The Disfigured Beauty Becomes a Succubus to Repay Her Debt
Chapter 59 - 57: Seimei is Brought to Justice
Chapter 59: Chapter 57: Seimei is Brought to Justice
The Investigators gasped in unison.
’What kind of technique is this!’
To summon three giant gates out of thin air in South Sea City?
The three massive gates radiated an evil, bizarre, and ominous aura.
It was as if stepping through those gates would lead to an Otherworldly Space, a place not meant for the living.
’Just who is this mysterious young man!’
Seimei Misawa stared in disbelief at the three great gates before him.
’W-what are these things?’
’Could it be... another Divine Artifact?!’
Before Seimei Misawa could react, Jiang Chaosheng shot out from one of the gates, flying through the rain-swept sky like a soaring dragon.
He seemed to be holding something in his mouth. A seven-colored divine light glinted from between his lips.
[Code 0-15, Dragon Pearl]
Holding the Dragon Pearl in one’s mouth allows for unrestricted movement in water.
With the torrential downpour, Jiang Chaosheng could move through the air as swiftly as a fish or dragon in the sea.
In the blink of an eye, Jiang Chaosheng was before Seimei Misawa, raising the Scythe of Death and slashing down at him.
Seimei Misawa immediately recognized that the scythe in his opponent’s hand was also a Divine Artifact!
’How can this be!’
’The Yin Yang Master Family spent a thousand years just to subdue a single Divine Artifact!’
’How can this Yin Yang Master from the Xia Kingdom possess so many?!’
Seimei Misawa was filled with both jealousy and terror.
He formed a Sealing Technique with his hands.
The sound of drums and music arose.
A large, red sedan chair, surrounded by Demons, materialized out of thin air.
Seimei Misawa reached toward the void, and a Magic Staff flew out from the red sedan chair.
The Magic Staff resembled one used by an ancient temple abbot, its surface covered in densely packed Buddhist Scripture.
Seimei Misawa grabbed the Magic Staff and blocked the attack from the Scythe of Death.
"BANG!"
As the Magic Staff and the Scythe of Death clashed, ripples of energy spread through the air.
The two broke apart after the brief exchange, each hovering in the empty air.
Seimei Misawa brandished the Magic Staff smugly.
"Don’t think you’re the only one with a Divine Artifact!"
He expected to see panic, disbelief, or at least a grave expression on Jiang Chaosheng’s face.
Instead, he saw undisguised Greed in Jiang Chaosheng’s eyes.
[Code 2-17, Great Celestial Dog Staff].
Possesses the power of wind and mountains.
It allows one to ride the wind, be shielded by gales, and summon hurricanes.
It could be called a perfect Taboo Item, integrating defense, mobility, and offense into one.
If the user is in a mountainous region, the effects of the Great Celestial Dog Staff are doubled.
Jiang Chaosheng sized up the Magic Staff without restraint, as if it already belonged to him.
A sudden panic seized Seimei Misawa.
’What’s happening?’
’Could it be... I’m going to lose?’
Seimei Misawa shook his head.
’Impossible!’
’I have the legacy of a thousand-year Yin Yang Master heritage, how could I possibly lose?!’
Seimei Misawa let out a piercing shriek. His nine tails swayed like flames behind him, his silver hair whipped wildly, and two fangs emerged from the corners of his mouth.
His assimilation with the Nine-tailed Fox Demon Core had deepened.
The deeper the assimilation, the closer the Nine-tailed Fox Demon Core was to reawakening.
Seimei Misawa’s power surged. He laughed menacingly as he brandished the Great Celestial Dog Staff.
"Come! Let’s settle this in one move!"
The air grew sharp and cold. A gale erupted, and the Investigators found it difficult to breathe.
As the Great Celestial Dog Staff was waved, a tornado hundreds of meters high appeared in the narrow alley.
Lampposts, trees, rubble, and houses were all swept into the tornado.
Thankfully, Xinghua Alley was scheduled for demolition and had no residents; otherwise, who knows how many people would have been swept into the tornado in their sleep!
The meaning of "natural disaster" was made manifest in that moment.
The Investigators looked up in terror, their eyes filled with shock.
’Is this the power of a Yin Yang Master?’
’If this hurricane were to truly let loose, the damage to South Sea City would be unimaginable.’
One Investigator yelled into his earpiece:
"Sister Yan! We have a situation! Notify the Public Security Bureau to evacuate the public! Immediately!"
...
South Sea Public Security Bureau, Director’s Office.
Because the Shocking Court Wood Investigation Team was in action tonight, Zhao Weimin, a man in his fifties, was personally overseeing things at the Public Security Bureau.
He picked up the phone, his voice trembling slightly.
"Maintain public order, prepare emergency supplies! All Sheriffs on leave are to return to their posts and await orders immediately!
Notify all hospitals in the South Sea region to prepare for disaster relief work tonight.
Evacuate the residents of the old district as much as possible."
As much as possible. That was all they could do.
