The dragon's harem

Chapter 2012: A Part of A Greater Whole

After a long moment of silence, Soi Mi looked around, tapped on her head, and then growled. “Guh, it really feels weird. To not be…”

Liana looked at her, “What? You look calmer than ever. You are supposed to be loud, horny, eccentric, narcissistic, and insufferable.”

Isabella sat beside Kali and leaned back with a smile. “In short, her soul is a part of me, and the crazy personality she had was because of that. Don’t worry, I took all of that power back, so you can say that whatever ailed her mind is now gone, and she can live a normal life.” She then scratched her chin, “The only problem…”

Soi Mi sat on the ground with both of her legs crossed, “I lost all of my power.”

Liana looked at her and indeed could sense a soul power of just over a hundred, the level of a commoner. Soi had been a Great Grandmaster before, a powerhouse that could shake the entire realm.

“So, she took all of your power?” She pointed at Isabella, and Soi Mi shook her head.

“No, that was HER power. In fact, even I, I’m a part of her.” She lifted her arms, “Even me, I should be a part of her, but she cut me off so I can talk to you like this.”

“I can leave her like this. She still has the potential, so training and growing stronger quickly is possible.” Isabella then froze, blinked several times, and Soi Mi pointed at her with a shocked face.

“That’s right! He can help!” The two of them cried, and Liana looked at Soi Mi.

“Who?”

“GOD!” Soi Mi replied with a straight face.

“God? The great world tree?” She tilted her head, and Soi Mi shook her head. “No, I mean GOD himself. Great Original Deity, The Nuclear Chaos, The Nothing Before All, The Alpha and Omega…” She then pointed at the door, where Arad had just walked in. “HIM!”

He blinked and looked around the room. All that he could see was Isabelle’s powerful soul, and a single tiny thread connected from it to Soi Mi’s body. Soi Mi herself wasn’t alive; she didn’t have a soul of her own, and that body she was using was controlled by Isabelle’s soul, just an extension of her.

Kali sighed, “Isabelle, would you mind fixing her brain.” She pointed at Soi Mi, “Your powers are still so weak that your creations aren’t even finished.”

After blinking for a few times, Isabelle sucked Soi Mi back into her body and sighed. “Sorry, she probably needs tuning a bit. I’ll get her out later.” They can’t have Soi Mi babbling about AO to everyone.

Eris sighed, “She was looking for Arad before all of this.” She pretended to ignore the whole thing as just the rambling of an imperfect creation, but Arad had already told her about him potentially being AO, and this just confirmed that both Kali and Isabelle knew.

“Just… get Soi Mi back!” Liana growled as she jumped down to the arena to check on her array, fix the place, and make sure the tournament keeps going. There was no use worrying about Soi Mi if those monsters were involved. Liana was fully aware that with her power, she couldn’t do anything against Arad and his women, let alone get them to release Soi Mi by force.

But at the same time, an argument was taking place inside Isabelle’s mind.

“Listen, don’t ever mention AO ever again in front of anyone, unless I let you. You’ll cause a cosmic disaster if you don’t watch your mouth.” Isabella pointed at Soi Mi in the middle of the endless field of fluffy teddy bears.

“Is this our inner world?” Soi Mi instead was focused on the strange inner world.

“No, this is my pay room. Sowing teddy bears and making clothes for them is a great practice for a couturière.” Isabelle replied with a smile, and then picked one of the teddy bears. “Look, cute, aren’t they?”

Soi Mi looked around, “I prefer dolls.”

Isabella laughed, “Well, each Shard of me prefers something different. I believe there is one that prefers living humans, and I hope we don’t meet her soon.” She then cleared her throat. “Anyway, I’ll find a way to grant you independence from my soul, so for now, don’t mention anything about Arad.”

“Yeah, I wanted to ask. Since I’m a part of you, we’re one and the same… what independence would I get?” She tilted her head, “I mean… it is impossible for me to be separated from you.” She then smiled, “You aren’t going to have Arad claps you a few times and then POP! I come out rolling fresh.”

Isabelle shook her head, “No, the memories and life you lived as Soi Mi are very much real; those memories can be crystallized, and if I got a breath of Arad’s soul, I can conjure you a fresh soul and separate you from myself.”

Soi Mi’s eyes lit like a light bulb, “Ah! The same way he made Adam, or the way Eve popped out of Adam’s rib!”

“Spot on, so now, please behave.” She clapped her hand, and in the next moment, Isabelle was back on the couch, looking right at the arena’s window. Eris was sitting beside her, and Kali was on her lap. Arad seems to have already gone down to watch the fight from the gate, and Liana had just returned and was jumping into the room through the window.

“Need me to get you up to speed?” Eris looked at her, and Isabelle shook her head. “No, I got everything I need to know from Soi Mi’s memories.” She then summoned her with a single flick.

Soi Mi landed, and her eyes flashed pink as she looked around, finally setting her gaze on Liana. “Liana, sorry about that mess earlier. I ended up destroying the arena.”

Liana stared at her, “No, more importantly, are you all right?”

Soi Mi shook her head, “Of course! Beside losing all of my power, I’m as healthy as a horse.” She then pointed back at Isabelle. “How do I explain it best. She was an extremely powerful and ancient Master, but once upon a time, she made that little girl angry, and got torn apart by her.”

Kali waved her hand to Liana. “Yeah, I ripped her apart piece by piece.”

“After ripping her apart, she scattered those pieces across the world, so Isabelle won’t heal up. But what no one expected was for those pieces to stay alive, eventually take a human form, breed with the mortals, and start hopping into the future through their lineage.” She puffed her chest. “In short, that power returned to her now, and I’m finally free with my own fate.”

Liana looked at Soi Mi with a worried face. “The day you were born, the entire ground shook, and the masters nearby all felt your birth. You were born a powerhouse… are you saying it is because of her?”

“Yeah, that power wasn’t mine. It was hers.” She looked a bit sad, “The monstrous talent and potential I had was all the power of her shard, and I’ve just built my entire cultivation based on that power, which means…”

“Now that the base disappeared, your entire foundation collapsed, and you lost all of your cultivated power.” She sat down, “You’ll have to start from the beginning.”

“Not really, I already cultivated once, so my growth speed should be explosive now.” She looked around the room, where the terrified Ki was still scribbling her technique, pretending that she didn’t hear or see anything.

“I can use her technique!” As Soi Mi pointed out, Isabelle immediately shot that idea down. “Sorry, but you don’t have a clear soul of your own; that technique shouldn’t work for you.”

Soi Mi looked sad for a second, but then quickly turned cheerful again, “Well, time to grind again from Zero… But who would fight for me in the finals?”

“Yeah, we probably should solve that for now.” Liana rubbed her eyebrows, “At least you’re alive and fine… For a moment there, I thought you’d start a fight with Arad and get killed either by him or those two.”

“Hehehe! Sorry about that… I saw him and got a bit too excited.”
