The Destiny Villainess Wants Me To Work!
Chapter 367: Ringo!
"I knew it. Master has me in his heart. He cares about me, that’s why he assigned such a powerhouse to protect me."
Leng Shuang remained silent, but she was also somewhat touched by the arrangement.
After they got inside the car, Qian Lian suddenly leaned forward and asked, "Hey, Ringo, are you from I.C.U.?"
Ringo was taken aback by the question before nodding.
"Yes, Consultant Lian. I’m an ICU-3 Agent assigned by Commander Snake for your security."
Qian Lian nodded with an expression that seemed to say ’I knew it!’
"Tell Snake later that I’ve compiled the data he wanted. Send someone to come and get it."
"Yes, Consultant Lian."
Leng Shuang’s head was immediately filled with question marks.
What I.C.U.? Agents? Commander Snake? And why is she calling Qian Lian a consultant?
She suddenly felt as though she had missed something important.
Unable to hold back her curiosity, Leng Shuang turned toward Qian Lian.
"What exactly is going on?"
Qian Lian looked at her in surprise.
"Huh? Didn’t Master tell you?"
She then gave Leng Shuang a sympathetic look.
"Oh, Shuang, could it be that you’re not Master’s favorite disciple?"
"I see. Don’t worry, I won’t bully you. Even if your position is lowered by a notch in the future, I’ll take care of you as your kind elder sister."
"???"
Leng Shuang stared at her as though she were looking at an idiot.
"What nonsense are you blabbering about? Are you going to answer me, or should I just ask Ringo?"
"Fine, fine. Why are you getting angry? Let me tell you..."
After a moment, Qian Lian finally explained everything.
"So, Master had already established a secret organization called I.C.U., and you work there as an information consultant."
"Exactly."
Qian Lian nodded proudly, clearly pleased with her position.
Leng Shuang was silent for a moment before nodding.
"Hmm, good. Don’t disappoint Master in the future."
Rather than showing any envy or jealousy, she smiled and encouraged Qian Lian.
Qian Lian’s proud expression immediately froze.
She had expected Leng Shuang to become jealous after learning about her secret position.
Instead, she had received genuine encouragement.
It felt as though she had eagerly prepared to punch someone, only to hit a cotton ball.
"..."
Qian Lian felt strangely defeated.
’Hmph! So annoying.’

Su Family’s Estate
David was sitting in the garden in a meditative pose, his eyes closed and his legs crossed.
To anyone else, it appeared that he was peacefully meditating. However, if someone looked closely, they would notice the wretched grin on his face.
The truth was that David was using his Third Eye Technique to peek at the working maids in the garden.
The Third Eye Technique gave him vision far beyond the limits of normal eyesight. At this moment, whenever a maid bent down to water the flowers, David’s Third Eye would immediately focus on the brief glimpse of white expanse.
The maid who had bent down suddenly felt a chill run down her back. She straightened herself and soon left the area, much to David’s disappointment.
David opened his eyes and sighed inwardly.
’When will I be able to make my technique as proficient as Master’s, to the point where he can use it like X-ray vision?’
’By then, I will be able to see through everything... and treat more symptoms.’
"So here you are, David."
A hearty old man’s voice suddenly sounded from behind him.
David’s ears perked up. Recognizing the voice, he immediately turned around and greeted him.
"Hello, Grandpa."
"Haha! You’re already calling me Grandpa. That’s good, that’s good."
The old man with white hair patted David’s shoulder appreciatively.
David smiled cheekily.
This old man was none other than Su Shao, Su Menghao’s grandfather.
He was the person who had once been saved by his master and had promised to marry his granddaughter to his Master’s disciple, which was him.
Since this old man was kind enough to gift him such a beautiful fiancée, why wouldn’t David be happy?
Where could he find such a good old man?
Besides, did it really matter if he called him Grandpa a few more times? Anyway, this old man doesn’t have long to live.
The only thing bothering David was that Su Menghao, his supposed fiancée, hadn’t given him a good look since yesterday.
"By the way, where’s Menghao?" Su Shao asked.
"I haven’t seen her."
David answered honestly.
In reality, he had been busy peeking at the maids, so he hadn’t gone looking for Menghao yet.
"What? Didn’t she come to find you?"
Su Shao’s expression darkened as he immediately called her.
["Mornin’, Grandpa."]
"Where are you right now, Menghao?" he asked in a deep tone.
["On my way to the office."]
"Didn’t I tell you to take the day off and go on a date with David today?"
["I don’t have time for dates. Besides, I already told you I’m not interested in him."]
"You—!"
The call was abruptly disconnected.
"This girl!"
Su Shao was furious that she had simply hung up on him. He tried calling again, but she didn’t answer.
He could only give David a helpless look.
"Don’t take her words to heart, David. She’s troubled by her company matters. Once she solves them, she won’t have such an attitude."
David had already seen Su Menghao’s cold attitude toward him yesterday, so he wasn’t surprised. Instead, he became more interested in the other information.
"Company matters? What kind of trouble, Grandpa? Can you tell me?"
Su Shao sighed and nodded.
"It’s not a secret, actually."
"Her company, Bluewing Cosmetics, is facing a market crisis. Their rival company’s new products are extremely popular, and at this rate, they might capture a large part of their market. Many of Bluewing’s products are already being removed from the shelves. Unless Bluewing Cosmetics comes up with a better product, Angel Skin-Care might take away most of their market."
David fell into thought before asking, "Wouldn’t it be enough for the Su Family to invest more money in advertising and shift the focus of the market elsewhere?"
