The dragon's harem

Chapter 1489: Star Mountain Border

Chapter 1489: Star Mountain Border

Thanks to Alcott’s advice, Kin and Gin’s cooperation, and Arad’s planning, the trip was taken at the right time for the flying fortress to be on the other side of the world, giving them an excuse to visit the Chromatic dragons first.

Because they were closer than the Metallic dragons, who went far away, of course, it won’t be that easy or safe, and that is why Alcott was here.

Even with all of Arad’s preparations, he still could only keep two Incarnations active for this trip. One had stayed with Tina, and the other would remain here in the castle because the two elvish queens need some care when Jasmine finishes dealing with the aftermath of the rebellion.

So for the time being, Arad was going to start moving. He jumped into the sky and transformed, waiting for Alcott to jump on his back and for everyone else to transform, but to his surprise, they all jumped on his back.

That works as well. he doubts there is a dragon capable of harming someone like Gamond in this world, but the others might be harmed, so keeping them close is important.

Arad knew that worrying about his wives wasn’t necessary. Claug was nicknamed the plague for a reason. All of them were powerful enough that humans couldn’t deal with them, but now they were going to the land of the dragons. A place where wyrms walk the streets.

Gamond sat on Arad’s back and looked at her arms, flexing them a bit. If she knows Chromatic dragons well, proving their strength when they arrive there is inevitable. She should be fine because she already surpassed her twilight and should be able to juggle several great wyrms like kids, but the others aren’t the same.

Kory and Zul are the youngest, and they’ll have a hard time. Especially Zul, who just recovered from her sickness. Kory can at least deal a surprise attack when her fire side shows up.

Claug is powerful enough that Gamond won’t worry about her; she is old, smart, cunning, devious, and ruthless.

Balina is the queen’s daughter, so no dragon would dare lay a hand on her. Gamond smiled, remembering herself smacking Balina to the ground. No one would dare, except Gamond herself, and maybe Arad.

That only leaves Eris, who was now sitting on Arad’s head, looking forward with a smile on her face. She was the biggest problem, not because she was weak, nor because she was half-dragon.

Because she is strong and doesn’t look like it, dragons would underestimate her a lot, seeing that she isn’t a true dragon, but they’ll be far too wrong. If anyone here can be called an apex predator besides Arad, it would be her. A vampire half-drakaina of plasma, a demi-goddess of murder, and a paladin of Amaterasu above all of that.

All of that without counting the two monsters protecting them, Alcott, the bane of dragons, and Arad, the Nuclear Chaos. If any dragon dared get close, those two would turn them into mush.

“Let’s hope this trip doesn’t end as a disaster.” She sighed and started.

Alcott looked back at her with a smile, “Oh, it would turn into a disaster for sure. If for nothing, then for your daughter Kory.”

Gamond froze, “Kory?”

“Dragons with multiple heads are considered divine avatars of Tiamat. The Chromatic dragons that hate Tiamat would try to kill her, and those who worship her would try to get Kory to become a part of the Royal family.” Alcott approached Kory, patted her on the head, and then looked in the direction of the Star Mountain.

“She is my daughter now, so I’m ready for a fight. If it’s on, it’s on.” He walked forward and looked at Arad, “He is ready as well.”

Hours later, they finally arrived at the border of the Star Mountain, which was the death sea.

Arad landed on a rocky beach and looked at the raging waves, the thundering clouds, and the violent wind roaring across the sky. It was as bad as the Storm Titan mountain eternal storm, but it was still pretty bad.

The Chromatic dragons maintained the storm as a defensive mechanism against the metallic dragons. Its main purpose is to stop the flying fortress from getting close. Arad wasn’t that confident to fly straight through something that was supposed to be able to knock that fortress out of the sky.

Could he make it? Maybe if he were alone, but not with everyone else on his back.

Gamond smiled, “Such a cute spell, let me blast it away.” She stood, ice forming beneath her feet as she got ready to unleash her breath. But Alcott smacked her on the head with a chop, “Calm down. We don’t need to. No, we shouldn’t destroy it.”

Gamond looked back at him, “ARAD! Get your father off me!”

“Listen to him.” Arad sighed, “If we destroy the storm, we’ll be taking the metallic dragons’ side in the war, which will turn us into the Chromatic’s enemies.”

Alcott nodded, “That is true, so we should get there the normal way. How anyone would travel to the Star Mountain if they were crazy enough.” He turned and pointed back, “In that forest, beside the mountain, there is a medium-sized human village. We’ll find the dragon’s border general there. They’ll open a path for us.”

Arad turned, and he could already see the village, but he couldn’t sense any dragon there. “What do you know about them?”

“Not much. They change each decade, and it’s been a while since I went to the star mountain.” Alcott scratched his chin, “Last time, I went in hiding inside a dragon’s stomach.”

“Another void dragon?” Arad lifted an eyebrow, and Alcott laughed, “It wasn’t that luxurious. It was a black dragon, and I had to deal with its deadly stomach acid.” He smiled, “I hid myself in his food. They never expect me to sneak in like that.”

“I remember it.” Claug sighed, “The dragon landed inside, then started screaming for no reason. Only for this monster to burst out of his stomach with a nasty smile. He was there tracking a dragon that stole from the dwarves, if I’m correct.”

“Can you blame me? I asked the Chromatic dragons to hand me the bastard, and they started delaying with some political bullshit, so I took the matter into my own hands.” Alcott shrugged, “He stole their artifact, Mora’s hammer. That’s a divine relic of their god, not something to be moved around. So once its location was found, the dragon not giving it back to its rightful owners was a problem.”

“So, the black dragon was just unlucky?” Arad sighed, and Alcott shook his head, “Of course not, he wasn’t an accomplishment, but he was already on my list because of burning a city to the ground with acid.”

Arad turned and shifted into his human form, letting everyone down, but still kept them protected from the rain with a barrier. “Let’s hurry and find that border general.” He threw a glance at Balina, “Can’t you get us inside? Or at least point where the general is?”

“I rarely went back home. I spent most of my time making and selling soap. I don’t know who the general is, but they should recognize me.” She walked to his side, “So let’s move.”
