully grasped it, he would not dare make a single move. If he lost this equilibrium before mastering it, he would never be able to achieve it again—and he would die.

Days passed.

Cain continued moving along with the current, drifting deeper into The Flow. Eventually, a frown formed on his face. He had no idea where he was going.

He could sense countless energies around him—laws and powers that did not belong to either the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe or the Crimson World. They felt alien, unfamiliar, and vast beyond measure.

"Wherever I am going..."

The idea of exploration was intriguing, even exciting, but Cain could not forget what awaited him. He had a family, friends, and an army that depended on him. He had no idea what dangers this destination might hold.

"Could it be the Tenth Empyrean World?"

He shook his head immediately.

Cain had perceived the laws and rules of his ultimate enemies’ world before, and this did not match them at all.

"This is a place I have never been."

In the end, Cain could only sigh.

Until he fully mastered harmonization, there was nothing he could do but go with the flow. Besides, harmonization was not the end of this process. There was still one crucial step left.

And Cain was confident he would succeed.

Days continued to pass as he went deeper and deeper into the abyss, surrounded only by radiance—until, at last, something else began to emerge.
