"Amazing!"

Anthony’s eyes practically sparkled. His childhood dream had suddenly become reality.

’I knew it! Maybe getting hit by that truck wasn’t the end after all. No, that wasn’t just any truck, it must be the great Truck-kun, the messenger of the god of reincarnators.’

’And this must be my second chance. From now on, I’ll become a real superhero!’

His excitement soon gave way to another question.

"So, where am I?"

[Navigation Function is being loaded...]

[Current Location: Central Park, Jiangnan City.]

"Jiangnan City?"

Anthony frowned.

"Never heard of that place. Did Truck-kun teleport me to another country?"

He immediately reached for his phone, but there was no signal.

"Well, I’ll figure out how to get back later."

His attention quickly returned to the system.

"System, what kind of super technology can I get right now?"

His imagination immediately ran wild.

"Do you have a superhuman serum? Maybe some kind of biological enhancement that can turn me into a Tiger Man or something?"

He became even more excited.

"Or perhaps mechanical enhancement? A super armor? An advanced battle suit? Maybe some kind of weapon that can shoot lasers?"

[Newbie Rewards are being issued.]

[1. Neural Transceiver Technology]

[2. Artificial Intelligence Source Code — Level 1]

Anthony’s eyes lit up when he saw the rewards.

Artificial Intelligence!

This had to be the A.I. assistant for his future superhero activities. Every great superhero needed an intelligent assistant, after all. As for the Neural Transceiver Technology, he wasn’t entirely sure how it would help him become a superhero, but since it had been given to him by the system, it had to be useful somehow.

His heart filled with anticipation.

"System, extract the rewards!"

The next moment, the two rewards appeared before him.

However, Anthony’s excitement quickly faded.

He stared at the things in front of him with a confused expression.

"Um... System?"

He picked up the first item.

It was nothing more than a collection of paper documents containing detailed technical drawings.

He then picked up the second reward.

A simple USB flash drive.

"Why did you give me these paper drawings and a pendrive? What am I supposed to do with them?"

Anthony had a bad feeling.

He desperately hoped his guess was wrong.

Unfortunately, the system’s response immediately confirmed his worst fears.

[Host, the system provides the required technology, knowledge, and materials. It does not provide completed products.]

Anthony’s smile stiffened.

"...So I have to build everything myself?"

[Yes.]

"What about the cost?"

[The host must bear the expenses himself.]

"..."

Anthony stood there silently.

For a moment, the excitement in his eyes disappeared.

He had imagined himself opening the System Store, getting some incredible superhuman serum, drinking it, and immediately becoming a superhero.

Instead, the system had handed him technical documents and basically told him to figure everything out himself.

’So even after getting a system, I still need money, materials, equipment, a laboratory, workers, and probably a whole company.’

Anthony felt that his superhero journey was going to be far more difficult than he had imagined.

But he was downcast only for a moment. His expression soon became determined again.

"It doesn’t matter!"

He clenched his fists.

"This little difficulty won’t stop me! So what if I don’t have money, materials, or connections? I’ll find a way!"

His eyes burned with enthusiasm.

"There must be some investor out there who is willing to invest in a future superhero!"

Anthony raised his fist toward the sky.

"One day, I’ll become a real hero!"

"Hey! You!"

A loud shout suddenly came from behind him.

Anthony froze.

Two security guards were approaching.

"What are you doing here this late? The park is already closed!"

Anthony’s face immediately became embarrassed.

"Ah... Sorry, sorry. I accidentally fell asleep here."

The security guard looked at him carefully.

Judging from Anthony’s youthful appearance and somewhat naive expression, he really seemed like a carefree college student who had somehow fallen asleep in the park.

Although the guard was still annoyed, his tone softened.

"Don’t do this again. Since you’re awake now, just leave."

Anthony nodded sheepishly.

"Yes, sir."

He quickly followed the security guards out of the park.

After leaving the park, Anthony took a taxi and asked the driver to take him to a cheap hotel nearby.

However, when they reached the destination and it was time to pay, Anthony suddenly realized another problem.

"Huh?"

The taxi driver looked at the money Anthony had handed him and his expression immediately changed.

"Boy, are you trying to give me fake notes?"

"Fake notes?"

Anthony looked confused before suddenly realizing the problem.

"Oh! Sorry, my mistake. That’s the currency from my country. I forgot it wouldn’t work here."

The driver’s suspicious expression softened.

Looking at Anthony’s Western appearance, he assumed the young man was probably a foreigner who had just arrived in the country and got confused.

But another problem immediately became apparent.

Anthony had no usable money.

He thought for a moment before taking off his watch.

"Driver brother, I don’t have the right currency. Can I pay you with my watch?"

The driver looked at the watch, then at Anthony.

"Why don’t you pay online?"

Anthony immediately showed him his phone.

"There’s no signal."

The driver stared at him for a few seconds.

Then he asked, "How are you going to pay for the hotel?"

Anthony opened his mouth, but no words came out. He had completely forgotten about that problem.

The driver glanced at Anthony’s helpless expression and sighed.

"How about you come with me?"

"Sorry?"

"This watch of yours looks expensive. I’ll take it as payment for lodging and food."

The driver paused before adding, "You won’t get the facilities of a proper hotel, but it should be enough for a few days."

He clearly didn’t want to take advantage of this foreigner who seemed to have found himself in a difficult situation.

Anthony stared at him for a moment. Then his eyes became moist with emotion.

"Sure! Thank you, bro!"

He almost felt like crying.

See? These are the kind people I want to protect.

His righteous heart burned with renewed enthusiasm.

With a good person helping him when he was completely helpless, Anthony became even more convinced that becoming a superhero was the right path for him.

’I will definitely become a hero. I’ll protect people like him. No, I’ll protect everyone who deserves to be protected.’

With such thoughts filling his mind, Anthony followed the taxi driver toward his home, completely unaware that his first step toward becoming a superhero was goimg to be far more difficult than he imagined.
