Chapter 252: Why Expose Yourself?

Chapter 252: 252: Why Expose Yourself?

Simon completely ignored the rat-masked demon despite his screams and curses.

None of his words could affect him in any way, and not even a ripple occurred in his calm heart.

Although the words of the rat-masked demon did not affect him, a lot of people heard his curses and screaming, and their attention was inevitably drawn toward the rat-masked demon and Simon.

Many were confused, while many tried to put two and two together. Those who were observant enough had widened eyes of realization as they watched Simon walk away unhindered by their bullies.

Simon did not mind their stares, and he was completely indifferent toward it.

’When they try to kill me, they believe they have the right to do so because the clan has branded me a slave. They believe I should not fight back and that I should grovel beneath their feet.’

’Now, I take their pitiful merits despite them trying to kill me. I don’t take their lives, I don’t cripple them, but they see me as cruel.’

’How do you expect me to survive if you take all my money? How do you expect me to live my life?’

’How is that my problem when you have evil intentions toward me?’

’Maybe I am too kind by only wanting 50% of their weekly stipends.’

’Hmm… Well, taking more than 50% can make the academy to take action against me. And 50% is the right percentage to take. I have broken no rules.’

Simon suddenly stopped walking ashis ears twitched. He heard a sound coming from below and he also perceived a familiar aura.

Bang

Bang

Bang

The sound of heavy footsteps coming from below became louder and louder, and in the next moment, a tattooed hand grabbed the edge of their dormitory balcony.

Whoosh

A figure wearing a lion mask jumped from below and landed with a bang on the floor, a few meters in front of Simon.

Simon stared at the figure for a few seconds, looked at him from head to toe, then he spoke.

“It seems you didn’t have a hard time, Akaza.”

Akaza had a dark expression behind his mask seeing Simon and hearing his words.

He genuinely disliked Simon. In fact, he wanted nothing more than to rip Simon to shreds, but he could not.

Simon had him in a chokehold through the antidote of the poison he administered into his body.

The Iron Fangs were bullies who loved to hurt and also extort money from their peers and those below them.

That was true.

But Simon was taking things too far by making the Iron Fangs attack the First Year dormitory.

They had never done this before. What they always did was to bully whatever unlucky student they encountered in the academy, not the entire class when they were resting in their dormitory.

And they never bullied the top students of the First Years because they knew that the academy valued the top students greatly. Who knew what punishments they’d face if they attacked the top students of a class?

But Simon obviously did not care about this.

He ordered Akaza and the entire Iron Fangs to extort every single member of his class without fail.

Not even the bottom feeders or the elites of his class were spared.

’When he said I must be the person to attack the top three students, I thought he was doing too much, but those three… were strong… And I have a feeling that they didn’t use their full abilities.’

’Why is this class full of monsters?’

Akaza’s brows were furrowed deeply as he recalled his battle between Sunless, Merath, and Jorra.

He could not call it a difficult fight per say since it ended rather quickly and without any injuries, but he felt a great deal pressure from the three First Years.

A pressure which he should never have felt.

“Akaza.”

Simon’s voice drew him out of his thoughts, and Akaza looked at Simon.

He exhaled softly, then he spoke.

“You were right. Those three were not normal. Geryan would not have been able to handle them.”

Simon nodded. “How was the battle?”

“Very short…” He frowned behind his mask. “… I believe that when they found out that they couldn’t overpower me very quickly, they decided to willingly give me half of their stipends.”

Simon calmly nodded. This was what he expected with the type of personalities they had and the fact that all three were keeping one secret or the other.

“Have you collected all the merits from your subordinates?”

Akaza’s lips twitched at Simon’s words.

“Yes, I have.”

“Good.” Simon nodded. “Did any of the Iron Fangs try to steal some of the merits?”

Akaza shook his head. “None of them wants to die.”

“Quite smart of them.” Simon nodded again, then he stretched out his hand.

Akaza instantly understood what he meant, but his expression became ugly.

“I believe we should talk about how we split the merits.”

Simon tilted his head slightly with an indifferent gaze, then he slowly lowered his hand.

“What’s there to talk about? Haven’t we talked about it already?”

“Don’t you think that not giving anything to the Iron Fangs would cause them to hate you and not follow you willingly?”

Simon raised a brow. “They already hate me and many of them would refuse to follow me because I’m a slave. They’d love nothing more than to kill me, so why should I give them anything?”

“Besides, I’m giving you 10% because I value you. If you want to share your merits amongst them, then so be it.”

Akaza’s lips could not help but twitch.

Share his merits?

He had very little merits left. How could he share his merits when he had no choice but to manage his merits.

’And it’s all because of this bastard.’

This was another reason why he hated Simon and wanted nothing more than to rip him to shreds.

He and the Iron Fangs were working for Simon, and they earned nothing as a result.

’If it continues like this, does this not mean that we’re his slaves from now on?’

’What sort of heartless demon did we provoke?’

Akaza felt regret and anger as he had these thoughts, and he could not help but ask.

“Why did you now decide to expose yourself if you plan on treating us like this?”
