Chapter 751 - Time to fight!
Chapter 751: 751 - Time to fight!
[Since I’m preparing the mass release of GoldenLord today, I was only able to get a 1,500-word Chapter of CDG ready in time—my apologies. But don’t worry, starting next month, it’ll be CDG’s turn to get a full month of four Chapters a day.
Unlike GoldenLord, CDG will maintain this release schedule starting on the 1st of the month.]
The Cosmic Emperor fixed Qingyi with a deep gaze before finally speaking.
"Ah... your power is truly frightening, young man. Aoxue, even though he was a dragon like you, couldn’t withstand a single punch... It’s a shame we lost him in that terrible accident."
The moment those words left his lips, the entire hall fell silent.
In essence, the Cosmic Emperor had declared, if only indirectly, that despite Aoxue dying at Qingyi’s hands, the young dragon would face no consequences.
That revelation washed over everyone connected to Qingyi like a cool breeze, and a gentle smile curled the young dragon’s lips.
"Greetings, Senior. I just didn’t expect him to be that weak; I’m sorry," Qingyi said, clasping his fists and bowing slightly in respect.
"You may call me Elder Ling, young dragon. It is rare to find talents like you around here," the elder replied, waving his hand lightly and ignoring Qingyi’s excuse.
Between his fingers, a small, elegant golden token materialized.
The moment the token came into view, every stellar sovereign watching the tournament felt their hearts tremble.
That was an elite recruitment token from the Celestial Orthodox Martial Alliance!
Such tokens were granted only to elders above the cosmic emperor realm, and each elder could obtain only a single copy in their entire lifetime.
Generally, they were treated as extremely rare treasures, distributed with the utmost care and, in most cases, reserved for one’s own descendants.
"Elder Ling, this is...?" The leader of the Myriad Beasts Sect leaped to his feet, his voice trembling.
"My disciple recommendation token," Elder Ling replied calmly. "I would give one to your son as well; given his talent, he is more than deserving. Unfortunately, this is the only one I have.
Not that it matters much—with his current talent, he could easily enter the Orthodox Martial Alliance just by taking the standard test."
Those words drew several envious sighs from the spectators, who cast longing glances at Qingyi and Bai Hu Lie.
To be recognized by a cosmic emperor... what an honor!
"Now..." Elder Ling cleared his throat. "Long Qingyi, I recognize your talent."
He waved his hand, and the token flew toward the young dragon, trailing a faint golden streak through the air.
Qingyi didn’t hesitate for a moment, raising his hand and catching the token firmly between his fingers.
"When this tournament is over, I want you to accompany me to the Central Region to be officially accepted as an elite disciple of the Celestial Orthodox Martial Alliance.
You will be trained directly by the most renowned masters of the orthodox world and will have access to countless cultivation resources."
Surprisingly, the one most excited to hear that proposal was the leader of the Cosmic Dawn Sect himself.
After all, the Celestial Orthodox Martial Alliance didn’t simply steal talented disciples from poorer regions.
Whenever they recruited a disciple who already belonged to a sect, they paid a large sum of resources based on the value they believed that disciple was worth. They also paid an additional sum for each advancement that disciple made within the hierarchy of the Alliance.
If the disciple eventually became an elder, the sect might even receive assistance from the alliance to relocate to the Central Region, under the direct protection of the alliance itself.
If the disciple died, the alliance would offer an even greater compensation of resources.
Considering the difference in wealth between the two regions, it seemed like a true dream.
Qingyi held the token in the palm of his hand, observing it in silence, feeling the almost imperceptible weight of that small golden object.
With that token, contacting Tianjin would be no difficult task, but Qingyi still had a lot to do in that region.
He couldn’t leave. Not yet.
"Elder, I understand your request, but unfortunately, I still have much to do in the Northern Region before departing for the Central Region. When I’m ready to go, I’ll take the standard entrance exam."
Qingyi raised his hand, trying to toss the token back to Elder Ling, completely ignoring the shocked stares fixed upon him.
"I’ve already given it to you," Elder Ling smiled with satisfaction, realizing that Qingyi didn’t have a shred of greed in his eyes. "Use it when you arrive in the Central Region; you’ll need it."
