.....

Tolu reached inward toward the Dungeon Heart.

I have it.

The Heart responded almost immediately.

The Solace Tree?

Yes.

Good. Teleport it to the dungeon.

Tolu glanced at the small tree he had selected from the Aróni’s treasury. Even now, he was still somewhat surprised that something so valuable could simply be carried away from that ancient place.

He focused on the connection between himself and the dungeon.

A faint green glow surrounded the Solace Tree.

Then it vanished.

Far away, within his dungeon, the tree appeared safely beside the Dungeon Heart.

I will plant it, the Heart said. Once you leave the open dungeon, I will examine it properly and tell you what other uses it possesses.

Tolu nodded internally.

Don’t damage it.

There was a brief pause.

I am aware.

Tolu smiled.

He turned his attention back to the path ahead.

He and Kenny continued deeper into the second floor.

The surroundings gradually changed as they moved away from the more open areas. Trees became denser, their trunks thicker and their branches intertwining overhead until they formed a natural canopy.

Soon, they were walking through a forest.

Sunlight filtered through the leaves in scattered patches, illuminating the grass beneath their feet.

Kenny suddenly laughed.

"This trip was worth it."

Tolu glanced at him.

Kenny lifted the pouch containing the treasures they had collected.

"Think about it. Spirit Crystals, the rewards from that ancient place, and the things we can still find on this floor. We haven’t even finished exploring yet."

He touched the jade bottle containing the Spirit Tempering Potion.

"And I have this."

His excitement was obvious.

Tolu couldn’t help smiling.

"I know."

Kenny looked at him.

"You’re not excited?"

"I am."

Tolu thought about the Solace Tree sitting safely inside his dungeon.

More than anything else they had obtained, that tree fascinated him.

It wasn’t simply valuable.

It was something he had never seen before, and the Heart itself had been interested in it.

"Especially about the Solace Tree," Tolu admitted.

Kenny nodded.

"I knew it."

"But we shouldn’t get carried away."

Kenny’s smile faded slightly.

Tolu looked ahead through the trees.

"We came here to raid the dungeon for resources. We have already gained more than we expected. We should keep our heads straight, gather what we can, and leave."

Kenny sighed.

"Fine."

Tolu chuckled.

"There’s nothing wrong with being excited. Just don’t let the excitement make you careless."

Kenny nodded.

They continued through the forest.

For several minutes, everything remained quiet.

Then—

"Help!"

A girl’s voice suddenly echoed through the trees.

Tolu stopped.

Kenny froze beside him.

"Help!"

The cry came again.

This time it was louder.

Tolu immediately turned toward the direction of the voice.

"That way."

Kenny was already moving.

They rushed between the trees, branches whipping past them as they followed the desperate shouting.

"Help!"

The voice came again.

Closer this time.

Tolu tightened his grip around his hammer.

Whatever was happening ahead, they were about to find out.

....

The deeper they went, the louder the girl’s cries became.

"Help!"

Tolu pushed through a wall of leaves, Kenny right behind him.

They both stopped.

A young woman was trapped in a clearing ahead.

Thick vines had wrapped themselves around her body and pinned her against the trunk of a large tree. Several smaller vines coiled around her arms and legs, holding her firmly in place whenever she struggled.

Her orange hair was tangled and scattered around her face.

Her clothes were badly torn and disheveled, with large sections of the fabric hanging loosely from her body.

Her upper clothing had been ripped almost completely away, leaving much of her large caramel colored breasts exposed. A sight of attraction for the two young men

She had a mature figure and a pretty face,

A face depicting how terrified she was. But despite the situation her body and pose were giving off vibes that didn’t depict the situation.

Her areola almost pulling Kenny’s eyes out of their sockets.

"Please!"

Her eyes widened when she saw them.

"Help me!"

Kenny immediately reached for his sword.

"Tolu—"

"I see her."

Tolu’s eyes moved across the clearing.

Something felt wrong.

The vines weren’t ordinary plants.

They were moving.

Slowly.

Almost imperceptibly.

One of the vines tightened around the woman’s waist when she tried to pull herself free.

She cried out.

"Don’t move!"

Tolu stepped forward.

The woman looked at him desperately.

"Please... get them off me."

Kenny took another step.

Then Tolu raised one arm, stopping him.

"Wait."

Kenny frowned.

"What?"

Tolu stared at the surrounding trees.

There were no beasts in sight.

No signs of a battle.

No obvious reason for the vines to have captured her.

Yet something had clearly happened here.

The woman struggled again.

"Please! Hurry!"

Tolu tightened his grip around his hammer.

He didn’t know what had happened.

But whatever had trapped her was still nearby.

And if they weren’t careful, they might become its next victims.

Tolu studied the vines for another moment before looking at Kenny.

"Don’t cut the vines around her."

Kenny glanced at him.

"Then how do I free her?"

