Chapter 288 – Re: Set

Day 24

A Few Days Later

John was enjoying a cup of coffee on his bedroom patio, watching the sunrise over the little farm before he began his day. His thoughts drifted back to the last few days and the chaos that ensued as he brought the remaining goblins and the rescued human women back to the village. 

After they rested, they made their way back to Aqua and their new 'recruits', carrying or dragging as much of the supplies they had been carrying as he could. Once they were safely in her care, he sprinted back to the village to feed Riana, rushing through the forest like a madman in the dark of night. The two women on guard by the gate tried to stab him with spears when he attempted to enter the mansion, and it took a few minutes and an activation of Divine Shield to prove it was actually him and not an ogre attacking their home. 

After explaining the situation to them and Jean, he found out that Riana was resting in the baths, so he left the still-startled women by the gate and went down below. She indeed looked frail, her body quickly wasting away from trying to create three magical creatures at once. That didn't stop her from pouncing on him the moment he got in the bath beside her, sucking the life right out of Little John and dealing with his problem at the same time as her own. 

After a few rounds, she looked normal again, though she continued to ride him as they finally said hello. He asked how she knew it was him, as there hadn't been any time for words, and she looked at him, confused and said she knew it was him from his aura. He had heard that somewhere before, but was still not really sure what that meant, so he let it slide and continued to make love to her for another hour before they went to bed.

In the morning he rushed back to Aqua, stopping only for a moment to talk with Kichi and the rest of the goblins as he ran past where they were training. He also noticed there were a couple of new buildings in the village, but he didn't stop to inspect them; now that he was rested, he wanted to get back to her as soon as possible. Card had led him to believe that Sato and Sei were willing to follow him, but he didn't want to put too much faith in the idea that they wouldn't change their minds when he wasn't present. Aqua could move herself back to his eye whenever she wanted, so he figured she would be safe enough, but the former captives would not be so lucky. 

The journey back was uneventful, taking nearly two full days for them to cross the distance he could cover in a few hours. With judicious use of scouter and card, he managed to discern that all the remaining goblins were actually of the previous generation before his, and while they had raided the caravan and captured these women, they hadn't raped anyone yet.

Including Sei and Sato, there were six females and three males remaining, so after explaining to them that there would be no raping the humans under the threat of being burned alive by his magic, he began assuming the role of being their chief. He started taking them out in small groups to hunt when they stopped for breaks, also adding them to his party system. It didn't seem to have a limit, so he added the hobgoblins and human women as well. Even if they didn't get the bonuses yet, he could at least learn a bit more about them if he needed to. 

Aqua spent a lot of time with Sei and Sato, the two female hobgoblins who seemed to want to know more about their new chief and his expectations of them. He thought this was too easy, that something weird was going on here, but Aqua assured him this was normal goblin behaviour. They follow the strong, and an Ogre like he was was so far beyond even a Hobgoblin that they would have no issues following his rules.

Which led to the realization that he needed to decide on actual rules and laws for their village, because so far, he had not spelled out any rules for them other than don't rape. He wanted to include Jean in that conversation, along with a few others, so he just let it stew in the back of his mind for their journey.

The five humans were fairly quiet, though for some reason Ruby decided she needed to tag along with him, and asked a bunch of questions about the village. She was a beautiful young woman, with a light dusting of freckles across her heart-shaped face and red hair a shade similar to Tanya's and Rias's. In fact, they were all very attractive women, and Little John let him know it was very interested, but he shoved those thoughts as deep down as he could. 

His resolve was tested the first night on their journey back, when he awoke to Ruby lying on the right side of his body while Aqua was to his left. Aqua had shifted in her sleep again and knocked off his loincloth, and was breathing directly on his cock yet again. He couldn't quite reach his loincloth to try and cover himself, which was when Ruby reached down and covered him up, before nuzzling back into his chest without saying a word. He wanted to kiss her for helping him keep a bit of modesty and saving poor Aqua from waking up to that sight.

He had sighed, apparently already having added yet another warm body to his bed somehow, though at least this one was willing to put clothes on him instead of just ripping them off. 

The next day was fairly uneventful as they travelled, and he spent most of his time talking with Sei about how the goblins had governed themselves and about magic. She had several spell tomes in her backpack, which she would loan to him in exchange for him teaching her some of the magic he knew. He saw no issues with that, so he added it to the to-do list upon his return. 

That led them to their arrival home, which ended up being almost a small festival, with the women and goblins setting out tables full of food and refreshments for their returning lord. John thanked them all and introduced their new members. After dinner, he hung out with Kichi and a couple of other male hobgoblins for a bit, refereeing a wrestling match and playing some other games they had found in the garage.

After supper, Jean had tasked some women with sorting out the stolen supplies, then swept up all the new women and brought them into the mansion, leaving John little to do other than relax and think. At least until Aqua, Mi, and Ee showed up beside him with a bottle of wine and a few cups. He wasn't sure where they found it, but at least Aqua wasn't drowning herself in it again, so he accepted it with a smile, and they shared the bottle while watching hobgoblins play croquet of all things. Afterwards, they got cleaned up and went to bed. 

Which led to this morning. John was wearing a luxurious red robe, drinking coffee on a balcony, and thinking about things.  

It was bugging him that everything seemed way too easy in this world, from gaining skills to getting closer with women. It was like the whole world was meant to encourage hedonism, and that every woman would just bend over for him if he asked, and he didn't like that. He had already succumbed to his hormones with Riana; he didn't want to fall into a complete pit of debauchery with every woman in the village. 

