The dragon's harem

Chapter 2051: Fake Or Real?

“Taurus, what are you doing here? I thought you were deployed on the A1 Front.” Amaterasu looked at the titanic dragon, and he smiled. “That section is stable, and I got a day off, so I came to check what’s going on. Otherwise, I would’ve filed a complaint with your angels to hunt this little fucker down.”

“Watch the way you speak.” Kali growled at him, and Taurus burst laughing. “Why? Am I wrong calling him a little fucker? That brat had gotten more women than the entire void dragon race combined.” He shifted his massive eyes down toward Arad, “So, how about you stop abusing what little magic I got? Swapping the constellation on and off several times a second is a bit much.”

Arad barely dodged some of the butterflies before throwing a glare at the massive dragon, immediately understanding that even at his full power, he probably won’t be able to defeat this hulking titan.

[Don’t start a fight with him.] Nyar whispered into Arad’s mind, [While most void dragons act like massive carriers for the gods’ soldiers and their supplies, this one charges headfirst and rips colonies apart with his bare hands. Even in terms of size, you’ll look like an ant compared to him.]

Can Taurus alone kill an Avatar of Nyar? It would be a close fight, but the Avatar should emerge as the winner at the end. Of course, Arad couldn’t just do that, since it would turn Amaterasu against him immediately. Taurus was an old and powerful veteran of the war.

“Kali! Can you drag him away? He shouldn’t interfere in this fight.” As Arad spoke, a titanic golden hand grabbed Taurus by the tail, and Kali glared at him with a smile. “Heard him.”

Then, before Taurus could say another word, he was thrown away at blinding speed, sent hurling through the void toward his post in the region A1. But with a single flap of his wings, he flew right back toward Arad and landed beside the army of butterflies.

“If this much could push me back, then I wouldn’t have survived in the war for so long.” He looked at Kali with a smug smile. “How much was that throw? 30%, 40% of your raw strength?”

She sighed, “Just a third. I didn’t want to rip your tail off since you aren’t that good at healing.” She then looked at Yog, “Can you disable that cube?”

Yog started thinking. The sealing cube she gave Arad and Gojo in the past was the one thing allowing them to interact with other void dragons without getting repelled due to the magic of the Dracorage Mythics. She can disable that now, but the result would be Arad getting flung back since he is lighter than Taurus.

“Arad would be the one hurt, not Taurus.” She sighed… “So, let’s leave it for her to deal with.”

Standing behind Taurus was a black dragon that looked to be even bigger, nastier, and even more horrifying. “Your balls seem to have healed well and grown bigger since the last time I ripped them off.” That was Arad’s mother, and with a single swat of her arm, she sent Taurus flying back with a large wound on his chest.

The history between them was ancient, and it was the same between her and all other higher void dragons. Taurus had tried to court her once in the past, and it resulted in her mauling him and leaving him at death’s door. She was the reason his magic circuits got crippled in the first place.

How did they even get close in the first place? Well, Taurus kept harassing her from afar, so she just brute-forced herself closer and beat him up. The repulsion wasn’t strong enough to keep a motivated Violet away for long.

As Taurus held his wound, he looked at her with a smile. “The Great Empress herself. I didn’t expect you to show up in person. What’s an honor to see you after… a couple thousand years.”

She glared at him, and then sighed, “Did you really just show up because Arad abused your power?”

Taurus became silent for a second, and then glared toward Arad, then at the army of butterflies, then at Amaterasu in the sky. He came here for another reason, in reality, not just his power being abused. He came because he thought whoever was abusing his power was in mortal danger.

Alongside feeling his power being drained, he felt a familiar trace of eldritch magic, the one that belonged to Nyar’s avatars.

Taurus had come because he thought someone, probably of the gods’ armies, was fighting against an Avatar of Nyar and abusing Taurus’s power as a call for help. But when he arrived and saw Amaterasu, Kali, and even Yog here, he thought they had already dealt with the avatar.

He didn’t want to say that before since it was shameful for a soldier to arrive late to the battlefield after everything was over and claim to be there to help. He had failed to arrive in time, and due to that, Amaterasu and Kali had to step in; he didn’t even notice Kossuth and Zaleria, who were by their side, with how much power those two had.

“You two…” Yog glared at them with her staff out. “The repulsion is getting a bit out of hand, and I can’t keep protecting you any longer; one of you has to leave.” She then threw a glance at Taurus, and he sighed.

“Fine, I’ll leave since you all dealt with the Avatar before I arrived. See you later.” And with a single flap of his wings, he left, holding his wounds tight.

But that sentence had gotten everyone worried, terrified, and thinking. Did Taurus just say he sensed an Avatar of Nyar? That one that Arad pulled? Wasn’t it a fake one made just to look like an Avatar? Since when could he just summon an Avatar of Nyar? When did he even get it?

[Arad, they are about to find out I’m a real avatar, you can use all types of eldritch magic, right? So, cancel Taurus and use my tentacles to knock a few of the butterflies down. That would make them think that Taurus had mistaken the copied magic for my true self]

Arad immediately expanded his void magic forward like tentacles to use Nyar’s eldritch magic, and while his improvised work was sloppy, Nyar inside helped by releasing some of his eldritch magic out for Arad to release outside and make it seem like his own.

While that alone couldn’t sell it to Amaterasu and Kali, what did the trick was Yog sighing. “We should probably tell them that Arad can use eldritch magic. Otherwise, many would just show up to fight when there is no real danger.”

As their suspicions began to clear, Arad now had another problem to deal with, as a titanic purple sun flashed out of nowhere behind him and got a direct hit in. It happened so fast and out of nowhere that even Violet didn’t notice it until Arad got hit, and Eris landed at the edge of her butterflies’ army with a large smile on her face, two massive plasma wings, and eyes burning with endless divine flames.

“It’s time for round two, my love.” She flashed forward, and Arad teleported out of the sun before it burned him to ash, only to get grabbed by Eris, swung around, and then punched to the ground. Even he was surprised at her raw power, and could barely resist being flung around like a rag doll.

He sat up, blood seeping out of his mouth as he smiled.

“That hurts.”

She looked at him with a grin, “Just how I love it.” She took a stance.

Amaterasu looked down. “Finally. She is here.” She then looked at Violet. “That Eris is the first divine who specializes in killing, she isn’t death, she is its bringer.”

Kali poked Violet with her massive golden statue. “Yo, she is beating your son. Won’t you get angry at her as well?”

Violet looked at her. “Why would I? She is his wife; let him deal with her. You’re one of his wives; shouldn’t you be the one acting?”

Kali shrugged, “I guess violence runs in our blood.”

On the other hand, when Taurus returned to his battalion, he told everyone how he left, expecting to see a galactic battle between an Archon and an Avatar of Nyar, only to find Orion’s little fucker having a love quarrel with one of his wives while being watched by Amaterasu, Kali, Yog, Kossuth, and even the war hero Zaleria.
