The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2319: Native from the Origin Island (I)

Chapter 2319: Native from the Origin Island (I)

Meylin’s eyes were cold and sharp as she stared at the Abomination before her. She had dodged its attacks with ease, analyzing its power and also trying to see if her Depravita abilities would work on it.

Unfortunately, due to the mindless nature of the Abomination, she could not use its emotions against it, making abilities like Negative Teleportation useless.

"It is practically a machine of flesh." The eyes of the True Depravita of Original Sin grew even colder as she reached that conclusion.

She had already understood enough, so it was time to end things. She flashed forward, swords in hand, dodging the attack of the abomination before rising to its head.

Hell and Abyss pierced the brain of the creature. However, Meylin was not just going to kill it. She could not use Origin Island’s energy to train, but as a Depravita she had a natural talent for devouring, and intended to consume the vitality and energy of the Abomination.

Unfortunately for Meylin, just like the energy in the environment, she could not handle the energy inside the Abomination; however, the vitality did nourish her body and was of use in stimulating her Depravita Aura.

However, just as Meylin was consuming the last ember of its vitality, she caught hold of the Abomination’s essence. Immediately, the eyes of the True Depravita of Original Sin widened, and she began to tremble violently as the energy felt like lava.

The True Depravita of Original Sin focused all her strength and puked a mouthful of blood that contained the essence she had just consumed.

A flash of dread appeared on Meylin’s face as she realized just how dangerous this island was. She could kill the Abomination without a problem, but because she consumed its essence, she almost blacked out.

"I need to be more..." Meylin did not even finish her sentence when she felt a sting in her calf, and as she gazed to her left, she saw a strange centipede with a mask for a face piercing her skin with its tail.

She was an Alpha–Omega Overgod True Depravita, so the fact that an insect could trick her senses and reach her leg was beyond shocking. Still, there was no time to think about that as the masked centipede burrowed into her leg before she could react, its body fading from sight in a heartbeat.

"ZNNNN—"

Before the next heartbeat went by, Hell and Abyss moved at a shocking speed, cutting the leg as the True Depravita jumped back.

Meylin clenched her teeth, as cutting her leg was very painful, but she did not dare lose focus for even a second as she saw the severed limb tremble before beginning to dry up, and small eggs appeared in it. They were devouring the life and energy in it only to eclosionate the next second and give birth to new masked centipedes.

Meylin felt a cold sweat run down her back as she thought about what would have happened if she had not acted fast enough. The idea of her body transforming into an incubator for a bunch of disgusting insects was a terror worse than death.

The dread did not last long since the next second, her leg was regenerated, and she destroyed all the masked centipedes, attacking with her swords until they were nothing but dust left behind.

Taking a deep breath to calm her emotions, Meylin focused on the distance. She could not sense the location of the others, but her mastery of the Flow allowed her to detect where the strongest energies were concentrated.

"The Eternity Gate should be at the center of the island. Since the others are going there, the closer I get, the higher the chances of finding them."

Of course, the True Depravita also knew the chance of meeting the Neo-Angel from the Freedom Path also increased, but just standing still was not an option. With a clear goal, Meylin began to move forward very fast, yet always keeping an eye on the surroundings, not letting her guard down for even a second.

---

It was not just the warriors from the Life Path who were having a hard time in the Island of Origin, as the Neo-Angels were also facing its danger.

Bradly’s breathing was rough, his left arm hanging loosely from the side as he had to run from a group of strange butterflies the size of a fist, each of them with masks on their faces.

One of them had managed to bypass his perception, and its sting made the blood on his left hand coagulate at such a horrible speed that it practically turned to jelly, paralyzing the arm. And it did not want to stop there, as the Neo-Angel was forced to use all his energy to prevent it from spreading to the rest of his body.

It took several hours before Bradly finally managed to reach a secure place with no more Abominations or masked insects nearby. He took a deep breath as he focused on his Neo-Angel Core.

Soon, the energy that flooded the surroundings flowed into the core before spreading across his body. While he could not take the energy of the island directly, the core allowed him access to it. Thanks to the high level of the island’s energy, Bradly was able to return his blood to normal and expel the venom from the masked butterfly after twenty minutes.

A small smile appeared in the Neo-Angel’s face after healing, yet soon his expression grew solemn. Thanks to the help of the Ancient One, not only was he able to reforge his body and soul back to their peak, but his strength even grew mightier as he was trained for the past few years with the goal of obtaining his revenge on the Scarlet King.

Yet despite all that, this place nearly killed him.

Not letting those thoughts distract him, Bradly continued to advance when suddenly he reached a pond, and immediately his eyes sharpened as he saw a figure nearby.

"Is he fishing?"
