Tantai Xue had run out of words for the subordinates of the Ling Hua Immortal Spirit. These people went completely against her common sense. They had turned a perfectly fine world into a total mess. And then there was that Ling Hua Immortal Spirit. Despite having all the pros and cons laid out for her, she remained completely indifferent. She just insisted on cowering in that place, letting others manipulate her. She had absolutely no drive to improve. What kind of Evil God was she?

Then there was that Messenger. He didn’t react to anything she said, but the moment she mentioned Spiritual Sources, he would eagerly lean in. Logically, this should be a good thing, but he couldn’t actually collect the Spiritual Sources. It had been years since they agreed on the one million, yet more than half of it was still stuck in limbo. Couldn’t he just manage his operations to scale up and then start receiving them?

Such a group of people should have faded into dust. After all, even under the prosperous reign of the Immortal Sects, there was no path for them to walk. Yet, defying all logic, they seemed to be flourishing. The world shouldn’t work like this.

Shaking her head with a sigh, she reviewed the list and asked, "There are quite a few Evil God spies hidden within the Sect. Isn’t this highly dangerous for them?"

"It’s not very dangerous. These people can’t access the core secrets. The vast majority of them only turned to believing in Evil Gods because their futures looked bleak," Tantai Xiaotian said.

"Judging from the basic intelligence, they are all ordinary spies. I wonder if there are any special ones among them." Tantai Xue pondered for a moment before continuing, "Let’s observe the Messenger’s reaction first. If he needs this, I’ll dig deeper. Rooting out spies is my specialty.

"When the time comes and I dig up a special spy, who knows? The other party might be ecstatic.

"However, that depends on whether he has enough information to offer in return; otherwise, there’s no need to help him root out spies."

"Before hunting for spies, it would be best to get closer to Ji Hao first," Tantai Xiaotian advised.

"Not a problem. I’ve already applied to be a Magic Skill instructor at the Inner Sect courtyard. It just so happens that I’ll be cooperating with Ji Hao to guide combat training. Meeting him will be easy; we just need to let nature take its course," Tantai Xue said confidently.

Pausing slightly, she added, "Besides, I’ll also be able to meet that Messenger and see what he’s really made of to be so wildly unconventional."

Jiang Man didn’t leave the courtyard until the afternoon. Every student had to spar with Ji Hao once, in addition to fighting amongst themselves. This allowed the instructors to observe them more closely. Only after taking detailed notes did they conclude the day’s lesson.

It was worth noting that Mr. Yan also participated in the sparring. When she left, her complexion didn’t look too good. Presumably, she was burdened with tasks as well. Just like them, she had to focus on her Cultivation. However, drafting individualized Cultivation plans would take some time, considering there were over twenty people in the courtyard. Therefore, for the time being, the training simply focused on controlling Spiritual Qi and exercising the Primordial Spirit.

As for Jiang Man, he decided to focus on his advancement first.

Five days later.

Jiang Man spent ten Elixirs and successfully opened his seventh Gourd. He advanced to the Seventh Layer. All that was left was to fill up this seventh Gourd completely, wait for his Cultivation to improve, and then open the eighth Gourd to advance again.

At this moment, Jiang Man felt his Primordial Spirit Perfection flickering, looking as if it were about to overflow. His Physical Body and Cultivation vaguely felt as if they were nearing their limits. If he forcefully tried to open the eighth Gourd now, his Physical Body wouldn’t be able to bear it, and he would suffer Qi Deviation.

That day, Jiang Man went to Ji Meng’s residence early in the morning.

"Young Master Jiang, you’re up this early?" Ji Meng was a little surprised to see him.

"I came to go to the courtyard together with Miss Ji Meng," Jiang Man said.

Afterward, the two walked toward the courtyard together.

On their way, however, they happened to run into Miao Yulin and Qi Xi, who were also walking.

Qi Xi jumped in fright when she saw them.

Miao Yulin, on the other hand, smiled. "What a coincidence. You guys are walking too?"

"It is quite a coincidence. Why are you two walking as well?" Jiang Man asked, wondering why two completely unrelated people had inexplicably joined their path.

"We were waiting to conveniently bump into Ji An, but it seems he isn’t walking today," Miao Yulin said with a hint of pity. She paused, then turned to look at Jiang Man. "Tell me, why is he intentionally avoiding me? Am I not pretty enough?"

Jiang Man nodded. "Whether you’re pretty or not mainly depends on who you’re comparing yourself to. Especially when you stand close to us, you pale in comparison. So yes, you aren’t pretty."

Miao Yulin froze, clearly not expecting this answer. She had only been polite, yet he had taken it seriously. He actually dared to say she wasn’t pretty.

She then turned her head toward Ji Meng. "But it seems to me that not many people are looking at Miss Ji Meng either."

"That’s because I don’t have a hobby of putting myself on display for others to gawk at," Ji Meng replied with a smile.

With that, Jiang Man and Ji Meng quickened their pace and left.

Miao Yulin stared at Qi Xi beside her in astonishment. "Were they openly and subtly mocking me just now?"

"It just proves that your behavior hasn’t affected them at all," Qi Xi said earnestly. "Are you still going to dress like this?"

"Of course I am. Why wouldn’t I? Does it not look good?" Miao Yulin asked.

"It looks too good," Qi Xi said helplessly. "So much so that even some Ancient Cultivators can’t help but steal a few glances at you."

"Then I’m just helping them! I’m making them realize that their weaknesses are far too obvious and need to be overcome as soon as possible," Miao Yulin said with a laugh. "Put it that way, and I’ve provided them with a lot of help on their Cultivation journey. Keep in mind that I’m not even using any Charm Techniques right now. If I actually did, they’d be affected even more.

"If I were from the Demon Race and used Charm Techniques while fighting them, they’d probably meet a bitter end in a foreign land, having never experienced anything like it before."

She paused, gazing in the direction Jiang Man and Ji Meng had left, and said, "Don’t mind their mockery right now. A person might be able to restrain themselves for a moment, but not necessarily for a day, a year, or a decade.

"If it happens enough times, and the people around them refuse to let them look, who wouldn’t start glancing elsewhere?

"Human nature is a complicated thing."

"Then why is Ji An avoiding you? Does he not like looking?" Qi Xi asked.

"Perhaps he likes sinking in so deep that he can’t extricate himself," Miao Yulin said with a radiant smile. Seeing Qi Xi’s deadpan expression, she sighed helplessly and added, "I’m just kidding. That man is incredibly shrewd. Who knows what kind of wicked schemes he’s cooking up?"
