The Black Necromancer

Chapter 550: Prophecy (2)

In a deep and dark Void, Elena and Mica appeared, covered in a thin layer of red light. Elena looked around attentively before turning to Mica and nodding.

“We need to be quick. The Nexus Being warned us that it would only be a matter of time before the Paragon of Undeath discovers us in his body.” Elena said to her companion and Mica nodded. Together, the two of them set off, exploring the vast Void that spread out before them.

Thanks to the Nexus Being, Elena and Mica’s strength had been temporarily raised to the level of a Major God, allowing them to easily traverse the Void at a quick pace.

It did not take long before the two of them set eyes on their target.

Floating in the desolate Void, the gigantic form of Leon Cromwell, the progenitor of all Obsidian Skeletons, drifted listlessly, a vortex of energy surrounding him, melding with the Void, while breaking down his body. It looked as if he was the centerpiece of this entire universe.

“There he is.” Elena subconsciously clenched her fists, her jaw locking as she set her sights on the poor visage of the one she called her life partner.

“Careful. The Nexus Being said he wouldn’t be in his right senses. We have to subdue him to end this.” Mica’s wing stretched out and blocked off Elena. He could tell that she was about to rush forward and do something crazy.

“…You’re right. We need to do this carefully. Leon is insanely powerful. I’ve seen that power for myself. We can’t take him lightly.” Elena let out a sigh as she regained her control. She stared intensely at Leon before she began to utilize the Divine Power in her body.

This was something she had learned through her connection with Mica. It saved her the time needed to familiarize herself with Divine Power and its uses.

The bodies of the two transcendent beings began to rapidly grow, matching that of Leon’s. The change stirred the stiff body of the Obsidian Skeleton, and a pale green light lit up in the depths of his skull.

“It’s not him. Attack!” Elena did not waste time trying to recognize Leon. She could tell at a glance that the Leon she knew and this one that stared at her were two different people. Two short daggers appeared in her hands and her body faded into the darkness of the Void. Meanwhile, Mica opened h is wings wide and radiated a golden glow, drawing the attention of Leon.

“Snap out of it!” Mica bellowed, his voice booming in the emptiness of the Void, carried by his Divine Power. His jaw cracked open, revealing a ball of golden light that was swelling and condensing on itself.

From that ball of golden light, a concentrated beam of Divine Power shot out, slamming into Leon and pushing him back a distance. However, when the brightness died down, Mica realized that a barrier had formed around Leon, protecting him from the attack.

But that was just the beginning. Mica was a Dragon God, and every Dragon God was a force to be reckoned with. There was a reason why they usually remained in their Dragon forms, seeing human forms as weaker. It was because every part of their body was a weapon. They boasted insane defense, and each claw, tooth, wing, or tail, was a powerful weapon capable of crushing others around them.

With a flap of his wings, Mica darted forward, his claws gleaming with Divine Power.

“Eat this!” Mica’s entire body turned into a streak of golden light as he suddenly sped up. The golden streak flashed around Leon’s body, leaving cracks and breaks that glowed with a golden light. The golden light corroded Leon’s Obsidian bones continuously.

“ARRGH!” The pain spurred Leon’s movement. A spear formed of Obsidian bone formed from nothing in his hand and he waved it in an attempt to stab Mica, but his movements were stiff and rigid. If he had been in his right mind, he would have been able to respond better.

And if Izeal were not occupied with the Nexus Being outside, then a lot more attention would have been placed on Leon, which would allow him to resist attackers much easier.

In the boundless Void, the clashed continued for minutes, with Mica holding the advantage, but Leon’s sturdiness was not to underestimated. Even with golden cracks running all across his body, he still continued to fight. Searᴄh the novёlF~ire.net website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

But suddenly, his body froze, and a terrifying aura rose from him, giving Mica pause.

“Ah, I see. This is why you refused to move on the outside. The plan of the Nexus Being was rather well thought out.” A deep and terrifying voice that sent chills down Mica’s back suddenly slipped out of Leon’s open mouth.

“Izeal, the Paragon of Undeath.” Mica’s voice was cold.

“Child of Prophecy. You die today.”

As Izeal spoke, Leon’s body moved with greater coordination. He raised the spear and pointed it at Mica, a black flame springing to life on its tip.

“There’s a reason I’m called the Child of Prophecy. You are the one who dies today.” Mica growled. He did not wait for Izeal to make the first move, speeding forward and unleashing a beam of light from his mouth.

But instead of acting like a beam of light, it suddenly became sluggish, as if it was passing through a swamp, allowing Izeal to sidestep the beam like it was a simple curtain.

“This is my space. Even though I can’t use my full strength because of that pesky bastard out there, I can still deal with you in here.” Izeal growled as he got into a stance. He pulled back his arm that held the spear and the space around him seemed to bend in preparation for his attack.

“You think too highly of yourself.”

Crack!

Before Izeal could react, a black dagger stabbed into the space between Leon’s ribs, striking the corrupted Divine Spark.

A soundless explosion threw Elena away from Leon’s body as the massive energy contained within the core shattered.
