Chapter 618: A Gift for Violet
Chapter 618: A Gift for Violet
"...What is it, Pandora?" Violet asks as I lead her to the place I've been using to research a few things and analyze how the universe is behaving around my presence. I've even managed to stop passively destroying planets because of the Goddess of Apocalypse title.
"I brought you here just so we could spend some time together. We're friends, right?" I say to her, opening the large door to the place. Violet walks in without much concern and immediately sits down on a chair. Since Violet is small, compared to my height she looks like a little doll.
"Yeah, we're friends! But still, you usually ignore me a lot... Is something wrong?" she asks cautiously as I sit on the floor so I'm not towering too far above her.
"No, nothing's wrong," I murmur, cracking the knuckles of every hand I have.
"...Then why are we here? Do you have something to ask for, because—"
"No, I came to thank you." "Fate" is like a book being written in real-time based on what living beings choose. However, since I gained the fundamentals of creation, I learned to read the old pages of that book. There are limitations, though, and I can't easily see the past of other beings.
But Violet is linked to my existence. So, just as I can view my own past as if reading a book, I was also able to see Violet's.
"Thank me for what?" She tilts her head, confused.
"You gave up your little girlfriend for me, so I decided to say thanks. Because even though you did it in secret and never mentioned it, it's still valuable to me." When I say this, her face shifts to a mix of sadness and embarrassment.
"I-I don't know what you're talking about..." She rubs one arm with her other hand, looking embarrassed. I guess she never thought I'd find out.
"Don't be a tsundere right now. I managed to see it with magic, and I know how much you liked Mesumari. But you also realized how she was dragging you down, and out of loyalty to me, you ended what you had with her." Mesumari was running the "blade" of Violet's existence ragged.
"..." She looks away, clearly uncomfortable with the subject.
"She... was damaging my existence, so... I needed to stop that. After all, I am your sword. And even though you're weird, kind of insufferable, and annoying, you're still my friend." She gives me a smile, an honest one.
"Great. I'm someone who knows how to be grateful, and I appreciate very much that you chose me. That's exactly why I came to thank you in person, and better yet, I came to offer you something." After consuming the Abyss, I found something quite interesting inside it that wasn't digested and remained within my body.
"What? You have something for me?" She grows curious as I place a weapon on the floor in front of her. Violet's face falls into disappointment.
"A weapon, Pandora?... I thought—"
"It's not just a weapon, Violet. The name of this weapon is Blayze." Blayze is a Long Scythe with a red blade and a dark crimson edge, a black handle, and a total length of two meters.
"She is a Special Grade Weapon that was inside the Abyss. After I consumed the Abyss, she came to me. Meaning she is like you. And thanks to my knowledge, I know that she represents life and is the brain of the primordial goddess's physical body." Just like Violet is the heart, this scythe is the brain.
The weapon suddenly transforms into a girl. She's a tall girl with long, dark red hair and red eyes. Her skin is pale, she has large breasts and a voluptuous physique that rivals Mesumari's head-on.
She's wearing a long red dress with black details, along with slightly sheer white thigh-high socks, and she has a very confident expression on her face.
"Her name is Blayze, and she isn't 100% connected to my body. However, she decided to stay with me as a form of gratitude for taking her out of the Abyss. But the truth is, I don't need her."
"After all, I have my divine weapon. And unfortunately, Blayze is useless to me. Because unlike you, Violet, who can enter other weapons, Blayze is already a weapon with a fixed form."
"Meaning trying to use her would limit me. But I don't want to discard her either, and she didn't want to go to my older sister. So I decided to give her to you as a gift, and she accepted because you are directly linked to me."
"W-Wow... r-really?" Violet analyzes Blayze's body before her gaze fixes firmly on Blayze's firm, elegant thighs, and then drops down to her feet. Violet swallows hard, looking enchanted.
"So you are Violet?" Blayze speaks, and her tone is quite seductive. At 180 centimeters in her humanoid form, she is much taller than Violet.
"Unfortunately, I am incapable of being useful to Pandora. But if she wishes for me to stay with a cutie like you, then I would adore that." Blayze bends down towards Violet, taking her hand and giving it a soft kiss.
Unlike Mesumari's rough, arrogant, and rude style, Blayze is super polite and elegant.
"Oh!! P-Pandora, is she really mine?"
"Yes, stop looking at me with that doubt in your eyes. I just said I'm giving her to you. She will live with you inside the seal on my hand, and you two can have your little romance."
