The Black Necromancer

Chapter 533: Calling For Help

An intense struggle broke out above all of the fighting. Leon was in the middle of it as he fended off the attacks from almost a dozen Gods at once. His form constantly changed as he adopted the right build to be able to fend off almost any attack that was thrown his way. However, the pressure was not small.

With each attack that Leon blocked and each enemy he fended off, a small part of him crystalized and sealed off a portion of his power. At first, Leon was surprised, but he soon found out the reason why.

‘Argon, that bastard is finally pulling out his ace, huh?’ Leon thought as he noticed that Argon remained at the back, not launching any attack, but still doing something strange. Leon spotted purple crystal the size of a human head between two of Argon’s large palms.

A steady stream of energy was being infused into the crystal, which increasingly began to take on the look of the same Obsidian that made up Leon’s bones.

However, even if Leon noticed, there was not much he could do. He was currently occupied with the other enemies and if he tried to force his way through in order to stop Argon, he would surely have to pay a painful price.

Therefore, Leon fell back on something else.

‘Nedra, some help please!’ He called out to his Spirit Companion.

‘Already ahead of ya.’ Nedra sounded cheeky and finished with a chuckle.

Just then, a clap of thunder was heard a split moment before a thick bolt of lightning fell on Argon, flinging him away and stopping whatever he was doing.

Next, a Domain of red energy manifested above him before condensing into an ultra sharp sword in a split moment, slashing down and dealing even more damage to Argon who plunged straight down into the open jaws of a giant black skull that subsequently blew up with terrifying proportions of energy.

Leon was taken aback, but he did not stop his efforts to beat back the enemies around him. All of this happened in just a fraction of a second, so Argon did not even have the time to react!

In the next moment, a shadow appeared within the haze of Divine Power that engulfed Argon, two silver blades in its hands, which slashed, slicing off Argon’s two topmost arms that were holding onto hisprized medallions.

“Argh!” It was then that Argon finally reacted from the attacks, letting out a pained grunt. “All of you will pay!”

Swish!

The silver shadow sped away and cut through the Gods surrounding Leon, leaving a pathway of injuries and Godblood, before finally stopping beside Leon.

“Took you long enough to call for help.” Nedra smirked as her sudden appearance made the attackers pause for a moment to appraise her.

“I thought I could take it. I probably can, but the risks are many.” Leon responded, taking the opportunity to catch his breath.

“No risk, no reward.”

“Bah, don’t tell me that.” Leon chuckled and turned to look at the site where Argon was only just emerging. He no longer bled from the wounds caused by his topmost arms being sliced off, but the injuries were not healing. “No need to worry too much, he won’t be healing from those anytime soon.” Her weapons glinted with a dangerous light. These were weapons fashioned from her own body, so they carried special characteristics. It was not a difficult thing for her to ensure a God carried an injury that lasted centuries with these weapons. Unless the weapons were destroyed or she died, the injuries would stick.

“YOU SLIPPERY RABBLE! I WILL DRAG YOU BACK IN SHAMBLES!”

“Looks like I made him mad. Take care of these ones, let me hold him back for you.” Nedra spoke to Leon as she prepared to face one of the hardest fights in her life.

“Are you sure you can handle him while I deal with these ones?” Leon was concerned.

“Heh, I’m sure. He has many hands, but I have many legs. We’ll see who wins.” Nedra winked before taking off, turning into a silver blur that slipped through the net around them and dashed at Argon, moving so quickly that she was nothing more than a silver flash.

Meanwhile, Leon looked at the two arms that had been left floating beside him. Nedra had snatched Argon’s arms after she had sliced them off and brought them to him. He waved his hand and the two arms broke down, turning into powder before being absorbed by his bones. He then picked up the two medallions floating in front of him and stashed them away. He would continue using his skulls for now.

Turning to the Gods that had gathered around him, he grinned, which looked quite scary in his True Body. They had paused their attacks ever since Nedra appeared.

“Shall we get back to where we stopped?” He asked, his six arms opening wide, as if to welcome them.

Without waiting for their response, Leon rushed forward, appearing before one of the more troublesome Gods that was proficient in ranged combat. This God had been acting as a cover for his comrades, blocking off Leon whenever he tried to approach and corner one of them.

“Wha-” Leon’s hand gripped the skull and crushed, completely obliterating that God in a split second. However, that was not all. To ensure she was dead, the skulls in Leon’s upper arms glowed brightly before projecting a barrier that pressed down and shrunk, shrinking the size of the God until it was the size of a fist.

Then powerful, destructive energies began to go off in the barrier, obliterating the rest of her body.

As if that was not enough, Leon grabbed the orb and pushed it into his open jaws, swallowing it in one motion. It was strange and creepy, just what he needed to scare the enemy even more. For some reason, Leon felt as if he could completely crush these Gods much faster than before.
