The Chronicle of the Last Bloom

Ever the Last Bloom (Poem)

  • Next Chapter

No oblivion for what roots twice —

once in the soil, once in the Between,

where faceless souls still walk

and somehow still know one another.

Eremos does not die — it blooms backward,

a root sinking through every Turn,

a memory the Heartthread will not release

though the whole world folds into Fragments.

Tell me, what is oblivion

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

but a garden no one waters?

And here there are hands — Vesalia, Ilyrisse, Vaelira —

that will not let a single page go dry.

The novel asks what remains after death,

and in the asking, it already answers:

what endures is not noise, not fame,

but the slow sap running beneath the silence.

So no, this Last Bloom

will not go to oblivion —

it will go, as every true flower does,

sowing itself where no one is watching,

waiting for the next Contract,

the next soul that chooses

not to disappear.
