The Cursed Alpha Prince's Replacement Bride
Chapter 225: No More Arguments
{Third Person}
Meanwhile, after Barron left him, Alexander went back into the house and found his way straight to his study.
He sat behind his desk with a sheet of paper before him, the pen resting between his fingers as he stared at the blank page.
He spent the next half an hour thinking about what he wanted to write.
There were some matters he could discuss with Barron without hesitation, but this was different.
Mage Seraphina had been involved with his condition for years. She knew the nature of the curse better than almost anyone, and she had been one of the few people who had never given him false hope.
If anyone could make sense of what was happening to him, it was her.
Alexander lowered his eyes to the paper and finally began writing.
He started with a formal greeting before moving straight to the main agenda for his letter.
He described the changes he had noticed over the past several weeks. He told her that his body no longer felt as heavy as it once did, that breathing had become easier and that the exhaustion that usually followed his wolf form had lessened.
He explained that his wolf had also become easier to control, particularly when excitement stirred within him. The aggression that had once followed even the slightest provocation had diminished considerably.
He chose his words carefully and did not mention Amara’s name.
He did not tell Seraphina that the changes seemed strongest when a certain person was near him. Instead, he described the pattern without naming the person and asked whether the changes could mean the curse was weakening.
When he finished, he read the letter twice to make sure he didn’t leave any loopholes, then folded it.
He sealed it himself and handed it to Jasper with instructions to send it directly to Mage Seraphina.
He said nothing more about it.

MAGE KINGDOM
Three days later, Mage Seraphina sat in her workstation with Alexander’s letter open before her. She read it slowly, then read it again.
She knew his condition.
She knew what the curse had done to him over the years, and she knew that a curse of that nature did not simply begin weakening without a reason.
’His redemption is finally here.’ She thought to herself as she released a deep breath.
Seraphina reached for a fresh sheet of paper. Her response was measured and deliberate as she began writing.
She greeted Alexander using his formal title as the Alpha Prince of the Werewolf Kingdom.
Then, she told him that the changes he described were not ordinary fluctuations in his condition. If the curse was truly weakening whenever he was in the presence of one particular person, then there was a strong possibility that the person was directly connected to the curse itself.
She paused before writing the next line, then continued.
This person is the solution. Your mate.
Seraphina went on to explain that the effects of the curse had already begun wearing off and that, if her assessment was correct, there was no reason to believe the process would stop. With his mate in his life, the curse should eventually be broken completely.
She did not stop there.
On another page, she addressed the second matter Alexander had asked her to investigate.
Regarding the political bride’s origins, she needed more time. The records that might have led them to the answers had been completely wiped.
She had searched through what remained, but the missing information was extensive enough that she could not give him a satisfactory answer yet.
She promised to continue searching.

Four days passed before the reply reached Alexander.
He was alone in his study when Jasper placed the sealed letter on his desk.
Alexander nodded "You can leave."
Jasper bowed and turned towards the door. Alexander waited until the door closed before picking up the envelope.
He took out the letter. He recognised Seraphina’s handwriting immediately when he unfolded it.
He began reading.
At first, his expression remained unchanged. He moved through the first page calmly, taking in her explanation of the changes he had described.
Then his eyes reached the line that made his fingers tighten around the paper.
This person is the solution. Your mate.
Alexander stopped breathing for a moment. His hand trembled. He read the sentence again, then once more.
His eyes moved down the page, but the words beneath it barely registered. His mind had already seized upon those four words.
Your mate.
For years, he had known that only his mate could break the curse. He had searched for her, waited for her and eventually forced himself to stop hoping that she would ever appear.
Now Seraphina was telling him that she had already entered his life.
Alexander lowered the letter slowly. His gaze drifted toward the window. Amara. The name came to his mind without effort.
He thought about her walking through the garden, laughing on the swing, asking him questions about werewolves with an innocence that had occasionally left him struggling to hide his amusement.
He remembered her sitting beside him, the sound of her voice and the strange familiarity he had felt when their hands touched during dinner the other day.
He had tried not to give those things meaning.
He had told himself that he was merely becoming accustomed to her.
He had told himself that his growing attachment was simply the result of spending more time with the woman who had become his wife.
But Seraphina had given him another answer that confirmed his doubts.
Alexander looked back down at the letter and continued reading. The part concerning Amara’s origins immediately caught his attention.
The records had been wiped completely.
His eyes narrowed. Someone had erased the trail leading to Amara’s past.
That discovery should have occupied his mind, but for several moments, it could not compete with the revelation on the previous page.
His mate.
After everything, his mate had been living under the same roof as him.
Right then, a quiet sound stirred inside his mind. His wolf had been waiting.
"Can you now believe me?"
Alexander closed his eyes. He had no argument now.
