Just then, the robber rushing toward him stepped on something and slipped.

Sam and the other three brothers immediately rushed forward.

Lin Fan also reacted by then and quickly stepped back, watching as they subdued the robber.

The woman came up to thank them, tears still rolling down her cheeks as she spoke.

"Thank you, sirs. If it weren’t for all of you, I don’t know what would have happened to me."

Sam shook his head.

"Good thing you’re safe, miss. Besides, we didn’t really help much."

"If this brave gentleman hadn’t been here, we might still be stuck in that stalemate." He then looked toward Lin Fan. "Good thing you were lucky and the robber slipped. Otherwise, he might have hurt you."

The woman repeatedly thanked Lin Fan as well.

Lin Fan simply nodded.

Although he was still scared, his repeated experiences with situations that had brought him close to death had made him somewhat numb to the feeling.

He decided to leave.

He had no intention of involving himself any further in this mess.

Just as he was about to turn around, he heard someone speak.

"You’re wrong, Sam. That robber didn’t just slip because of luck."

Sam frowned when he heard Bert contradict him.

"What do you mean, Bert?"

"Yeah, what else could it be?"

"It was the robber’s bad luck."

Tom and Ron spoke one after another, clearly confused by Bert’s words.

Even the woman looked puzzled.

Bert, however, remained calm despite everyone’s distrust. He calmly analysed the situation before pointing toward the robber’s shoes.

"Did you see what he stepped on first?"

Ron looked down.

His expression immediately changed.

"He stepped on feces!"

"What?"

Sam and Tom were shocked.

"Damn, how could someone defecate here?"

The saved woman looked disgusted and immediately pinched her nose.

Lin Fan also quietly took a step back.

Bert, however, remained completely calm.

"He stepped on feces. But, that’s not the point."

He looked at the others seriously.

"The point is, why would feces appear here?"

Tom’s face scrunched up. "Isn’t it just because someone defecated here?"

"Normally, I would have thought the same."

Bert nodded thoughtfully.

"But everything changes if that person is here."

"Who?"

Sam and the others looked at him in confusion.

Bert slowly turned toward Lin Fan.

"Don’t try to hide it. Even if you pretend to be an ordinary person, how could I possibly fail to recognise my idol?"

Lin Fan was dumbfounded.

What nonsense is this guy talking about?

He couldn’t understand anything Bert was saying.

The saved woman also followed Bert’s gaze and looked at Lin Fan, her eyes filled with curiosity.

Meanwhile, Sam, Tom, and Ron weren’t nearly as confused.

The three brothers immediately turned toward Lin Fan and carefully examined his face.

Bert smirked.

He looked at Lin Fan like a fanatic who had finally met the person he had admired for years.

Lin Fan’s expression darkened.

He seemed to know exactly where this was going.

"Can you stop?" He pleaded.

"No, I won’t!" Bert refused outright.

"You might not care about your fame or reputation, but we do!"

He pointed dramatically toward Lin Fan.

"Those people out there don’t understand. They even go as far as to make fun of you."

"We want them to understand that you are the greatest superhuman of all time!"

"A real-life superhero!"

"Not some super shitman..."

Bert paused for dramatic effect.

"But our great Lord Lavatory!"

"Lord Lavatory!"

The other three brothers immediately cheered.

The woman stood there completely stunned, not knowing how to react.

Then she finally realised who Lin Fan was.

He was the man who had become popular and trended just a short while ago, after scientists had claimed that he was a superhuman.

As for what he had supposedly done...

It was probably better not to talk about that.

Dermila’s feelings became complicated.

She knew she should probably feel disgusted after learning what his supposed superpowers were.

But this man had just helped save her.

If she continued to feel disgusted after he had saved her, wouldn’t that make her an ungrateful bitch?

Lin Fan suddenly felt his vision darken.