Because the terrifying tornado was already in the old district, there was simply no time to evacuate!
They could only hope the tornado wouldn’t move to other districts and cause even greater losses.
The only thing the Public Security Bureau could do was manage the aftermath.
...
Outside Xiangyuan Street, on a street lined with barbecue restaurants.
The adjacent Xiangyuan Street had been cordoned off by traffic control.
Rumor had it that a fugitive had fled there and the Public Security Bureau was in pursuit.
Others said the Public Security Bureau was conducting a drill.
The diners at Dynamic Mutton BBQ were fervently discussing the event.
"What kind of fugitive would make the Public Security Bureau set up a full traffic blockade? That’s ridiculous."
"It’s probably just a drill, right?"
"A drill? Heh, a complete waste of time."
There were speculations, dismissals, and conspiracy theories.
"Anyway, whenever there’s a big operation like this, you know money’s involved. I wonder whose pockets are getting lined tonight."
Suddenly, a waiter from the entrance ran in, his eyes wide with terror.
"Something’s happening in the old district!"
The diners all rushed to look outside.
They saw that many customers from the other barbecue restaurants had already run out.
The diners wanted to see what the commotion was about.
When they saw the tornado, hundreds of meters high, in the old district, they all froze in place as if someone had hit the pause button.
...
In the old district, a certain apartment building.
A little boy suddenly pointed out the window.
"Mommy, look! A big pinwheel! A really big pinwheel!"
The young mother lovingly stroked her son’s head.
"Show Mommy, where’s the big pinwheel?"
The little boy pointed at the terrifying tornado in the distance.
"Over there!"
He looked up at his mother’s face and saw it turn deathly pale in an instant.
...
Xinghua Alley.
The Investigators stared at Jiang Chaosheng in the sky.
’The disaster has already begun, and the losses are imminent. This man has to take out Seimei Misawa!’
In truth, after seeing the terrifying tornado, they had little faith in Jiang Chaosheng.
A natural disaster of this scale was something only Deities could create, surely?
In their eyes, this Yin Yang Master was no different from one of the Deities.
’Even if Jiang Chaosheng survives this attack, will he really have any strength left to fight the Yin Yang Master?’
One Investigator said in a grim voice:
"Get ready. We’re fighting for our lives."
All the Investigators solemnly raised their firearms or gripped high-voltage electric blades.
Even if it was like a mayfly trying to shake a great tree, they had to try, even if they could only hinder Seimei Misawa for a moment.
"Die!"
Seimei Misawa directed the terrifying tornado to engulf Jiang Chaosheng.
He could already picture Jiang Chaosheng’s gruesome death, and the smile on his face grew more and more savage.
Jiang Chaosheng’s hair was whipped by the wind, and his suit flapped violently.
He pulled a clay-yellow bead from his coat.
Seimei Misawa’s eye twitched.
’Another Divine Artifact?!’
’Good! They’ll all be mine!’
Gripping the bead, Jiang Chaosheng flew rapidly toward the tornado.
The Investigators were dumbfounded.
’Why isn’t he running?’
Even a gaming addict would know that when a boss uses their ultimate move, you’re supposed to find a way to dodge!
Seimei Misawa gripped the Great Celestial Dog Staff tightly.
"Trying to take me down with you?"
Something unexpected happened.
The terrifying tornado suddenly dissipated!
It was as if it had never existed, as if everything had just been an illusion!
Seimei Misawa stared in disbelief at Jiang Chaosheng, who was now right in front of him.
"You... How did you...?"
He suddenly remembered something and slowly lowered his head, looking at the clay-yellow bead in Jiang Chaosheng’s hand.
’Could it be... because of this Divine Artifact?’
’Just how many Divine Artifacts does this guy have?!’
Seimei Misawa’s guess was correct. Suppressing the tornado was indeed the work of this bead.
[Code 3-23, Wind-Still Bead]!
Jiang Chaosheng reached out, grabbed the Great Celestial Dog Staff from Seimei Misawa’s hands, and pulled.
It was like a child snatching a toy from a playmate.
Seimei Misawa tried to use the Great Celestial Dog Staff’s protective wind shield.
But in the presence of the Wind-Still Bead, all wind was frozen.
Seimei Misawa gripped the staff with both hands, gritting his teeth.
"No! I won’t give it to you!"
Jiang Chaosheng frowned and raised the Scythe of Death.
Seimei Misawa cried out, instinctively covering his head and letting go of the Great Celestial Dog Staff.
After a moment, Seimei Misawa felt no pain. He took his hands away from his head and slowly looked up.
Jiang Chaosheng, now holding the Great Celestial Dog Staff, brought it down hard on Seimei Misawa’s unprotected head!
Seimei Misawa screamed, fell from the sky, and crashed heavily onto the ground, spitting out a mouthful of blood.
The Investigators watched this scene with delighted surprise, rushing forward to restrain Seimei Misawa.
They looked up at Jiang Chaosheng, their eyes filled with deep awe.
