The Boys: Viltrumite Evolution Panel
Chapter 206 Fragments of the Book of White Magic
Putting away the divine weapon, Lucas tore through the void and returned to the hotel suite in a second.
As soon as he returned to the room, he happened to see Wanda walking out of the bathroom with her delicate bare feet.
The towel quietly slipped from her rounded shoulders, leaving a large expanse of delicate and fair body completely exposed in the morning light.
Wanda had no intention of avoiding it at all.
Her beautiful eyes filled with moisture, she walked over with a smiling expression, wrapped her arms around Lucas’s neck, and proactively delivered a sweet, deep kiss.
After the kiss, Wanda leaned against Lucas’s chest, slightly out of breath.
"Lucas... I want to go back to Kamar-Taj, greet Sorcerer Ancient One, and handle some matters there along the way."
"Then we can find a quiet town where no one disturbs us and live a peaceful life for two, alright?"
"Of course."
Lucas had no objection. Anyway, the progress of Conquest relied entirely on time piling up; once all the major Marvel events were finished, the progress bar would be almost full.
Hearing Lucas’s reply, a brilliant smile blossomed on Wanda’s pretty face.
She had been harboring a vague worry deep inside before, afraid that Lucas was a superhero with an exploding sense of responsibility like Captain America, always rushing off to save the Universe at every turn.
Seeing him rush into the wormhole holding a nuclear bomb last time had scared her to death, but now seeing that Lucas was willing to live in seclusion with her, the heart hanging in her throat finally dropped completely.
However, Lucas’s thoughts were a bit different.
He wanted to gradually stimulate the Chaos Magic within Wanda. Tossing around in bed alone was definitely not enough; matters of magic required sufficient personal experience.
Otherwise, no matter how much it was strengthened, actual combat capability wouldn’t put on an act for you.
Later, he would find a way to get the Darkhold, and also fetch the Book of the Vishanti. Working both angles simultaneously, he would stack Wanda up to the multiverse level!
With two multiverse-level beings, how fierce would the child they produce be?
The combination of Mutant genes could already produce a heaven-defying omni-capable being, so he had to step up the intensity.
Furthermore, Wanda was also the companion among all the Worlds he had traveled through so far who was most likely to speedrun to the multiverse level; she must be cultivated with all his might.
The two packed up properly, and Lucas took Wanda’s hand and tore through the void.
...
Kamar-Taj.
The void rippled outward, and Lucas stepped out holding Wanda’s hand.
Sorcerer Ancient One, dressed in yellow monastic robes, had already tucked her hands into her sleeves and stood quietly in the center of the courtyard. Facing their sudden descent out of thin air, this Sorcerer Supreme showed not the slightest surprise, merely smiling and nodding:
"Kamar-Taj always welcomes the return of you two."
Lucas raised an eyebrow, took a moment to sweep his gaze across the courtyard, and saw a familiar face under a wooden corridor not far away.
Stephen Strange.
Time was progressing a bit fast!
This once renowned master Doctor across the U.S. was standing in the cold wind, sweating profusely. His hands were trembling beyond description, like he had Parkinson’s.
Strange had gotten into a serious car accident due to distracted driving; not only did he shatter his hands, but he also spent all his savings trying to cure them.
In the end, he also forcefully fell below the execution line.
If he hadn’t traced the clues to Kamar-Taj, Strange himself would have already degenerated into a homeless person on the streets of New York, dragged away by pharmaceutical companies for drug testing.
At this moment, Strange was gritting his teeth and waving his shaking hands, attempting to trace magic sparks in the air. Unfortunately, aside from popping out a few sporadic sparks, there was nothing at all.
Wanda stepped forward.
"Sorcerer Ancient One, my return this time... is to ask, will my Chaos Magic truly completely lose control and go berserk in the future?"
Ancient One glanced meaningfully at Lucas beside her and gently shook her head:
"Time is an extremely bizarre and unpredictable law."
"Some insist that the future is a predetermined dead knot, while others believe the future can be changed by minor variables. At least in today’s trajectory, no one can guarantee it."
Wanda had long been used to the Riddler style of Ancient One.
"I want to go to the library again to borrow a few ancient magic books regarding high-level control types."
"Take them as you please." Ancient One smiled gently, "You are my proud disciple, and in the future you even have hope of taking over this place. You may examine the classics in the library as much as you wish."
Hearing this, Wanda turned around, stood on tiptoe, gently kissed Lucas’s lips, and whispered:
"Wait for me a moment, I’ll be right back."
"Go ahead." Lucas smiled and ruffled her hair.
Women in fiery love are always inseparable, reluctant to part even for a moment.
Watching Wanda’s fluttering departing figure, Lucas folded his arms and looked at Strange in the distance.
Sorcerer Ancient One slowly walked to his side, hands behind her back, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with him.
"Wanda is much more cheerful than before." Ancient One sighed softly, "It seems you can take good care of her."
"That’s naturally the case; I’ve always been extremely generous to my own people." Lucas raised his chin, pointing at Strange in the distance, "This new disciple of yours has pretty good magic talent."
"Although he can’t even conjure up the most basic portal right now, the number of magic meridians cleared within his body is more than ninety percent of your disciples."
Ancient One smiled gently: "He is the most talented person among all of us, and also the future Sorcerer Supreme. However... I have used the Eye of Agamotto to look through countless timelines, and Wanda similarly possesses the absolute qualification to become Sorcerer Supreme."
Lucas sneered: "Sorcerer Supreme is merely an empty title; you only care about going early to serve Vishanti. Speaking of taking over your shift, it doesn’t matter to you at all."
"Whether it is Wanda or Strange, both possess a certain degree of wisdom to stop the dimensional demon Dormammu."
Ancient One’s expression changed slightly, looking somewhat surprised: "Your Excellency... seems to know very well about Vishanti?"
"Not right now, let me retrieve it."
Lucas closed his eyes.
His will began to spread outward, sweeping across the entire starry sky along the laws of the Marvel single Universe. Deep within the Universe, the true source of white magic—that is, the tripartite Vishanti—immediately sensed this absolute power.
It slowly cast a gaze of goodwill.
In the clash of consciousnesses, Lucas nodded at it across space, considering it a greeting.
Vishanti’s massive divine sense vibrated slightly, suddenly unleashing a pure white stream of magic light that tore through the dimensions and landed accurately and flawlessly into Lucas’s palm.
Lucas opened his eyes and dispersed his consciousness.
In his right hand, a piece of white paper was currently floating quietly. It was an ancient page emanating a sacred white light, densely recorded with countless magic runes.
Its antiquity was such that even Ancient One had never seen it before.
Ancient One’s expression changed drastically in shock.
"This... This is the origin of primal white magic? Could this be... a torn page from the Book of the Vishanti?!"
Lucas handed the page in front of Ancient One, "Do you understand what is written on this?"
Ancient One held her breath, her fingertips trembling as she caressed the runes on the page. After carefully sensing for a long time, she said in admiration:
"This is a high-level cosmic control spell... capable of guiding the most primordial magic might of the Universe, pacifying all violent and chaotic energy. If Wanda studies it, as long as she masters the truth written on it, she will never have to worry about the Chaos Magic inside her going berserk and backfiring!"
"Oh? Vishanti is so sensible?"
Lucas casually put the page away.
Who says there are no worldly affairs outside, that superheroes aren’t just about killing and fighting!