"Unlike Mesumari, Blayze won't hurt you. She actually couldn't even if she wanted to, since her powers represent life." She's the reason life existed in the Abyss in the first place.
I always wondered how life was able to be sustained in an environment like the Abyss. Life emerged there, evolved there, and expanded. But that process of life emerging is strange, isn't it?
How could life arise in an environment that was supposed to be impossible? The explanation I received is that the magic in the Abyss generated the first beings there, but that alone wouldn't be enough. The complete answer is that it was Blayze.
Blayze was the catalyst for the magic in the Abyss that generated the first Abyssal beings, and it was also because of her that those beings evolved into what they are today.
The signs were actually quite obvious. The Abyss was generated by the power of the primordial goddess, so it made sense for a Special Grade Weapon to be inside it, and it made even more sense for that weapon's power to be connected to life.
"Violet, would you grant me the honor of allowing me into your home?" Blayze asks politely with a gentle smile, the complete opposite of Mesumari, who invaded Violet's home.
"S-Sure... please, come in..." Violet seems completely smitten with this girl, as if it was love at first sight. And I get it. Blayze is a really beautiful and seductive woman. Moreover, her politeness carries not a single drop of arrogance.
It's just gentle, classic courtesy. Even I would like to sleep with a bombshell like that. But Violet deserves this prize.
"Pandora, thank you for not discarding me. Furthermore, Violet seems better than you had described. I appreciate the opportunity to be useful." Blayze turns to me and gives a bow with a smile. Soon after, she vanishes, entering the seal on my hand and settling into Violet's home.
"P-P-PANDORA!!! I can't believe you hid this incredible woman inside you for so long!!!"
'It hasn't been that long. Literally, I met her less than three weeks ago.' I literally only found her because I devoured the entire Abyss.
"You seem enchanted by her. I can't believe Blayze stole your heart in mere seconds," I say in a tone that's half mocking, half serious.
"Y-You don't understand!! She's a dream! She's beautiful, polite, and her magic... ahh... her magic is so sweet... I've never seen such an incredible woman!!!"
'That offends me, you know...' I avoid saying that out loud because I'm giving a thank-you gift to Violet, but her saying she's never seen such an incredible woman is an insult. I am an incredible woman.
"Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!!" She jumps onto my leg, thanking me repeatedly. I didn't think she'd be this happy.
'Well... Violet is still lonely. I only talk to her occasionally. I guess it makes sense she'd be this happy to have someone who will be with her most of the time.' Blayze seems like a suitable woman from the little I've talked with her. Plus, her personality is great. I think I made a good choice.
"It's fine, you don't need to get so emotional. You deserved it, and I always reward those who deserve it. Go on, enjoy your new girlfriend. She'll do anything you wish. I talked with her, and she's the passive, obedient type. If you ask, she'll accept most things."
"Just don't go overboard. She still has feelings. Besides, she seems to like you too. You're lucky." When I say that, Violet gives me a huge smile.
"Pandora, I always thought you were truly terrible, even though you're a friend I love very much. But this time... this time you really impressed me... I take back every bad thing I ever said about you!! You're incredible!"
"Obviously," I accept the compliment in a totally pompous way, until my expression closes into irritation when I realize she insulted me first before saying I'm incredible.
"I'm going!! I'm going to be a while, so please don't call me!!" She starts to disappear, completely excited, while I just sigh.
"...What a waste... Blayze is an amazing weapon... but she's totally useless to me right now... Hahaha, how ironic. Because she would be an absurd weapon in the hands of literally anyone else..."
Unfortunately, she didn't want to become a possession of Azraelith, my mother, or anyone else! That's why I was wondering what to do with her. I ended up thinking I had to show my gratitude to Violet.
Anyway, I will never use Blayze, and I couldn't just leave her idle. My divine weapon can take any form.
And Violet is useful because, besides controlling fate, she is a weapon without a fixed form. She enters whatever weapon I have in my hands. That's why I might actually use her in the battle against the goddesses.
But Blayze, she has a fixed scythe form. So she's useless to me. And her power is totally related to life, so it's also not of great utility to me. That's why I figured it was better to give her to Violet, who actually needed it.
"If I had found her in the past..." Azraelith got a little annoyed when I mentioned this weapon, because she doesn't have a Special Grade Weapon. But she thankfully accepted the fact that she didn't get it pretty well.
"Now what to do..." I bring my four arms together, rubbing one hand against another. I have some free time.