Part of him really wanted to. To just let loose and fuck everyone, putting babies in the entire female population. That part scared him, making him wonder if all these new skills they had loaded him up with were too much. Many seemed to be used either with his Ki, or they could be augmented by it, which made him even hungrier for more than just food. 

Hell, I out sexed a dryad... apparently they are like succubuses, a highly sex driven race. Thankfully, I have her to help me deal with these issues; otherwise, I might really lose control. Speaking of...

"How are you doing down there?" He asked, looking down for the first time since he sat down. 

"Mmm," Riana said, giving him a thumbs up, not even taking Little John out of her mouth. He had woken up to her blowing him again, but with the mass of bodies in the bed, he didn't want her waking everyone up with her movements, so they had moved outside.  

"Good girl, almost there." He laughed a little as she gobbled him down greedily. He found he could just push energy into her body with his hand, but she seemed to enjoy sucking him almost as much as fucking, so he left her to do her thing. He even swapped the flavour around to coffee for her, letting her have a cup of joe after all her hard work.  

"Rou, we are off to prayers... After training, can you give me a hand? I want to make a kiln to make tiles for the roofs of the buildings I put up before- Is...ah... is this a bad time?" Aqua said just as he was cuming down Riana's throat. She was watching them in fascination for a moment, before she turned away, a deep blush forming on her cheeks.

"No... It's fine. Ah... yeah. I'll give you a hand. Just one though, and I'd like it back when you are done... don't have a spare anymore." He said, taking his hand off Riana's head as he finished cuming, then picking up his coffee.

She just looked at him for a moment, then let out a loud belly laugh at his dumb joke. "Seriously, it's too early in the morning for jokes like that." She said, then added more seriously, "Is...this something that happens a lot?"

"Fairly frequently... and with all these damn skills I acquired... it's hard to think if it doesn't happen. Honestly, I'm a little worried about when we return to some of my other worlds, and I don't have a nymphomaniac in my harem like Riana here. But that is a future J- Me problem. Sorry you walked in on us like this."

"It's fine... I'm starting to accept this will be our norm going forward... I'll... I got to go." She said, then darted back into the bedroom. 

John sighed, then looked back down. Riana had shown no signs of slowing down; if anything, she had sped up when Aqua came outside, trying to suck the life right out of him while she watched. If he was a normal human, he was pretty sure he would need a few minutes' break before going again, but Little John seemed more than up to the task. He leaned back and took another sip of his coffee and let his thoughts drift again, fully intent on enjoying this quiet morning before things got busy. 

A kiln? Buildings she put up? Tile roofs? What in the world did she get up to while I was chasing those assholes down?

"Yes, Milord. Sui and Ee pretty much built this place on their own; we just provided them with the lumber for the rafters and ventilation windows. They also used your leftover bricks to make a pair of forges. I could hardly believe how fast they moved; it's like Sui was blessed by the god of craftsmen and Ee the god of stonemasons." The Carpenter said, showing him the new workshop they had assembled for the weaponsmith and armourer. 

It was a fairly large shop, with large wooden shutters that could be propped open to let excess heat out, and room for tools, tables, and anything else they needed. Other than the two forges on the back wall, there wasn't much in here yet, but John could see this working for the two women. 

"It's possible they might have been, though as far as I know, Sui was always good at building things," John replied, looking up at the roof that had stringers ready for tiles. He had already helped Aqua build her kiln, and she and Ee had already fired it up and were using some clay they found to start making red tiles.

He had tried to help with the forms, but found that his missing arm was just slowing their work. He couldn't get his spectral arm to come out again to help with this, making him think it ran on his anger and only in times when violence was required. It was something he would have to explore when he meditated later. That is when the Carpenter came by the kiln and offered to show him around the two new workshops.

"Well, she is good at it; I barely had to do more than tell her what needed to be done. Once they get this going, the three of them will be able to make us pretty much anything we need."

"Three of them? Oh right, that new woman was also a blacksmith. How are they doing?" He asked. He hadn't seen the five new recruits today, spending his morning working with Aqua and Ee. 

"Still a little shocked, but they are very grateful for your intervention, Milord. You prevented what happened to us from happening to them."

"Well, they are welcome to stay or leave as they wish. That goes for the rest of you as well." 

"I think we are quite satisfied living in this palace of yours; we have no wish to return to the poverty of human lands. If anything, we want to bring more people here and begin expanding even further. Using some of the materials in that library, we could literally make our own kingdom here that would surpass any on this world in technology. Mixing that with magic, and who knows where the limit would be?"

"I'm sure it would be amazing, but let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. Right now, we are barely a village of fifty people, still reliant on hunting to supplement our diets. We will need to clear even more forest out to grow crops and find other types of livestock so we can keep meat on the table."

"We could travel to human lands and buy some chickens and pigs. There are also those trihorn horses around that you could try and capture. If you can break them, they might make good work animals. Not that I have any experience with that; you would need to talk to Ruby about it."

"Ruby? The new girl?"

"Yeah, she was a farmer before she became an adventurer. She may have the skills needed for something like that." She replied, then took his hand and started pulling him out of the not-quite-finished building. "Come, let's go over to our shop now. It's even further along than this one, and we want to take a few measurements of you."

"Measurements? Why?"

"It's a surprise, Milord. Don't worry. You're going to love it." She said with a mischievous grin. 

With that, they left the forge, the excited woman dragging him by the arm across the village to where the mill was located. He noticed then that many of the women had left the mansion and were tending the field alongside a few goblins who didn't go out hunting that morning. It gave him hope that things would be okay. Weird, but okay.
