The surprise attack cut short Hai Shu's final counteroffensive. The crystal ring collapsed in an instant, and the eye that had opened within it exploded into dust with a roar of intense unwillingness.

A rapid series of explosions erupted from Hai Shu's body as the crystals shattered. The backlash from the Power of Rules was triggered simultaneously, catching him completely by surprise.

It was as if his every move had been within Yang An's calculations. Now, engulfed in the twinkling starlight, he himself seemed to be breaking apart into scattered motes of light.

But it wasn't over. His consciousness remained. The explosion of pain and the price he'd paid were meaningless now, because the sun hanging overhead—the sun that could destroy everything—was finally falling.

Yang An's voice thundered throughout Great Virtue Temple, even spreading far beyond its borders like an echo between heaven and earth.

The sun, condensed from the Golden Sun Power, descended slowly. It looked as ordinary as a sunrise or sunset, and its speed was languid, yet it brought only destruction.

There was no smoke, no ash, not even a sound.

In the utter silence came a complete purge. Everything, tangible or not, was reduced to nothingness.

Thankfully, he had reacted just before Hai Xin's physical body completely evaporated and managed to bring both the man and the pig out with him.
