Chapter 1407: Chapter 1407: Liu Banxia’s Ambitious Plan

People always have a sense of gain and loss, and Liu Banxia is feeling this way now.

Before he discussed it with Xu Yino, he thought suppressing it was right, and he even anticipated that this small group might have some minor feelings. But now, Xu Yino accepted it openly, and it left him a bit uncertain.

The entire morning passed in a haze. When he arrived at the cafeteria to have lunch, his mind was still somewhat muddled.

"Teacher Liu, what’s wrong? Why do you look like you have no energy?" Liu Yiqing asked curiously after taking a bite of pot-wrapped meat.

"Nothing much, I’m just unsure if my decision is good or bad for you all," Liu Banxia said.

"Don’t just listen to me and believe everything I say. You also need to think about what your real thoughts are. This matter isn’t settled yet; the director hasn’t discussed it with the Chief Director yet."

"Teacher Liu, why are you so concerned about this? It’s not a big deal," Liu Yiqing retorted.

"How is it not a big deal? It might affect your advancements and salary increases in a few years," Liu Banxia said.

"Teacher Liu, I think you’re overthinking it. Even if it does have an impact, it’ll be very minimal," Miao Rui comforted him.

"Really? You’re truly not concerned?" Liu Banxia asked perplexedly.

Liu Yiqing and Xu Yino nodded in unison.

"What about the other three? They’re not bothered either? Have they accepted it after being told?" Liu Banxia pressed on.

"Yeah, we don’t actually find it a big deal. Teacher Liu, perhaps you’re overcomplicating things?" Liu Yiqing remarked.

Liu Banxia smiled wryly, "Maybe, maybe I’m overthinking it. I’m just worried that now people are praising you, and you might lose sight of your position, expecting more from yourselves."

"If at this time you experience something again, it might psychologically affect you. Unlike other attending physicians, who go through much before getting contracts and experience more in the process."

"Our emergency center is somewhat unusual, built hastily and developing even faster. In terms of personnel configuration, the resource allocation is somewhat unreasonable."

"And your growth speed now is very fast; I worry whether you’ll accept it when you reach your bottlenecks someday."

"Also, if your other supporting resources can’t keep up, whether it will affect your work. Because that’s how I came through, I’m scared these things will happen to you."

"Teacher Liu, if I could say, we haven’t really thought about these at all. Do you believe it?" Xu Yino asked.

"Not thought at all? After all, becoming an attending physician is the first threshold in practicing," Liu Banxia said.

"To us, it’s merely a matter of time. Anyway, a few months don’t make much difference, why the hurry?" Xu Yino said.

"I was indeed a little unhappy at first, as it affects my salary a bit, and now I’m a homeowner needing to earn money diligently."

"But no matter what decision you make, it surely considers us. So it’s fine; why think so much about it?"

Liu Yiqing, beside him, nodded vigorously and shoved a snowy bean paste into her mouth. The bean paste inside was a bit hot, slightly burning her mouth.

Seeing this, Liu Banxia felt helpless. To those who know her, she’s honest; to those who don’t, it might seem dismissive.

Yet, he was still moved in his heart; the little group had no excess thoughts, stemming from trust in him.

That’s enough. Why think about all sorts of stuff? It’s like doing surgery; just go with the flow. Hesitation could cause more harm to the patient.

Thinking this, Liu Banxia turned into a hearty eater.

Even though today’s spread mainly catered to Liu Yiqing and Xu Yino’s tastes, he and Miao Rui weren’t to be trifled with either; they joined in the meal.

After eating, Liu Banxia lifted his bowl of soup and downed it in one go.

When the mood’s good, the appetite is good. Originally a big eater, he now savors his food even more.

Back at the emergency center, he also noted Li Hao and the others’ expressions. Similar to Liu Yiqing and her group, mainly unaffected.

Or rather, any impact was just a slight ripple, already digested.

"How’s it going, how’s it going?" Wang Chao leaned over.

"What else? They accepted it quickly, faster than I anticipated." Liu Banxia replied.

"This is it; no one has hindsight. I believe this is right for them, good for them, a form of protection, and that’s enough."

Wang Chao gave a thumbs up, "They truly trust you, it’s remarkable."

"Honestly, I didn’t expect this. Thought they’d have some minor tantrums, but in reality, nothing happened," Liu Banxia said.

"Now that they trust me so much, I need to carefully make learning plans for them. By the end of the year, help them become qualified attending physicians."

"My goodness, what are you pondering now?" Wang Chao asked astonished.

