The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System
Chapter 956 - Celestial (02)
Chapter 956: 956 - Celestial (02)
The primordial star of creation wasn’t referring to the actual prison, of course.
The real prison was located in the Land of the True Gods, the only place capable of withstanding the presence of a being of Celestial’s caliber.
Even so, there were three entrances.
One of them was in the Primordial World, the Great Creator’s first creation, bathed in the light of the Primordial Star of Creation.
The second was in the heart of the Land of the True Gods.
The third was in the southernmost region of the Celestial Heaven, so heavily swarming with frenzied beasts that even Celestial Emperors had to exercise great caution when approaching it.
Suddenly, Qingyi stopped.
His footsteps fell silent in the middle of the empty corridor.
Was the Celestial Father wounded by his older brother?
Wait a minute...
Qingyi knew, from his conversations with Auranys, that the Celestial Father had set out on a mysterious journey and, upon his return, was gravely wounded.
Upon realizing the severity of those wounds, the ancestor of Tianjin—the original Immortal Golden Dragon Emperor—murdered his own ally and sovereign, sparking the war that killed nearly all the gods.
That had always been strange.
The Celestial Father was as powerful as Qingyi would be if he were in the realm of the Celestial Emperor, with the most powerful and steadfast foundation possible.
What on earth could injure someone of that caliber to the point that he couldn’t withstand an assassination attempt, even though he was so strong?
But if it had been his older brother, the first son of the Great Creator...
It all made sense now.
A chill ran down Qingyi’s spine.
[Recently, I could sense a presence approaching Celestial’s prison... and that presence received a portion of his power.]
"Do you believe it’s..."
[The one you call the Heavenly Demon. For Celestial to be able to grant power to someone like that, the seal on his prison must be weakening... I can’t check it myself, but I don’t think you have more than a hundred years before he returns.]
For a moment, Qingyi simply closed his eyes.
The hum of the formations on the walls seemed to grow louder in the silence.
The Heavenly Demon had received power from Celestial, likely the most powerful being in this universe, second only to the father whom Celestial himself had poisoned.
Wasn’t that a little too unfair?
How the hell was he supposed to deal with this?
Qingyi sighed, rubbing his forehead with his fingers before resuming his walk.
He needed to reach the Celestial Emperor’s realm as quickly as possible.
He was confident in Tianjin’s current strength, which was more than capable of killing up to ten Heavenly Demons at once, but... what about a Heavenly Demon with the power of a Celestial?
That was an entirely different matter.
Qingyi needed to have a serious talk with Tianjin about this, so they could begin preparing contingency plans as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, aboard the largest ship in the Demon World—equivalent to the Celestial Spear in power and glory—was a man.
The hall where he rested was hot and humid, illuminated by a faint red light seeping from the walls. The air carried a sweet scent of incense mixed with something heavier, resembling iron... or blood.
He was tall—perhaps three meters, perhaps a little more.
He was naked, his body submerged in a pool of spiritual energy, his arms outstretched and resting casually on either side of the edge.
The energy there was so dense it resembled a thick, silvery liquid, swirling slowly around his broad chest and rising in wisps of vapor.
He wore a gentle expression on his face as one of his handmaidens approached, her footsteps so light they made no sound on the floor.
She knelt a few meters from the pool, her head bowed.
"Lord Heavenly Demon, it has been confirmed that the Heavenly Spear is about to leave the Heavenly Orthodox Martial Alliance. In a week or two, they should be here." The servant stated in a calm, robotic voice.
The Heavenly Demon nodded silently and dismissed her with a lazy two-fingered gesture, turning his gaze to the figure seated on the other side of the pool.
It was the Demon of Eternal Slaughter, the Second Demon Lord—his younger brother and, in terms of raw power, the strongest among the seventy-two Demon Lords.
"Do you think Long Qingyi will manage to win this battle for those orthodox pigs?" the Demon of Eternal Slaughter asked his older brother, twirling the wine cup between his fingers.
"Yes... honestly, I’d be surprised if this war lasted more than a week before our young talents are completely wiped out..." The Heavenly Demon laughed.
The younger brother laughed as well, thinking it was some silly, unfunny joke.
Unfortunately, the laughter died in his throat as soon as he realized his older brother wasn’t joking.
"What’s the matter?" The Heavenly Demon took a sip of wine, savoring it slowly.
"Do you really think Qingyi would be worthy of my attention if he couldn’t even do that? But don’t worry, brother—the deaths of all these young talents serve a greater purpose! Soon, I’ll bring death to every one of them. To Qingyi, to his wives, to Tianjin, to every orthodox pig."
The Heavenly Demon stood up.
Spiritual energy flowed through his massive body, dripping back into the pool in heavy, gleaming drops.
"We, together, make this damned universe bleed."
The Demon of Eternal Slaughter shuddered.
That "together" from the Heavenly Demon wasn’t about him.
His older brother’s eyes weren’t even on him. They were lost somewhere in the distance, far beyond the walls of the ship.
The Heavenly Demon was talking about someone else.
But who?
The face of the demon of the eternal massacre hardened for a moment, but in the end, he sighed.
He sensed that his brother was different and knew there was a strange power within him, but what could he do?
If his brother was confident he could win that war, then they had already won.
