Kael turned back with a smile.

Rue and Sage rushed toward him through the lobby.

Rue launched herself at him.

WHUMP.

Rue’s arms wrapped around his neck.

Kael caught her instinctively. His hands found her waist, then shifted lower.

His fingers settled on her ass.

...soft.

Kael’s smile widened. He squeezed gently.

"Yeah," he murmured against her hair. "That’s the feeling."

Rue pressed her face into his neck. Her voice came out muffled.

"Kael, I miss you so so much!"

Kael smirked, still holding her ass with both hands.

"Me too, my cute little Rue."

Rue’s body stiffened slightly. A deep blush spread across her cheeks. She felt his hands pressing firmly against her, squeezing with clear intent.

"~Hey~ Kael..." she murmured in a tiny, flustered voice. "We’re still in public."

Kael released her gently. His hands slid back to her waist before letting go entirely.

"Sorry," he said, smiling. "I just missed you so much."

Rue landed on her feet. Her blush deepened.

Then his thoughts shifted.

I mean... who wouldn’t miss that soft ass.

An evil smirk tugged at his lips.

Hmph.

Kael turned to Sage.

"Oo Sage," Kael said, smirking. "Come on. Don’t be shy. Just bring in that hug."

His thoughts betrayed him immediately.

So that I can touch those soft boobs.

Sage snorted.

Pfft.

"Pervert," she said flatly.

She could read him like an open book.

Kael scratched the back of his head. Scratch.

Rue chuckled beside him. Hehe.

Sage rolled her eyes. Then she stepped forward and hugged him. Her arms wrapped around his torso, her face pressing against his chest.

Kael hugged her back as his hands went for her ass.

...okay, maybe I am a pervert.

Cassian stood to the side, watching the entire exchange.

His face crumpled as he sighed.

Where’s my Yenna?

Rue tugged Kael’s sleeve. "Why don’t we go out for shopping?"

Kael blinked. "Shopping?"

His mind had been elsewhere entirely.

I thought we’d go book a nice hotel and—

His perverted expression surfaced immediately. A slow, shameless grin spread across his face.

Hahaha.

Sage snorted again. Pfft.

"Get your mind out of the gutter," she said.

Rue didn’t notice. She was already pointing excitedly toward the commercial district visible through the lobby’s transparent walls.

"There’s a Nine Star Trading House nearby!" Rue said, her tails swishing with excitement. Swish-swish.

Sage’s eyes lit up. She smirked.

"Kael will sponsor it," Sage said.

Kael smirked. He reached into his storage ring and pulled out his black credit card. Afterall, he had millions of credits.

"Fine by me."

He turned to Cassian. "We’ll meet later."

Cassian nodded.

The Nine Star Trading House on Planet Verenthos was a masterpiece of commercial architecture.

Whoa.

Five floors of curated luxury, each one dedicated to different categories. The exterior was crystalline glass etched with runic patterns that shimmered in the planet’s sunlight. The interior was spatially expanded—each floor larger than the building’s footprint suggested.

Vvvrrrr.

The hum of environmental runes kept the temperature perfect. Mana-infused lighting created an atmosphere of warm elegance. Attendants in crisp uniforms glided between displays.

Rue - Floor Two: Elegant Combat Dresses

Rue moved through the racks like a child in a candy store. She picked up one dress—held it against herself—shook her head—put it back. Picked up another. Her tails swayed with each evaluation.

Swish. Swish. Swish.

"Kael, what do you think of this one?"

She held up a silver combat dress with runic embroidery along the hem. It was elegant—fitted but flexible, designed for movement.

Kael looked up from the equipment display he’d been browsing. "You will surely look beautiful in any clothing."

Rue beamed.

Sage - Floor Three: Bold Combat Attire

Sage kept pulling items off racks with decisive snaps.

Snap. Snap.

"This. This. And this." She tossed three outfits over her shoulder. Dark blue combat attire with gold trim. Form-fitting. Aggressive.

"Are you going to pay for those or just throw them at me?" Kael asked from behind, arms loaded with her previous selections.

Sage glanced back. "You’re carrying them. That answers your question."

Kael - Floors Four and Five: Equipment, Runic Tools, Cultivation Resources

This was where Kael’s real shopping happened.

Floor four was dedicated to combat equipment. He picked up runic inscription tools—a new set of Rank 5 carving needles, three types of runic ink, blank talisman sheets, and a portable inscription table that folded into a briefcase. He also picked different runes he could study and improve his mastery of runes. Afterall, to become a rank 6 Runemaster was still far. Rank 6 Runemasters were known as Great Masters. Their runes begin to touch upon the "Lore" of the world—the fundamental laws that govern how mana interacts with physical reality. Rune inscriptions at this level can affect weather, terrain, and large-scale phenomena.

Clatter. Clink. Clink.

Floor five was cultivation resources. Alchemy ingredients—Starfire Petals, Voidroot Extract, Spirit Condensation Dust. Emergency pills—Mana Restoration, Soul Mending, Body Recovery. Spatial expansion supplies—formation plates, anchor crystals, dimensional stabilizers for preparation for the inheritance ground.

The attendant’s eyes widened as Kael placed item after item on the counter.

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

The total climbed. Kael didn’t flinch.

"Bag them," he said.

Lingerie - Floor Two

Rue disappeared for twenty minutes. When she returned, her face was crimson. She clutched a small bag to her chest and refused to make eye contact.

"What did you buy?" Sage asked, reaching for the bag.

Rue turned away. "Nothing!"

Sage looked at Kael. Kael looked back at Sage. Both smirked.

Kael was made to carry all the bags.

Sage walked beside him, hands free, sipping a drink she’d purchased from the trading house café.

Slurp.

"You’re doing great, bag carrier," Sage said.

Kael smirk. "I’ll see if you’ll be saying that when we get to a hotel."

Rue clung to his left arm. Her body pressed against his side—soft and warm. Her perky breasts pushed against his hand through the thin fabric of her top.

Kael’s perverted expression returned.

...worth every credit.

They left the trading house as the planet’s sun began to set. The sky turned amber and violet.

A luxury hotel—five stars hotel. He booked the presidential suite.

"Done," he said. "Let’s go."

Rue pressed closer. Sage finished her drink and tossed the cup into a bin.

Toss. Thud.
