Chapter 208 Is the Ancient One Dead?

  • Next Chapter

Strange was completely dumbfounded.

He had thought Ancient One might be a bit old, capping out at around a hundred years old. After all, magic existed, so living a bit longer was completely normal!

Six or seven hundred years old, holy crap!

Was she even human?

Strange turned his head suspiciously and looked at the empty hallway of reality: "Sorcerer Ancient One... isn’t peeking nearby, is she?"

"Rest assured, your great-grandmother went out on an errand."

Lucas directly raised his hand and gently tapped Strange’s Parkinson’s-afflicted fingers!

Super Speed Healing.

In less than a second.

Strange’s ten fingers were completely healed, as steady as a veteran bachelor of thirty years.

His face was filled with wild joy.

This was even more effective than Sorcerer Ancient One!

His hands had originally been severely damaged, filled with steel needles on the inside and covered with grotesque scars on the outside. You could say even he himself had given up hope, but unexpectedly, they were actually cured by Lucas.

And the whole process took less than a second.

This was simply a medical miracle; only he knew how exaggerated it was to be able to re-heal necrotic nerves and muscle fibers.

Strange tried clenching his fists, and his arms no longer trembled, but instead were filled with strength.

"This... this is truly a miracle!"

Strange’s voice was trembling.

"Become my disciple! I have never had a subordinate who was a Sorcerer Supreme before, and you are the first!" Lucas clapped his hands. "However, just as I can instantly cure you, I can naturally take back my power! Mwahaha, you understand!"

Strange waved his hands repeatedly.

"I understand, I understand! If you need any help in the future, just come to me!"

I have two pairs of perfectly intact hands!!!

Looking at his own hands, Strange was ecstatic.

Lucas nodded with satisfaction.

There were many Sorcerer Supremes, but Strange was definitely the most special one.

His figure swayed slightly, and he directly disappeared in place.

After being pleasantly surprised for a while, Strange thought of Ancient One’s age and what Lucas had said, and he became heavy-hearted once again.

Ancient One had said it herself.

Dark magic was a taboo; no one could touch it, or they would become unfortunate.

But if she hadn’t practiced it herself, how could she have lived for such a long time?

If Mordo and Wong were to find out about this, what kind of ending would the Sanctum head toward?

Strange was already starting to worry.

Over on Lucas’s side, his goal had already been achieved. Anyway, in the end, they would all know the truth, and Mordo would even forsake the Sanctum and embrace the camp of evil.

...

Late at night, icicles hung under the eaves of the courtyard.

Lucas pushed open the wooden door of the bedroom.

The room had no lights on, and only a few pillars of scented candles emitting a sweet fragrance were lit.

In the center of the large bed, the scene before him directly made Lucas’s eyes light up, and his breathing became heavy!

Wanda’s delicate body was half-hidden as she lay horizontally across the soft, large bed.

Over her entire body, there were unexpectedly only a few translucent dark red ribbons wrapped around her!

The most crucial parts were faintly visible beneath the ribbons, outlining her curvaceous and graceful figure to the fullest, pulling the visual impact straight to the maximum!

Seeing Lucas push the door open, Wanda’s face burned hot.

"Holy shit!"

"You know this too?"

"Where did you get this equipment?!"

Wanda bit her lower lip, her watery, large eyes filled with the resolve of making a last stand. "I bought it online from the Ele.me platform. I heard men all like this style. The shipping fee was several times more expensive than the goods themselves, and getting it delivered here wasn’t easy!"

"Emmm!"

It truly delivered on its mission! At such a high altitude, it could still be delivered to the door, totally awesome!

Wanda’s delicate body turned slightly to the side, taking the initiative to hand a section of dark red silk ribbon toward Lucas, her voice so alluring that it made one’s bones melt.

"This is... the gift I wanted to prepare. Tonight, you can blindfold me... and let you take the lead!"

Lucas directly burst out of his clothes.

A sixteen-year-old beauty whose body is like tender jade...

"You asked for this yourself. Even if Jesus comes today, He won’t be able to save you!"

Lucas grinned, casually took the piece of red silk, and blindfolded Wanda’s eyes with it.

...

Dawn broke.

Wanda was awakened by a round of knocking on the door. She lay on Lucas’s shoulder, sleeping sweetly.

Her physical energy consumption last night was extremely heavy.

But it was undoubtedly a satisfying night.

"It seems like someone is knocking on the door outside!"

Lucas’s eyelids drooped slightly. He subconsciously pinched her, then hugged the Witch and turned over to sleep again.

"Hey, it’s irrelevant, no need to pay attention to it!"

Even through the barrier, Lucas could perceive Strange’s voice, which sounded very anxious, wondering what had happened.

But what did that have to do with him?

If he had known earlier, he would have made the soundproofing barrier two-way.

It would block the sound from inside as well as the commotion outside the room.

"Lucas! Guardian? Grand Mage?"

Strange was practically crashing into the door.

What the hell are you on about? What’s wrong with me taking a thunderous second-round nap? Did I fuck your mother?

Lucas flipped out of bed, floated over, and flung the door open.

With a "thud", Strange crashed through the doorway and fell heavily onto the floor.

"Sorcerer Ancient One has been killed!"

???

Lucas slowly produced three materialized question marks, resembling a cartoon character.

"You must be kidding me. If Ancient One didn’t want to die, who could kill her?"

Strange said, "It’s a zealot named Kaecilius. Mordo and Wong seem to know him. They are currently stationed at other Sanctums to defend against Kaecilius’s attacks, and I’m here to ask for reinforcements!"

Wanda covered her body with the quilt, and with a wave of her Chaos Magic, she was fully and neatly dressed.

On the contrary, Lucas was...

Wearing a pair of thunderous boxers, picking his nose, and looking completely indifferent.

He saw the cloak on Strange’s shoulders.

It seemed that the Cloak of Levitation had already chosen the true Sorcerer Supreme.

However, this cloak even actively lifted its hem to greet Wanda, acting as if they were old acquaintances.

"How could Sorcerer Ancient One possibly die? She is the most powerful Guardian on Earth, and even during the Battle of New York, she was certain she could stop the person behind the scenes!"

Wanda was even more puzzled and perplexed.

"Sorcerer Ancient One is really dead! I saw it with my own eyes. She fell from the twenty-fifth floor and smashed onto the ground, almost turning into meat paste. According to medical terms, she was indeed brain-dead..."

Strange’s tone was extremely grim.

Wanda’s face suddenly turned pale.

The Chaos Magic within her body instantly erupted with chaotic fluctuations.

But it was quickly suppressed by her.

"Kaecilius? How could he have such ability?!"

Wanda raised her hand and shook it, causing the wooden door to slam heavily against the wall and shatter with a loud bang.

Strange was startled, and immediately afterwards, he saw Wanda’s eyes flickering with a scarlet, chilling light, looking exceptionally eerie.

Strange swallowed a mouthful of saliva and said slowly, "Kaecilius worshipped the demon god Dormammu and stole a book of dark magic. According to Sorcerer Ancient One’s soul, Kaecilius wants to summon Dormammu!"

Lucas yawned.

The dimensional demon god Dormammu was parasitic within the Dark Dimension, which was its lair.

And as early as the 17th century, Dormammu had wanted to invade Earth, only to be repelled by Ancient One. Afterward, it cowered in the Dark Dimension, constantly seeking to invade Earth.

Ancient One had established the Sanctums, widely recruited disciples, and by the way, even fleeced Dormammu’s wool, acquiring power from the Dark Dimension.

Such an awesome character died from falling off a building.

She wasn’t even acting anymore!
