The Dawn of the New World

Chapter 773 - Push

As soon as he stepped into the yurt Princess Na'im jerked her head around to examine Hao Xuan up and down in excruciating detail. She was shaking hands with Princess Helena but completely forgot about it.

"So it is true..." she mumbled.

Hao Xuan stood at the entrance, looking her right in the eye. The last time they met Hao Xuan was manhandled and assaulted by the barbarian princess as if he was a toy. But what could he do? He was out of spiritual energy and was probably the weakest he had ever been in this world.

But that wasn't the case anymore. His Qi reserved were still at more than half the capacity and using his cultivation, physique, and bloodline, Hao Xuan could probably go toe to toe with her when it came to raw physical strength.

Ma Jiang walked in, pushing her way past Hao Xuan to the side as if he was a nuisance.

The atmosphere became quite tense and awkward in the blink of an eye.

The princess could feel the increase in Hao Xuan's strength which along with all the things Burak told her made her even more curious to find out more.

But Hao Xuan on the other hand was quite incensed upon recalling the past events, especially since he could still smell his own scent on her bed. It had barely been 5-6 hours for her since he left so this wasn't anything out of the ordinary.

Princess Na'im loosened the grip around Princess Helena's hand and turned around to face him.

"You seem stronger, human. Or should I call you Hao Xuan now?" she asked with half a smile.

Hao Xuan shook his head dismissively. This 'unvexed' attitude of hers really bothered him. He wasn't expecting an apology but she should at least admit her mistakes right?

"Call me whatever you want, it doesn't matter," he replied coldly, making her smile even wider than before.

"My brother tells me you've become quite the man. And it feels like only yesterday when you were on my bed with tears in your eyes, begging me to stop."

Hao Xuan's pupils contracted. Unknowingly he released a bit of the Chaos Law. The pressure within the yurt increased by several folds. The flames beneath the giant cauldron flickered without any wind and the air became thick with bloodlust.

Burak took a step back, moving towards the struggling Princess Inara. The words of power on his fists lit up, creating an umbrella-shaped shield above her, protecting her, and accidentally Princess Helena from the effect of the Chaos Law.

The rest of them all fell to their knees at once, other than Princess Na'im of course.

Her smile turned into what could only be defined as an evil grin at this point.

"Ho, why so much anger?"

"Be very careful with your words princess," Hao Xuan said trying to keep his calm but the Lycan blood coursing through his veins made that a challenge, to say the least.

He wanted to lunge at her and rip her throat out before she could even blink but he also knew she was far too strong to just sit back and let that happen.

Princess Na'im tiled her head to the side pretending to remember.

"Be careful? But I didn't say anything wrong did I? Just a few hours ago you were laying right here, naked and quite afraid if I remember it right," she patted the side of her bed, still maintaining eye contact with him.

Ma Jiang who using the strength of all her magics to fight back could not even muster a single spell together. The mana gathered before instantly dissipating since it was within the Chaos Law's territory.

All she could do was raise her head and look at Hao Xuan pitifully while gritting her teeth to remain in a seated position, unlike Uri whose face was on the verge of becoming one with the floor.

"Iwcan thaste ma shtomach," he mumbled incoherently with his tongue hanging out.

Princess Na'im made a fist in anticipation, waiting for Hao Xuan to attack but he never did. He wasn't that far gone to pick a one-on-one fight with her.

In a little more than an hour he could call out the scorpion king who could most probably deal with her by himself. There was no reason to give in to temptation, as sweet as it might be.

Burak watched for a few seconds and knew they were both just testing each other right now so he spoke up, reminding his sister of the current situation and giving Hao Xuan a way out without losing much face.

He knew how much humans valued useless notions like "respect" and "dignity".

"Sis, stop this already. Hao Xuan is a very good friend of mine and someone I owe my life to, not to mention the others. We need to talk about the tomb!"

Princess laughed and sat down on her bed.

"You're right, I'm sorry-" but then she paused and looked towards the Demihuman Princesses, "-Helena. I hope you don't mind, I was just having some fun."

Hao Xuan almost cursed her out but held it in at the end.. He recalled the power of the Chaos Law, letting everyone relax.
