The dragon's harem

Chapter 1510 1510: He Must Pay

The moment Arad heard about what happened, he checked on Tyal for a moment, then left her in the care of his other wives as he flew across the whole continent, aiming for the Storm Titans’ kingdom.

The shockwave of his rage had spread across his other three incarnations. The two in the Star Mountain were fine, but the one living with Tina in Yggdrassil’s world almost caused a mass extinction.

At the time, Tina was out, attending her first day in the sect. Everyone was going as expected. She reached the open class, learned the basics, and was about to start giving cultivation a try with everyone else.

The elders of the sect watched carefully. The woman, whom Yggdrassil entrusted with this mission, was already sweating.

She watched as the master got more and more disappointed with Tina’s lack of talent. Tina couldn’t even sense the World Tree energy, let alone control it or begin to apply their lessons.

But then, the sky turned black. It was noon, but it became darker than the darkest of nights. The ground shook, the energy of the whole world contorted and ripped apart, disappearing into nothing. The elder froze, feeling that the world was about to end, something immense had landed, and not even their strongest could hope to stop it.

Everyone panicked, except two. The elder woman and Tina. Tina blinked and looked back. She knew this was Arad’s magic getting out of control. The elder, on the other hand, immediately jumped out of the balcony and landed beside the master, teaching Tina and smacking her to the ground.

“If someone can’t benefit from your lessons, then change them to fit.” As she smacked the master down and knocked her out, the darkness that consumed the world faded away, and the sun emerged once more.

People were still panicking, so the elder woman looked back, “Enough for today! Everyone, you’re dismissed.” She gave Tina a smile and jumped away, disappearing into the inner palace.

When she landed inside, the other elders rushed at her, “What was that?”

“That’s her husband, the World Tree spoke about him. Said that if we wronged his wife, he would wipe this entire world, and she wasn’t joking.”

They all looked at each other, terrified. Some of them had seen Arad escorting Tina from afar. Besides his size, they couldn’t sense any power from him. Of course, that was until their world started crumbling a second ago when he did something.

“I don’t care how talentless she is, or how far-gone her soul is. Find a way, invent something to make her better. Unless you want him to come knocking at our doors!” She growled at them and left.

Tina left as everyone was dismissed and returned to their cottage in the forest. She found Arad sitting outside on a chair, carving some wooden nails.

“Arad, what did happen?” She asked with a worried face, and he looked at her.

“Tyal’s parents were killed, my other Incarnation already reached the Storm Titans to investigate.” He replied in a calm voice.

“How is Tyal doing?” She asked with a pale face, and Arad shook his head, “Not well, Zenia and Malina are trying to calm her down. Everyone else is helping.”

“Should we go check on her?” She approached him, and he shook his head.

“There is no need for that. You can be at ease and focus on learning whatever they can teach you here. My other self has many things to do, though.” He sighed, and Tina sat beside him.

“You should stay with her, no?”

Arad nodded, “I know that, but I’ve got a better thing to do. We know who killed them and where to find him.” Arad looked at Tina with a passive face, “Instead of sitting with her, doing nothing. I’ll go bring her his head.”

She remained silent for a second, “I don’t know much, but are you sure this isn’t a trap?”

Arad shook his head, “This might be a trap, it might not. But everything we did in the Storm Titans’ kingdom was so that they would live. Killing them didn’t just harm the kingdom and Tyal; it effectively harmed everyone and everything they worked for.” He looked at the sky, “That’s why I can’t let him live.”

Arad sighed, “So? Did they kick you out? I’m sure it isn’t even noon yet.” Tina looked at him with a passive face, “Someone almost destroyed the world earlier, and we were dismissed while the elders sort something out.”

Arad blinked twice, “That must’ve been me, I’ve lost control over my magic for a second or two. You know, I keep it everywhere to monitor everything around us.”

“I know it was you. If it were anyone else, you would’ve shown to stop them.” She looked around, “We’ll probably get back tomorrow. As long as they don’t find you’re the source of that magic and come here.”

“They won’t find us. I’ll make sure they track something else.” Arad stood, and Tina looked at what he was carving out. “All those nails?”

“I’m going to make this cottage a bit bigger, add a few more rooms. Being a carpenter is a bit of fun. Of course, I don’t get exhausted as normal humans.” He put the nails down and left.

Back at the Star Mountain, Arad was feeling like eating anything, so he left the dining hall and stood on the balcony, looking down at the sprawling draconic city.

“If you want, I’ll send some dragons to help.” Ignis approached him, and Arad shook his head. “I’ll be chasing the bastard across hell, and he may even flee somewhere else. Your dragons would just waste their time at best; most likely, they’ll die.”

Ignis sighed, “It saddens me to say that you’re right. So, won’t it be better to wait for him to show up?”

“That would be just giving him more time to plan or hide. I’ll hit him hard, and where it hurts.” Arad glared at the sky, his eyes burning purple, “They’re already moving.”

Arad’s other incarnation was at the castle of the Storm Titan, standing beside Zeus as a massive flock of angels, the ones belonging to Eris, were flying all over the place, inspecting it.

“Angels…” Zeus sighed and looked at his hands. He then sighed, “I couldn’t help, it was already over when I found out.”

“It’s not your fault. Throwing blame never solves anything.” Arad looked at him, and then at the angels searching the place, “We solve problems by taking actions, and the action we must take now is to find that bastard and make sure he pays.”
