Chapter 550: Chapter 303: You Might Not Be Able to Kill Us All Before Your Spiritual Qi Runs Out

Looking at Tao He and the other two, Jiang Man felt they were lacking something. They had stammered for ages without making a coherent point, forcing him to take the initiative and speak.

It made him miss Li Yuan. Li Yuan was the most eloquent person he had ever met. Unfortunately, his Cultivation speed was too slow; even now, he was still in the Outer Sect. Whether he could enter the Inner Sect was highly uncertain. If the opportunity arose, he should probably offer the man a few pointers. Perhaps their paths would cross again in the future.

Pushing those thoughts aside, Jiang Man turned his attention back to his Magic Skill. Powerful lightning was currently wreaking havoc, crushing the surrounding Demon Beasts across a massive area. Endless wails of agony filled the air.

Faced with such an Attack, even the female Demon Beast from earlier felt a deep sense of shock. Only now did they realize that he hadn’t actually known any Primordial Spirit Skills before. If he had possessed a powerful Magic Skill from the start, all of them combined wouldn’t have lasted long against him, let alone breaking the Array and opening a breach.

The Magic Skill ended, and the lightning dissipated. A large number of Demon Beasts felt thoroughly exhausted. However, they didn’t fall. Instead, they stood back up and continued to Attack the Array.

The female Demon Beast struggled to her feet. She was already heavily injured and had thought her doom was sealed. Who could have known that while the lightning seemed terrifyingly grand, its actual power would be somewhat lacking? Or perhaps its sheer area of effect caused it to fail in completely wiping out the enemy. Even Golden Core Level Demon Beasts could withstand a few strikes from it.

She looked at Jiang Man and couldn’t help but let out a weak laugh. "It seems that as a Body Cultivator, even if you learn a Magic Skill, you still can’t stop the Array from being destroyed. You may be strong, but you won’t necessarily be able to kill all of us before your Spiritual Qi runs dry."

Hearing this, Jiang Man replied curiously, "I’m actually a Magic Cultivator."

The female Demon Beast froze for a moment but quickly regained her composure. "So what? For a Magic Skill with such a massive range, the Spiritual Qi consumption must be astronomical. How many more times can you cast it?"

Jiang Man looked at her, formed a hand seal, and cast the skill.

Immediately, thunder roared. A thousand layers of lightning blanketed all the Demon Beasts.

This time, before the lightning could even dissipate, Jiang Man cast the skill again. Once, twice, three times, five times, ten times.

The female Demon Beast was shocked to the point of numbness. It wasn’t until every single Demon Beast attacking the Array was completely annihilated that she finally looked at Jiang Man in horror. "You..."

"I am very good at Magic Skills," Jiang Man reminded her kindly.

SPURT!

The female Demon Beast spat out a mouthful of blood and collapsed to the ground. She stared at Jiang Man in absolute despair.

Gritting her teeth, she said weakly, "We were so close to succeeding. Why did you have to appear here?"

Even during the Immortal Sect’s great golden age, a person like Jiang Man had to be an extreme rarity. Because of that, she felt a deep sense of indignation. If it had been any other Primordial Spirit Cultivator, the outcome would never have been like this.

"But I am here. There’s nothing that can be done about it," Jiang Man replied calmly.

The female Demon Beast glared at him. "Are we in the wrong? How many of us demons were born right here in this place?

"The Immortal Sect brutally cages us! We only wanted to fight for freedom for ourselves and our descendants.

"What did we do wrong to deserve being imprisoned and tortured by the Immortal Sect, forever denied the light of day?"

She spoke with tragic grief and misery. However, Jiang Man merely looked at her impassively and asked curiously, "Did you use a Charm Technique in that sentence?"

The female Demon Beast fell silent.

Jiang Man added earnestly, "A Magic Master of mine taught me about it, so I noticed the shift in Spiritual Qi, along with how your expression and movements coordinated with it."

The female Demon Beast remained silent. Finally, she spat out another mouthful of blood and lost consciousness.

Behind him, Tao He and the others were also struck speechless. The whole situation felt bizarre. With the leading Demon Beast defeated, the remaining survivors immediately turned tail and fled as fast as they could.

Only then did Jiang Man speak up. "I suppose that counts as repelling them. Clean up these Demon Beasts and check for any survivors.

"If any of them possess sentience, capture them for questioning. If they are mindless, just let them go."

He paused for a moment before adding, "Then, take a look around and see if we’ve been locked in."

Tao He and the others didn’t hesitate for a second and immediately got to work. Jiang Man’s continuous barrage of lightning had left them utterly awe-struck. They genuinely felt that being able to fight alongside him was a massive honor. Furthermore, they knew that none of his orders were ever arbitrary; every command held a deeper meaning.

Soon after, they confirmed Jiang Man’s suspicion. They couldn’t get out. They were completely locked inside this small area, trapped firmly as if within an invisible cage.

When he received the news, Jiang Man wasn’t surprised. "It’s an Abyssal Evil God. Fighting has probably broken out in other areas as well."

Tao He and the other two were shocked. An Abyssal Evil God? They didn’t know much about Evil Gods, but for such a massive, widespread operation... did the Sect really not know about it? Or had Senior Brother Jiang Man simply failed to notify them in time? Too embarrassed to ask, they merely inquired about what they should do now.

Jiang Man looked at them and replied as if it were obvious, "Just hold down the fort here and cultivate."

The three of them fell silent, wondering why he was still telling them to cultivate at a time like this.

Jiang Man paid them no mind and resumed his Cultivation. There was undoubtedly a massive war raging outside, and a single Primordial Spirit Cultivator like him absolutely could not change the tide of battle. He only hoped that the battleground of the true powerhouses wouldn’t shift over to their area. Otherwise, no matter how strong he was within the Same Tier, he would end up dying here. Afterward, he continued consuming Elixirs to elevate his Spirit.

Five days later.

Tao He and the other two, having already cleaned up the battlefield and restored the Array, witnessed terrifying forces booming across the sky. Some of the shockwaves rippled down to their area. The massive fluctuations of power even caused their Array to tremble. Fortunately, it only lasted for a fleeting moment, but it was clear just how fiercely the battles were raging outside.

Because of Jiang Man’s presence, the Demon Beasts had completely abandoned this direction, realizing that breaking through here was practically impossible. As for what was happening elsewhere, they had no way of knowing. However, as long as they saw Jiang Man cultivating in the courtyard, the fear in their hearts would dissipate significantly.

Late February.

During this period, their Array had been shattered by power fluctuations three separate times.
