The Developer Reborn As Archmage

She developed the magic system. Now she must master it.

Nellie Strum, a reclusive lead developer who worked on a VRMMO called Vainfall, was diagnosed with a terminal illness at thirty years old. Having nothing else to lose after dedicating her life to her dream job, she volunteered as a beta tester for [Verse], a revolutionary new brain interface created by the same company.

After undergoing a medically induced coma, she is reborn as Darya Altazark, a young Archmage from the tropical island of Karossa who had died shortly after her ascension in an unexpected battle.

The world of Vainfall is different from what she remembers, and [Verse] says her next death will be permanent. As the memories of her past life fade alarmingly fast, she is in a race against time to master the magic system she developed before the endgame calamity cuts her second life short.
