Chapter 423: Take Him To The Clinic
It might seem surprising to Simon that Ormon was speaking up for him, but to some of the powerhouses who heard Ormon’s question, they understood why he was asking such a question.
A vast majority of them had heard of Simon one way or the other, but they never took him seriously.
Everything he did with his classmates, the gangs, and even the embarrassment of the nine initiates only served as a brief source of entertainment to them.
It would not be the first time that a First Year would stir up waves in the academy, and though Simon was stirring up waves in a completely different manner, they believed that it would die down.
There have been First Years who eventually found it very difficult to ride the waves they stirred up, and they either drowned or their waves died down.
To many of these powerhouses, only time would tell if Simon would be able to ride these waves, and if he was truly talented.
This was what they believed… however… this battle showed them something else.
Simon was a talent, a rare gem, and it would be a shame to not possess and nurture this talent.
And this was where they could not understand the Grave Lords.
For demons who were as young as Simon to be a slave of the clan, the most likely reason is that Simon was a survivor of a tribe, clan, or kingdom the clan had destroyed.
Children like him were usually called war slaves, and the clan were very careful in ensuring that these children were not nurtured to have revenge.
But some of these powerhouses knew that Simon was not a war slave.
For some reason, they could not get the whole story of how Simon became a slave, and this made some of them to know that Simon’s story was much deeper and more complicated than they expected.
However, after the battle they had just witnessed, they believed that the clan should free Simon because of how talented he was.
All the clan had to do was to remove his slave status, and treat him right.
Use some manipulation and deception to make him let go of whatever grievances he might have with the clan.
The clan could even use women or a woman to make Simon to develop a sense of belonging to the clan.
There were so many things some of these demons could think of, and they were very certain that the Grave Lords would also know of these things.
So, why was Simon still a slave?
The vice headmaster could literally feel the stares and perception of some powerhouses land on her after Ormon asked her this question.
She knew that they were all interested in her response, and she could not help but shake her head softly.
“You should focus on yourself, Ormon. There are some matters that are beyond you.”
Ormon furrowed his brows slightly, then he cautiously poked at the vice headmaster, hoping to get an answer from her.
“So, it’s the Grave Lords that don’t want to remove his slave status? But why?”
He looked at Simon whose eyes were slowly closing and who was trying his best to stay awake.
“Hey kid. Why are you special?”
The moment Ormon asked this question, the vice headmaster spoke with a cold tone.
“Ormon.”
Ormon looked at her with a raised brow.
“It you genuinely don’t want to die an unexpected death, then I’ll advise you to let it go.”
Ormon blinked, then he released a sigh and shook his head.
“Whatever.”
The vice headmaster nodded.
“Good. Take him to the clinic, he needs to be treated immediately. It’s very surprising that he has not fallen unconscious yet.”
Ormon looked at Simon, then he chuckled and looked back at the vice headmaster.
“He’s a man who has seen the light of breasts, so he’ll live.”
Simon tilted his head and looked at Ormon with an expression that could not be put into words.
The vice headmaster said nothing, but if one could see her expression, they would see her having an expression of disgust and annoyance.
She began to sink into her shadows, wanting to get away from the pervert called Ormon.
“You’re as disgusting as ever, Ormon.”
Ormon grinned widely.
“And your breasts are as beautiful as ever, vice headmaster.”
A thick and powerful killing intent hit Ormon, and a shadow tentacle shot out of Ormon’s shadow and slapped his stomach.
Bang!
A powerful shockwave blew the debris behind Ormon, and Ormon’s eyes bulged.
The force of the vice headmaster’s light attack forced Ormon to take multiple steps to the back.
He looked at his stomach with gritted teeth, and when he saw the black mark of a tentacle, he hissed in pain.
“Damn it. I couldn’t even react. The gap between a Demon Lord and a Greater Demon is extremely high.”
He shook his head and held in the burning pain he was feeling.
He then looked at Simon who immediately went unconscious after the vice headmaster left.
“This brat… He forced himself to stay awake when that old man and the vicious vice headmaster were around. What a mad and tenacious boy.”
Ormon grinned.
“And I like that about him.”
He looked around, then he walked to the exit of the Death Arena with an unconscious Simon one shoulder and a topless female demon sitting on his other shoulder.
Eventually, Ormon left the Death Arena and took him to the clinic.
Meanwhile, Korth and his brother remained in the arena a few minutes after Ormon left.
“That was surprising. Did you expect the vice headmaster to show herself? I didn’t even sense her presence at all.”
The brother remained silent for a while, then he shook his head but said nothing.
Korth was not surprised by this since the arrival of the vice headmaster changed a few things.
He wanted to ask a few questions, but he knew that his brother would not respond since he was deep in his thoughts.
However, he could not help but mumble.
“But what of the sovereign ranked sword? That sword cost us a lot of money, and that bastard has it.”
Just as he expected, his brother did not respond.
And a few seconds later, he stood.
“Let’s go.”
Korth nonchalantly shrugged, and without saying a word, he followed his elder brother.
