Chapter 1896: Arad’s New Powers

Chapter 1896: Arad’s New Powers

The red wizard’s face twisted, and his skin turned bright red as he fell to his knees, puking and shitting his bloodied organs out as Lilia’s spell vibrated his organs so badly that they liquefied. Then, before his face could hit the floor, she teleported the corpse away and cleaned the blood with a single teleportation spell, leaving the place looking as clean as if no one had been killed a second ago there.

“Are you okay?” Glintlock asked with a terrified face. He had just saw and heard all of Lilia’s bones shatter, so it was strange to see her acting like nothing happened.

“He broke all of my bones, but I could heal them immediately with holy magic. As the Archmagus, what kind of coward would I be if I don’t let a wizard take the first hit on me?” She smiled, “And, I also always declare my spells before casting them aloud, that why I give them a better chance to counter.”

She floated toward Merlin. “And, as you see here. Kill all red wizards, train and help new mages, and make sure to keep an eye on the local monsters’ population. And since I’m here, I’ll teach all casters here some useful spells.” She looked at Nina, “If you’ve got a chalkboard here, bring it forth! The class starts now!”

For a week, Lilia would stay at the guild and teach adventurers, young and old alike, how to understand mana, see magic, and cast spells. In the process, she found several talented mages, but that is a story for another time.

Merlin left Lilia in Nina’s hands and returned to the castle. As much as she wanted to keep a close eye on the halfling menace, she was already too busy with more important matters, mainly, discovering the extent of power Arad’s new incarnation has.

The ground shattered, the mountains quaked, and the clouds dispersed as a massive blast radiated outward from a harrowing clash. When the dust settled down, two people stood staring at each other.

One of Arad’s draconic incarnations faced his Nymph’s incarnation, and the two of them had already destroyed enough land for a small kingdom. Luckily, this fight was taking place inside one of Merlin’s labyrinths, which allowed the two to get a bit serious but not go into an all-out battle.

The Nymph was just as physically powerful and durable as Arad’s other incarnations, meaning that even with her gentle look, she was powerful enough to bench mountains and rip a god’s spine out of their back with her bare hands.

She also had access to most of Arad’s draconic powers and could even unleash a void breath if she wanted. But, no matter how much Arad tried, he couldn’t turn her into a guy using the [Virgo] constellation.

That constellation should’ve been able to switch genders with ease, so Arad had to investigate the very nature of Nymphs, and he discovered why they could be so powerful.

It wasn’t that the constellation didn’t work; it was working. But with the beauty of Arad’s Nymph, it would take the constellation at least a thousand years to translate all of her features. And the spell usually crashed minutes after he activated it.

If the world was a game, a Nymph would be a character with a stupidly dense character model that takes ages to load, like if most characters had 4k texture, a Nymph would have something 9000k texture and crash the entire pc any time you look in her direction.

Which meant the only possible options to change her appearance were clothes, illusion magic, and makeup. Of course, clothes didn’t help, and makeup wasn’t even an option, so Arad tried illusion magic.

It somewhat worked; Arad managed to make the Nymph look like him, but that was just an illusion covering her body. When he touched her, that woman’s body was still there, and even her shadow still looked like that of a woman.

“Am I that bad with illusion magic… I guess I’ll have Merlin teach me about it later.” Arad sighed. Both he and Nymph looked down, growling, “What do I do with this body.” They spoke at the same time.

“Arad!” Merida called as she walked into the area of devastation. “Your mother has arrived, and she asked if your beauty is turned off or on.”

Arad looked at her. “Of course it’s turned off. I haven’t activated it once. What made you think that it was safe for you to come here instead of sending a magic message?”

“Kino is a demon lord of Fugus, so while I use this brain here. My actual processing unit is the entire abyss layer and the fungus that I control.” She smiled as she pointed at her head. “I have hundreds of thousands of spores and infected demons that all can act as extra brainpower for me. So I might only leave with temporary blindness.” She rested her fists on her hips, “But I have to say, you look more like your mother than Yuwaku.”

Merida scratched her chin, “How do I say this. Yuwaku looks more refreshing and gentler, probably thanks to Zephyr’s magic. But you look more… mature? Yes, mature. Yuwaku looks like she is in her late teens, while you look like you’re in your late twenties.”

Arad looked at the Nymph. “No, I look like a three-meter version of mom. Probably since I’ve only got my genetics in here, and I only got my genetics from my mother.”

“So, this is her?” Violet appeared behind Merida and looked at the Nymph with a smile, “And I was just looking to have a daughter.”

Arad sighed, “Then have one. This is me.” She knocked on the Nymph’s head. “The outer shell might look like this, but it’s me inside. I control and see out of those eyes.”

Violent approached the Nymph and gave her a closer look. “I see… quite strange. It has your void power, but also another dark power related to her beauty. The ability to control the void that the worlds swim through.”

“So, you know what that dark matter is.” Arad looked at her, and she shook her head. “I don’t know much, though.”

She lifted her hands, “It is like salt in sea water, it is what holds the universe together, what makes sure the worlds don’t bump into each other, and what separates the void inside the universe from the one outside it.”

“So? What kind of power is it?” Arad spoke through the Nymph, lifted his hand, and tried to sense whatever he could do. “From what I can sense, it has something to do with gravity and matter itself.”

Violet clenched a fist. “I can’t use it, but I might simulate what it could do.” She looked at Arad with a smile. “Clench your teeth.”

Blue flames engulfed her fist, and then burned black. Arad’s eyes opened wide, and sweat rushed down the Nymph’s face as she lifted both of her arms into a boxer’s guard to protect her face and chest.

Violet’s arm shifted down and hit Arad’s exposed belly, sending him flying back with five roaring shockwaves and a burst of burning void and gravity. Arad’s other incarnation grabbed Merida and teleported away, leaving the Nymph alone with his mother.

Violet lifted her dress a bit and exposed her leg up to her upper thighs. “Dark Matter is the sea gravity acts with, so while I can’t control it directly, I can possibly affect it with gravity magic.” She slightly shook her leg, flexed her quads, causing the muscle fibres and striations to show up like scars, and stomped down with all of her might.

As Merlin fell to her knee somewhere else, the entire fabric of gravity inside the labyrinth ceased to work, and the Nymph burst through several mountains before Arad could balance himself.

“How about training with mommy a bit?” She glared at him, and Arad stood with a slightly scared face. “Yeah, why not?”