"Cut them at the base. Start with the ones attached to the ground and work your way around the tree. If you cut the ones wrapped around her, they could tighten or injure her."

Kenny nodded.

"Got it."

He moved carefully around the clearing, keeping his sword away from the woman as he cut through the thick vines where they emerged from the earth.

One after another, they fell limp.

The vines around her arms loosened.

Then her legs.

Finally, the last one around her waist released its grip.

The woman stumbled forward.

Tolu caught her before she fell.

"Easy."

"I... I’m fine."

She steadied herself, then looked at the two men.

"Thank you."

Her voice carried genuine relief.

"You saved me."

Tolu nodded.

"No problem."

He stepped back.

It was only then that the woman noticed something strange.

Both Tolu and Kenny had deliberately turned their faces away from her.

She frowned.

"Why are you—"

She looked down.

Her expression immediately changed.

Her already damaged clothing had become even more disheveled during her struggle with the vines, leaving her far more exposed than she had realized.

Her large breasts practically had no covering.

Her face flushed.

"Oh!"

She quickly covered herself with both hands.

"I’m sorry! I didn’t realize..."

"It’s fine," Tolu said, still looking away.

Kenny cleared his throat.

"Yeah. It’s... fine."

Tolu reached into his belongings and pulled out one of the spare coats he had brought from the dungeon.

He held it out without turning toward her.

"Here."

She hesitated before taking it.

"Thank you."

She quickly wrapped the coat around herself, fastening it as best she could.

After making sure she was properly covered, she looked at the two men again.

"I apologize."

"You don’t need to," Tolu said.

He finally turned back toward her.

"Can you walk?"

"Yes."

"Good."

Tolu glanced deeper into the forest.

"How did you end up here?"

The woman adjusted the coat around herself before answering.

"I was with my team. We were heading toward the third floor, but we got separated."

She looked back toward the trees.

"I’ve been trying to find my way back to them. I thought I was following the trail toward the passage to the third floor, but I must have taken a wrong turn."

Kenny’s expression suddenly brightened.

"The third floor?"

The woman nodded.

"That’s where we were headed."

Kenny looked at Tolu with obvious excitement.

"Then we’re going the same way!"

Tolu gave him a sideways look.

Kenny grinned.

"It’s convenient."

The woman looked between them.

"You’re heading there too?"

"Yes," Tolu replied.

Kenny was already turning toward the direction they had been traveling.

"Then you can come with us. We know the way."

The woman looked relieved.

"Thank you. I was beginning to think I’d never find my team."

Tolu nodded.

"Let’s go, then."

The three of them left the clearing together.

Tolu walked ahead, Kenny beside him, while the rescued, large breasted woman followed close behind.

Two friends and a stranger they had pulled from the vines.

For a while, they continued through the forest without much conversation.

The woman stayed a few steps behind Tolu and Kenny, occasionally glancing around as if worried that she might lose the path again.

Eventually, she broke the silence.

"I should probably introduce myself properly."

Kenny glanced back.

She gave them a small smile.

"My name is Titi."

"Titi," Kenny repeated. "I’m Kenny."

He pointed ahead.

"And that’s Tolu."

Tolu gave her a brief nod.

"Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too."

They continued walking.

After a moment, Titi spoke again.

"There are five of us in our group. Three guys and two girls, including me."

Kenny looked back at her.

"Are they all your friends?"

"Mostly. We’ve been traveling together for some time."

She smiled faintly.

"We’re not some famous adventurer group or anything."

"What are you doing in the dungeon?" Tolu asked.

"Trying to make a living."

Her answer was simple.

"We take whatever jobs we can get. Escorting merchants when we find work, hunting weaker beasts, gathering resources, exploring open dungeons when we can afford the entrance fee."

She glanced down at the coat Tolu had given her.

"Basically, whatever pays."

Kenny chuckled.

"That sounds familiar."

Titi smiled.

"We’re not particularly strong either. None of us comes from an important family, and nobody is waiting to hand us a fortune."

"So you’re just trying to survive," Tolu said.

"More or less."

She looked ahead through the trees.

"We’d like to become stronger eventually. Maybe make enough money to stop worrying about our next meal. Maybe have a place of our own someday."

There was no grand ambition in her voice.

No talk of becoming legendary adventurers or reaching the highest cultivation realm.

Just the quiet desire for a better life.

Kenny nodded.

"I understand that."

Titi looked between the two of them.

"And you?"

Kenny grinned.

"I’m trying to become a very successful merchant."

Tolu glanced at him.

Kenny ignored him.

"Very successful."

Titi laughed softly.

"What about you, Tolu?"

Tolu was quiet for a moment.

"I have my own plans."

Kenny snorted.

"That means he’s not telling you."

Tolu gave him a look.

Titi laughed again.

"Fair enough."

The three continued along the forest path.

For now, they were simply three adventurers heading toward the third floor.
