Chapter 911 - White Skin

"Calculating..."

"Confirmed. All basic requirements have been met."

"Initiating Phase One."

"ETA: 4.5 Standard Hours."

Hao Xuan nodded to himself, "That's good. Show me the final layout for the main facility and plans for the living facilities."

A hologram appeared in front of his eyes showcasing a 3D miniature model of a strange spiral structure. This was Hao Xuan's idea, brought to life by Baracus's supreme intelligence.

After summoning Nidhora to deal with the native creatures that were attacking him, it became quite clear that there was more to this world than met the eye.

Nidhora was a 'beast of old' and had a lot of knowledge on her hands some of which she willingly granted to Hao Xuan for some unknown reason.

The first and most important fact pertaining to this world was that this was actually not a complete planet. Once upon a time it WAS a giant world that housed many races and beasts but the section they were on was only a small shard of it.

Hao Xuan was not able to confirm this himself but according to Nidhora, it would take her 4 days to reach the end of this world in her current state. Baracus was able to get a rough estimate and concluded that this little shard of floating dirt was around 3 times the size of the earth.

It was akin to a floating continent and resembled an asteroid more than a planet.

After several failed attempts of finding which of the Ten Worlds it belonged to, Nidhora and Baracus both agreed on one point. This 'world' was continuously moving between the ether, the very curtain of reality.

It was not shackled to any plane of existence and could freely move in between any world.

Secondly, the laws of nature were incomplete and unstable within its bounds and did not adhere to any traditional rules which was the reason for the time disparity.

The third point was that no being higher than the Profound Realm could use their powers here without causing irrevocable damage. Because this was not a complete world it could not support any being higher than the Profound Realm for an extended period.

Nidhora barely fell within those boundaries since she was basically stripped to the bone but she still couldn't use her full powers without further damaging the natural laws or move about freely. Just having her out and about was taxing enough for this little rock.

But this also meant that there was nothing here that could challenge her so that was a very good thing for Hao Xuan since it almost guaranteed his safety.

As it stood now, Hao Xuan was the king of this place. Not only because of Nidhora but the Scorpion King and the Formacian Prince as well, both of which were Profound level entities albeit of a different caliber.

With all of them combined or perhaps even alone, they could deal with the almost neverending tides of 'white skins' by themselves.

White skins was the name the Orcs had given to the humanoid native creatures of this world. They crawled out of the depths of the city every night but after Nidhora killed several thousand of them on the first day, they seemed to have accepted her existence and stayed away for the most part.

That being said there still were a few mysterious places Hao Xuan didn't wish to venture into, like the bottom of that mountain range where he first met the Djinn.

But because of all those other reasons among Hao Xuan decided to set down roots here. As long as he had some Qi he would be able to come here so access was not limited.

The faster flow of time was also a great gift that he wanted to make full use of.

His current plan was to use the Orcs and with Baracus's help build a small foothold in this world. A place where the Orcs and his other severs could train and live freely, grow up faster, and hopefully become stronger in a very short amount of time.

The Orcs had been working day and night for the last few days to gather all the materials the previous city was built upon. Everything was taken by Baracus to be broken down to its very basic state and recycled for the new facilities.

Strictly speaking, the resources were limited and Hao Xuan almost had no knowledge of even the most basic system himself which meant it all fell on Baracus's shoulders. He was the 'architect' behind all of it.

Hao Xuan closed his eyes and laid down to rest. Exactly four and a half hours later he was woken up by Baracus.

"The first model is finished."

Hao Xuan waved his hand to summon a small metallic ball. It floated in the air by itself, blinking with various lights.

"How is it?" Hao Xuan asked curiously.

"Passable," the ball replied in Baracus's voice.

"The overseer unit's computing power is extremely limited at approximately 8% percent of my current capability, but still far better than what your organic mind is capable of."

Hao Xuan nodded, eyeing the 'overseer unit' in detail. It was just a simple metal ball without any gaudy attachments so its outward appearance made it look extremely ordinary.

"And it will work even when you are not here?"

"Yes, it is fully independent. Upon return all the data points will be automatically synced to the main unit's internal settings."