"I haven’t thought much about it, just practicing general surgery procedures once over. Even if I have to go to the inpatient department to ask, I have to let them all experience it," Liu Banxia said.

"In our emergency center, it’s mostly trauma and acute abdominal pain patients, so there are certain limitations. But the patients who come in aren’t always like that; sometimes when we’re diagnosing other diseases, we discover new problems."

"Let them see the whole procedure once, so they don’t panic when encountering problems and can manage them easily. Like the esophageal hiatus hernia repair we did yesterday, it was my first time doing it."

"This guy, it’s a big project. But if we run one round like this, it will definitely be fulfilling for them," Wang Chao nodded.

"I came from an internship in the inpatient department, although I’m not as dominating as them in liver surgery and NOSES procedures, but the number of general surgeries I participated in wasn’t less than two cases."

"This certainly helps a bit, a lot of surgeries really need actual hands-on practice. It’s not about making the surgery look good; once you’ve participated and operated, you have a better grasp mentally."

"That’s why, if there’s liver surgery, you have to do a round," Liu Banxia said.

Wang Chao looked at him helplessly, "Wasn’t this supposed to be about the ’Six Little Ones’? How did it end up involving me?"

"You’re the leader, I won’t have that much time. For the surgeries you’re good at, you need to guide them. For the surgeries they’re good at, they can guide you," Liu Banxia said.

Wang Chao felt even more helpless, he didn’t expect himself to be part of this big plan either.

But then he thought about it, it makes sense. Two cooperating hospitals and a pediatric surgery unit, how much of Liu Banxia’s time would all this take?

The pediatric surgery hasn’t properly started yet, but with this guy’s abilities, it probably won’t take more than two or three months.

Just like the NOSES procedures now, initially, patients were begged to undergo it and were given discounts. And now? They’re actively coming here.

How much time has it been?

Basically, it’s like this: never give this guy a chance, if you do, he’ll shine.

"Are you thinking of backing out?" Seeing Wang Chao’s expression, Liu Banxia asked.

"Not backing out, I’ll rush in. Who made me get onto your pirate ship," Wang Chao shook his head.

"That’s the cost of choosing the wrong industry, I don’t know what I was thinking at the time, not picking a lighter job. So now we have to work hard, otherwise we won’t make it."

"Oh, I asked Zhang Xiao, the indicators of the patient who woke up today are still quite good. Planning to do an in-depth evaluation the day after tomorrow to check the brain function status."

"But he thinks there will definitely be some impact in certain areas; after all, the brain tissue swelling was so severe at the time, in such situations there is bound to be some damage."

"Also, her boyfriend hasn’t left her side at all. I heard he arranged ten grand for the hospital fees, which is really commendable."

"Despite not showing signs of waking up at the time, I don’t know how others would fare in that situation. If I asked myself, I might not handle it well."

"Seems like you haven’t been idle, how did you find out all these things?" Liu Banxia asked curiously.

Indeed curious, Wang Chao’s information is definitely cutting-edge. But usually, he doesn’t seem to do much, and yet he has information channels.

"Hehe, just chatting with the nurses, and it’s all clear," Wang Chao said with a smile.

"They deal with these patients every day, so often they know more than us ward doctors. The work is quite dull too, sometimes they need a break."

"Xu Yino, come over, I’ll tell you some good news. Your Teacher Liu is brewing another big plan, you’re in for some good luck."

Upon hearing this, Xu Yino’s face turned sour, even more uncomfortable than hearing about a delayed promotion to attending physician.

"What’s up? It’s like a death sentence," Liu Banxia said.

"Teacher Liu, your big plan really is a death sentence. The more you care for us, the more deadly it is," Xu Yino said with a bitter smile.

Wang Chao chuckled, this isn’t far from the truth.

"Actually, it’s nothing major, just planning to focus on NOSES procedures in the upcoming months and also push for other general surgery projects," Liu Banxia said.

"What we don’t have here, I’ll go ask the inpatient department for. Then Wang Chao can lead you over there, since he’s quite familiar with people over there."

"What’s this? You’re just sending me directly?" Wang Chao was unsettled.

This was just supposed to be some entertainment, and now he’s been caught in the middle of it.

Liu Banxia laughed and nodded, "That’s right. You guys can study, see what surgeries you find unfamiliar, report to Wang Chao, and I’ll go get them."

After saying this, Liu Banxia walked away to the side.

Xu Yino glanced at Wang Chao’s bitter face and shook his head helplessly.

Not enough skill to battle the big boss.