The elder waved again, and the token hovered in the air before gently floating back into Qingyi’s hand.
"Thank you, Elder. I won’t forget this!" Qingyi bowed, clasping his fists before walking back to his seat beside the leader of the Cosmic Dawn Sect.
The leader let out a heavy sigh.
Shaking his head, Qingyi simply settled into his chair.
His eyes drifted to the side, falling on his adoptive mother, Rouxi.
She couldn’t contain herself for even a second. Leaning toward Qingyi with an eager movement, she wrapped him in a tight embrace, pulling him forcefully against her enormous breasts.
The pair of soft, creamy melons squashed against the young dragon’s face like two heavy pillows of warm, perfumed flesh, their plush softness molding to every curve of his cheeks, smothering him in a sweet, silky warmth.
"Oh... my heart, you make me so proud! Fufufu~" Rouxi let out a sensual giggle, and the vibration of her laughter sent a slow tremor rolling through her chest.
With his face completely buried in the deep cleavage of Rouxi’s pale, creamy skin, Qingyi couldn’t muster a single word of response.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t enjoy the embrace for long. He soon had to pull away to meditate, closing his eyes as he prepared himself for the battle with Bai Hu Lie.
The two young talents were given an hour to prepare, and both Qingyi and Bai Hu Lie sank into careful meditation.
They weren’t exactly tired, but they wanted to give it their all in a worthy clash.
Neither wanted even a one-percent difference in Qi reserves to alter the outcome of the fight.
After that hour of meditation, Qingyi’s eyes finally opened, glowing an intense purple.
His aura surged above his body, powerful and suffocating, making the very air around him feel too heavy to breathe.
With a slight push, he launched himself into the air, landing in the arena so softly that his feet didn’t make a single sound as they touched the marble.
His eyes lifted, falling upon Bai Hu Lie, who had landed on the opposite side, his gaze brimming with battle intent.
"Brother-in-law, finally, we can face each other at full strength!" Bai Hu Lie roared, spreading his arms wide, his powerful claws extending in a clear invitation to battle.
"Yes, and don’t worry, Brother Bai Hu Lie, I’ll try not to crush you as easily as I crushed that Aoxue," Qingyi taunted, removing the Heaven-Defying Thunder Sword—still in its sheath—from his waist.
Without hesitation, he tossed the sword toward Rou’er, who caught it in midair with practiced agility, clutching it firmly against her chest.
"HAHAHAHA! In your dreams, brother-in-law!" Bai Hu Lie shook his head with a fierce smile, and in the next moment, the gleam in his eyes shifted completely.
The two stood face to face with fists clenched. Then, in the blink of an eye, they hurled themselves at each other with devastating power.
It was time to fight!
Above the audience, observing everything with a deep gaze, stood Elder Ling.
After Qingyi rejected his offer, he didn’t dwell on it, simply leaning back in his luxurious armchair and casually sipping a glass of wine.
He was still pondering what to do regarding Aoxue’s family and had already ordered all his subordinates not to use transmission crystals to report Aoxue’s death to the Martial Alliance.
He would handle it personally, but only after reporting Qingyi’s very existence to Tianjin, leader of the Orthodox Martial Alliance.
That way, he would have more assurances regarding the young man’s safety.
"Ah... young people are such a hassle." Elder Ling let out a long sigh.
It was a pity that Aoxue hadn’t listened, foolishly insisting on embracing his own hatred.
Unfortunately, it was already too late now.
The only good news was that Aoxue wasn’t a key genius for the Celestial Orthodox Martial Alliance—quite the opposite.
His family was powerful, but he himself was utterly mediocre.
In the end, the elder simply pushed all that out of his mind, his eyes locking onto the battle about to unfold.
Just then, the two combatants’ fists finally collided with a thunderous boom that shook the very air around them.
The old man smiled, his robes billowing about him as the shockwave from the impact rolled outward through the hall.
He had no real interest in a battle between the geniuses of that region, yet now, even as a cosmic emperor, he couldn’t hide his amusement.
